🚨 CONFIRMED! Final GW1 team! 🚨
***UPDATE: I’ve selected van Aanholt in the final spot for Zinchenko. One factor is to reduce the risk of rotation. He was also in my first draft, so it feels right. Zaha stayed at Crystal Palace which increases their attack potential, and PVA is the defender I trust most in the £5.5m price range:
- Top points scorer last season
- Second most clean sheets (12)
- Second in bonus points (17)
PREVIOUS NOTES: Reading up on all the press conferences before posting the final team. Zinchenko will not make my final team. Zinchenko should be ok to start GW1, but I don’t know Guardiola’s plans for his fullbacks after signing Cancelo. I will most likely keep the same team structure with Perez.

Hi. Difficult question. The new video which I’m uploading now explains the ownership stats of Sterling vs. Kane. Sterling has far higher ownership and could be a threat to non-owners. It’s something to consider, but you might be able to wait another round because they play each other GW2.
Hard to predict when these two teams meet.
Zinchenko and Wan-Bissaka have similar points-potential GW2. Both have tricky fixtures.

I followed your selection for GW1 and went on with some modifications of my own

Siggy, Perez, Sterling, Salah
Jota, Wilson
Button, Lundstram, Dendoncker, Greenwood
This team got me 85 points, I am thinking of removing Walker-Peters for Kelly due to his fixture against Man City
Would like some advice about this matter.

Such a difficult question. I’m not sure I would select either KWP or Kelly as starters for my team when thinking more long-term. Pochettino has a history of rotating his fullbacks, and Palace signed Gary Cahill from Chelsea. Best guess is Kelly will start GW2, but beyond that, it’s harder to predict.
I might try to solve the issue for good, keeping a close eye on a Man United defender like Wan-Bissaka, possibly van Aanholt, depending on performances GW2.
Would need more time to think this through before deciding.

I’m giving Perez another chance as a starter. His first two fixtures were tricky, then they get easier. I’m hoping he can return some points GW2 to set up nicely for the future.

What do you think about bringing in Mané in as soon as possible (I’m targeting wc after gw4 because many different teams get easier fixtures then)? For now I’m thinking getting Robertson out for 5- 5.5m defender, Mane in for Sigurdsson, and Wilson out for cheaper forward.

I love Mane, a green light on the video. I also think the best way to start the season is with two Liverpool defenders. They are like mini-attackers at a cheaper price! 🙂
Wish I could get Mane, but in my case, I would be afraid of selling Siggy and Wilson ahead of favorable fixtures GW2.
Your point on Mane is spot on, so it’s ultimately up to you to decide.
