Gameweek 2 Team! 88 points GW1! Time to see if this strategy really works!!! I’m gonna put #Elite64 and livefpl.net to the test when creating my GW2 team and transfer plan.
FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM TIPS FOR 2019-20
FPL GW2 Team
🚨 FINAL CONFIRMED GW2 Team! 🚨
***UPDATE: Final team for GW2. No changes. Sticking with Salah captain, but it’s not ideal with 120 minutes midweek. Klopp said Salah and Mane were the least affected by the extra minutes, hopefully it means Salah will be ready physically. It helps that it’s only the second league game and not deep into the second half of the season when fatigue plays a bigger role. Good luck everyone!!! 👍💯 – Bruno
PREVIOUS NOTES: Same team as the video, only one decision to confirm – captain. Banking the free transfer to have 2FTs GW3 after watching another round of games. Reading up on all the press conferences before posting the final team which will be uploaded here before GW2 deadline.
This might be the blog format for the season: 1) Video early in the week shows the current team and transfer plan. 2) Blog has the latest team after catching up on the press conferences. 3) Blog has final confirmed team closer to deadline.
Thanks! – Bruno

Hi. No major issues for GW2, you should be able to bank the FT.
You’re spot on with the positions that have to deliver GW2, especially King. Jota played well, but he was unlucky in the final moments.

Hi Bruno,
I currently have sterling and salah and I am very happy with my team. However, the rest of my mini league have gone for Kane/Auba. Meaning having both sterling and salah does not provide much protection from my competitors.
Is it best to stick with Salah and sterling who i think are the better options, or would it be beneficial to try and incorporate Kane/Auba to provide cover from the rest of my mini league?

Hi. That’s a difficult question! I’ve never been asked that, need to think about it.
GW2 could be close between the two sets of players again, which makes it even harder.
I might stick with your differentials (who are nothing like differentials) as long as they are delivering returns to match or surpass Kane/Auba.
There’s also a small chance some of your rivals could be making a switch to Sterling/Salah and you might not be able to see it. If they’re on an early Wildcard, their transfers for the week will show 0 transfers.

Hi Bruno,
Just had a quick question about the Live league feature on LiveFPL.net.
Does the ownership stats update before or after the deadline for the following game week?
Love the videos, you’re tips have helped me immensely, 96 points my first ever GW, and like you are going to stick with my team for week 2, unless someone picks up a knock in the super cup tomorrow

Hi. The ownership stats are for the previous Gameweek. For example right now, the stats are from when the game refreshed/updated right after the GW1 deadline on Friday.
It doesn’t take into account any transfers they make, or have already made this week.
Wow 96pts! That’s amazing. 👍
I forgot about the Super Cup when I recorded the video. I might’ve mentioned it as another factor to consider before making transfers this week.
Thanks for the comment.

Hi Bruno..I enjoyed your video on youtube..you just give me the most useful tips on how to deal with my direct competitors…I have questions for you..I’ve dillema regarding striker and midfielder as I hv Jimenez as my fwd and Tielemans and Siggy as my underperform midfielder for gw1..sI’m considering to just sub in Kelly for either one of them to form 541/532 or I just keep my FT for gw3?oh btw..I hv scout my direct competitor and 3 out 6 league that I scout has Perez…what I should do?really looking forward for your reply..anyway..I love your team templates…scoring 89 points for the first time in my career as FPL player..

Hi. Glad to help. Leaning toward giving the same players another game to prove themselves, but it’s not straightforward.
One factor is fixtures, and Crystal Palace should have the edge GW2. One concern for Kelly is he might not keep his place once Gary Cahill gets up to speed.
If your players don’t raise their game, then they might not be pulling their weight and could be facing the chopping block GW3.
As long as Tielemans is not falling behind Perez, you should be ok.
Up to you to decide, but I might stick with the original plan for one more round, then adjust GW3 as needed.
Congrats on 89pts! 👍

Hey Bruno! I was initially planning to bank my transfer because performances will change as the season continues but I have a couple things that I’ve been considering and was wondering what you think. Here’s my team as of right now:
Ryan, Button
Robertson, VVD, Digne, PVA, Kelly
Salah (C), Sterling, Perez, Sigurdsson, Dendoncker
Wilson, King, Greenwood
My original transfer plan was to bank a transfer then do a double transfer Wilson to Rashford (I’m also concerned that Rashford’s price might rise?) and PVA to Dunk (Potter had Brighton looking quite organized and if their 5-back formation stays GW2 I’m very tempted to get a Brighton defender). Then, before GW4, swap out button for a 4.5 keeper because of Brighton’s man city fixture. However, I’m really considering using my free transfer this week to replace Robertson with TAA and then take a 4 point hit GW3 to do the Rashford and dunk transfers because TAA, though he’s not defensively solid right now, is a huge attacking threat and the quality of his passes are still there. Also, if TAA or Adrian don’t do well defensively and cause liverpool to concede, then VVD and Robertson’s FPL points suffer too and because their attacking returns probably aren’t as high, I’m thinking that maybe TAA is a safer bet.
Thanks and keep up the great content!

Hey! All reasonable concerns. You can pick and choose which of my tips make most sense to you, and it’s ok to disagree with other ideas. 👍
My thoughts on these players and their potential, all the factors I’m considering are on the video. It’s possible we could score the same total points with different combinations of players. Your plan could work well.

Hi Bruno
Seems you have affected me so much! 😀 First the same team except i went barkley/zinchenko prior to first gw1 video and then my elite64 livefpl comment just a couple of hours before your gw2 upload. Now I just hope to keep up with ya to the end of the season 🙂
Question, which sites do you use, if any, for getting player stats? I used fantasyfootballfix last season, but seems I am only interested in the live game section this season. I am trying out fantasyfootballscout member this year, and i quite like the extensive stats they show. Allows me to hold on to players I am in doubt about due to good stats otherwise, and to reconsider Wilson/King, if they dont perform again (statswise totally disaster, especially king)…
Not planning any transfers this week so good luck to you!
Btw. Zinchenko stats were quite good, so if Pep doesnt rotate me out, then he should be quite good if he keeps it up!

Hi. I know, that was funny with the comment and the league ID. 😀
My main resource for stats is Google, wherever it takes me to provide the stats I need. I do follow a few stats-driven Twitter accounts like Squawka. I also use Twitter search for stats. I mainly use stats if I need to choose between players, it’s another factor. But I don’t actively search them just to stay on top of stats.
Fantasy Football Fix and Fantasy Football Scout have been doing amazing work forever, although I don’t use them. I used to use Fix for price changes a few years ago, but haven’t for a while. I’ve never used Fantasy Football Scout and am a bit embarrassed that I don’t know any of their features or tools. I’m sure they are excellent resources.
I don’t know why I don’t use them. I may change my mind in the future like I did with analyzing #Elite64. I only made that change to my strategy last season, 11 out of 12 seasons I never looked at an opponent’s team or mini-league.
You’re right about Zinchenko!

Does it make a difference whci 15 mgrs I use from Elite64#?

They’re all great to be in this league, but it might. My list is a combination of strong managers with winning records and popular FPL influencers on social media. I know you didn’t ask this, but it feels a bit invasive to show their names. I’m more comfortable keeping my list private and having others create their own.
Thanks.

Hi Bruno
I hope you are well and enjoyed GW1. Fantastic video with awesome strategy.
FPL aside, some entertaining football. Man City and Liverpool, continuing from last year. Spurs a bit lucky at the end, but Kane magic made the difference. Arsenal seemed comfortable and Auba had a great goal, with Chelsea looking shaky at the back. Man U defense was solid and their attack looked deadly as Ian Wright put it.A team to keep an eye on.
I achieved 91 points with 253k OR, so quite happy. Though its early days and just need to be patient, disciplined and build momentum now.
My team is as follows:
Pope, (Stekelenberg)
Robertson, Van Dijk, Digne, Wan Bissaka, (Lundstram)
Salah, Sterling, Perez, Moura,(Dendonker)
Wilson, King (Greenwood)
ITB- 0.5m
Any initial thoughts on my team and possible transfers for GW2.
My 2 possible weak links for GW2 specifically are Pope and Moura.
1)Pope-Ryan might be a better option, due to a better fixture and at home whereas Pope plays Arsenal away- I think Arsenal almost always if not always scores at home, so cleansheet unlikely. Not sure its worth it though, as what if Ryan concedes, as West Ham are an attacking team and will want to open up their account and hit some points.
There is also Adrian at 4.5m…awesome value for a top 6 goalkeeper…..however I would need to sell one of Robertson or Van Dijk to accommodate him.
Im not sure if this Adrian ahead of another Liverpool defender is worth it.
2) Moura – Disappointed in GW1 with 5 points only, but slightly less concerned, as Moura could score against Man City, like he did in Champions League match, but there might be other 7.5m- 8m players that might have higher points potential. Siggy a prime candidate, along with Martial, whose price might rise soon. Pulisic also has great potential, with Chelsea needing to bounce back soon.
I could likely bank the transfer, but need to assess the above first before proceeding.
Let me know your thoughts and recommendations on the above and if you spot any other weaklinks..
PS: Good to see the email notification tick box back!

Hi. Doing well, thanks. Yes, it was an entertaining Opening Weekend. Kane only needs a chance or two.
91pts! Amazing start. 👍
I don’t see any issues for GW2, but we should keep a close eye on Bournemouth’s attackers and possible replacements just in case.
1) Agree with you on Ryan vs. Pope. I said on the video that Ryan has two home games against teams that failed to score GW1, but as you said, one of them is West Ham who faced a strong Man City defense. Might not be enough of a difference to use up the transfer.
2) Moura can be given another chance yes. Anything can happen when these two teams meet. Siggy vs. Martial is worth watching this weekend. I’m surprised Lampard didn’t start Pulisic, so I’d like to watch them a few more games.
No pressing issues and your assessments make sense. Leaning toward banking the transfer in order to bring the player or players with the best scoring potential GW3.
Yes, the email notification box is back! I’m actually writing this reply from my phone and I’m not sure if I’ve tested using it this way. Hope you get the notification!

Hi Bruno,
Firstly thank you for your videos and tips. I will be following your closely this year, I really value the great content you put out so thank you! 85 points for me this week!
Below is my starting 11:
Ryan
Robertson, VVD, Zinchenko, Digne
Salah, Siggy, Stirling, Perez
King Jimenez
Bench:
Pope, Dendonker, lundstram, Greenwood.
Would you advice to make any subs?
I’m taking your advice and not making any transfers this week and looking to get Rashford it!
Also is it true the price changed won’t occur until GW3?
Once again thank you!

Hi. That’s amazing to hear, glad you like the content! 85 points is a perfect start, great work. 👍
Your team should be set. Be careful with my advice when it relates to my team. I said I wasn’t making transfers, but everyone’s team has different needs.
In your case, it’s ready for GW2. Two free transfers will make it easier to bring a more expensive player like Rashford. We’ll see if United can build from that performance.
I don’t know about the price changes. There could be many factors like a change in the price change algorithm, or active wildcards which don’t count toward price changes.
Thanks for the great comment. 🙂
