Thanx man.. Will def watch this site.
Think Im done now… What you think
Button (Ryan)
TAA, Digne, Zinchenko, Kelly (Gibson)
Zaha, Sterling, Salah[c] (Oriol Romeu Vidal, Dendonker)
Kane, Jota, King
If I am honest, Im still not 100% set on Kane, BUT at home to Villa is so tempting!!!

If I drop kane… then im thinking:
Kane > 10mil
Kelly > Robo

No problem. Know what you mean with Kane. Every time I put him in, it starts to eat up at the team balance. Most of my drafts don’t have Kane, but it will be a nightmare without him GW1.
Kelly as a starter is the main concern. The Community Shield was a bit worrying for TAA. He had a poor game and came off at 66min. It is just pre-season, but there is a possible step to VVD that allows an upgrade on Kelly. I’m keeping TAA for now, just keeping options open until deadline.
Just needs a decision on whether to go with or without Kane, and that weakest starting spot. Either way, you are already strong.

Thanks for all the great info Bruno, it’s gonna be very helpful to me.
You’ve got me worried about Vardy now!
I was going on the assumption that there will be a lot more penalties this season, so have based my squad around that.
Hmm, somewhat similar to Brandons below.
Please give me your thoughts on:
Ryan (Button)
Robbo (V), TAA, LaPorte (Kelly, Gibson)
Salah (C), Sterling, Milivojevic, GĂĽndogan, (Dendoncker) , [? Rodri instead of GĂĽndogan]
Vardy, King, Murray.
Second season for me (2018/19, 2167pts, ranked 411294)
Cheers

No problem, glad to help. I’m still traumatized by Vardy from last season. First transfer I made heading into GW2, straight red card 60min in! Haha.
Defense core looks strong. Milivojevic is somewhat dependent on Zaha staying to draw free kicks and penalties.
Vardy is a quality pick, don’t worry. The problem is his price which will require a compromise or two. I would list Mili, Gundogan and Murray as positions to experiment with.
For example, you could drop Gundogan down to a 4.5m. I’m not sure about any defensive mid like Rodri or Gundogan. I’d rather go to a ÂŁ6m+ or the cheapest then try to improve another position.
If we get news that Mendy will be out until at least September, Zinchenko becomes an option for Laporte who has a knock. This frees up ÂŁ2m which is enough to bring in a ÂŁ6m defender like Digne for one of the ÂŁ4m DEF.
It would give you a new option like this:
Ryan (Button)
Robbo (V), TAA, Zinchenko, Digne (Gibson)
Salah (C), Sterling, Milivojevic, (Hayden, Dendoncker)
Vardy, King, Murray.
So we’d have to compare Laporte+Gundogan vs. Zinchenko+Digne.
Overall, your team core is strong, so it’s safe to build from this team. Definitely keep your team to compare to future ones. 👍

Hi Bruno,
Love the FPL content. I am currently torn between zaha and fraser in my draft. I do already have wilson however bournemouths opening two fixtures ever so slightly eases me towards Fraser. Having said this, I am unsure as to whether zaha would be the better option in the long term as due to palaces great dependence on him, he is the main man for them. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Also, do you still stand by what you said about TAA. I couldn’t help but worry whilst watching the community shield yesterday when he was substituted in the 66th minute. Would you still say he is an almost guaranteed starter or should I reevaluate the situation and perhaps opt to put in VVD as his greater gurantee of first team football may outweigh the greater attacking capabilities of TAA. P S. I already have Robertson in my draft.
Finally, are you still confident that zinchenko will be a solid pick for my final FPL draft going into the start of the season, seeing as mendy is rumoured to miss the first half a dozen pl games.
Thank you in advance

Hi. Appreciate that, thanks. Know what you mean with Bournemouth. The very first few drafts I made this year had triple Bournemouth. I’m now settled on Wilson and King, but would be just as happy with Wilson and Fraser.
So close Between Fraser and Zaha. I would consider Zaha’s happiness if he stayed and felt that Palace made it difficult for him to move to a new club. Maybe a slight edge to Fraser, even with the risk of doubling up.
As far as TAA, you’re spot on about the Community Shield. Not only the substitution, but just seeing all the options Klopp has with Gomez and all the fit defenders, plus Milner. My first draft had Robertson and VVD, not TAA. I want to reduce all the risks at the start.
Zinchenko is another tough decision. I need to research the latest on Mendy, but even then, it might not be enough for me to trust Zinchenko. City’s first 3 fixtures are against teams that can score against anyone.
I would lean toward a gamble on Bournemouth for the first question. But the second two are big decisions for my own team, and I’m undecided at this moment. I have to research everything for the next few days so I have more confidence in my answers.
Really great points, difficult but important decisions.

Great video Bruno. Any idea on how to see the Elite 64 team sheet before season starts?
Upper 90 Studios

Thanks. Yes, that’s the biggest problem really. We can’t see it until after the deadline on Friday, only whatever is shared publicly. Makes the first week more exciting in a way. A conservative strategy should work for GW1, then we are covered after that.

Season start you’re back with a bang Bruno & no mistake,
Excellent info & tips.
I finished best ever last season, & similar to yourself calmed down on transfers – though still took a few hits Sundays. the biggest difference for me was thinking NOT to use Wild Cards early for TV but to hold out till the 2nd IB & to late season. This forced me to look properly at transfers, not just price rises and next week but the next 6~10. Massive improvement in OR from the start.
Your attack/defence fixture charts are liquid gold, once I factored in expected goals F/A for teams they’ve made me rip my team up & begin again. I’ll post my team later with points I realized. For now I’m following one more rule to your set.

Welcome back. That’s amazing with your transfer strategy last season like with the Wildcards. Best ever for you, congrats.
Yes, the separate versions of the cheatsheet were key last season. The first version of the season might not be as accurate because it needs info from this season starting with GW1. But once it updates, it helped push me into the top 100k and I never dropped out.
Please explain your last line when you can, thanks. I want to hear more and your team ideas.

I did a calculation on 6 & 9 week expected goals by using last seasons total and your attack fixtures chart.
Basically the top 2 & 6 are top 2 & 6, and bottom 10 are still bottom 10.
CHE,MUN seem in disarray to be confident choosing them so probably best to look a little below, but where?
There are some important differentials, particularly looking at popular picks on forums. I’d followed much of these and gone a bit light on City/lfc instead having Perez,Moura,Wilson+Fraser
Yet despite plum starting fixtures Bournemouth & Spurs come out firmly bottom 10 over six gws; & Lei bottom 10 full stop, indeed they would have to be winning the league again this season not to be.
WAT & EVE are close behind top 6, and some fair priced choices there, Siggy rightly popular it seems.
Possibly the biggest differential though is WHU with that dreadful first fixture but top 6 overall, improved squad, with some nicely priced choices who have been performing well together pre season.
So to avoid early Wild Card; Salah stays but out with KdB,Perez,Frazer,Moura in with Sterling,Siggy,B.Silva,Lanzini
My front 3 are Wilson,Origi,Greenwood – not happy with the Origi pick but no clear alternatives yet.
Doing the expected goals with defence the story is much more mixed after the top 2.
Everton & Spurs come next, and Digne/Coleman look attractive there.
A mixed bag of che, man, ars, whu, bri, cry all come out the same, so maybe cheap pick potential there rather than the popular WanB
And then there is Wolves & Burnley, are they swapping the Europa curse? If so and with Pope back between the sticks Burnley rank up with Everton otherwise they are ‘only’ alongside bri, cry, whu, che, ars, mun.
On this basis I’m in on Pope and Digne, replacing Ederson & Luiz (need lose mci def to get B.Silva in)
Pope,Ryan; VvD,Digne,Zinc,Rico,Lund
Might need to do Ryan -> Steck, possibly Digne->Dunk to upgrade Origi we’ll see.

Appreciate that, thanks. Analyzing Elite 64 was key last season, as well as the Top 10k template from livefpl.net.
Your team is so good. Maybe the final two questions are TAA vs VVD just to be 100% safe in the beginning, and Zinchenko versus going risky cheapest and trying different things in the attack.
We might have the final answer after feeling out the team template and structure from strong managers in the FPL Community.
Thanks for sharing your ideas, it helps me feel more confident about mine which is super close. 👍

Hi Bruno!
been following the comments for so many seasons now and loving the new content and videos.
I am struggling with my GK pick.
As it stands now I have Pope and Button.
What’s your view on Pickford? And Hart?
Looking to do the one GK strategy this season because it worked well for me last season.
Upper 90 Studios
06/08/19
That’s so great, welcome back! 👍
Me too with the GK. I would avoid Hart. Pickford is a tricky one. He was my first-choice when I started putting together an instinct team before pre-season. Then they sold Idrissa Gueye and I got cold feet. His price became a bigger issue in my drafts. Everton have the best starting fixtures according to our fixture cheatsheet…
Pope is a tricky one. Our fixture chart shows green GW1, then red Arsenal away, orange Wolves away, red Liverpool at home. Then it’s clear green after that. Pope is gaining traction in the FPL Community and that’s another factor in my final decision. Going against that popular ruling was causing my rank to slip in recent years, a reason why I pulled back on creating FPL content. Safe works, then finding the right time to attack.
Wish we had more info from the season already, like whether Everton are ok with the new defensive midfielder they bought.
I’m still undecided so it’s hard to give a final answer at this moment. I’m on Ryan but not 100% happy. Fixture-wise, his starting fixtures just beat Pope, then Pope has an edge around GW5+. The popular influencer template could help with the final decision.

Hi Bruno
Good to see you back up and running and l found your video’s very informative and l will check out #Elite64, over the last couple of years I have followed 6-8 top players to compare teams but this may well give a better spread so thanks for the info!!
Last season was a poor finish at 190k, l took my eye of the ball over Xmas and never fully recovered, so looking forward to a fresh start.
I have a number of permutations either with or without Kane, who does worry me as l believe he will have a great season. The problem is that with having Salah and Sterling who are “must haves” this compromises the squad, but will l be hiding behind the sofa every GW!!
Below is may current squad – Option 1.
*These are my core players
POPE / BUTTON
*ROBERTSON / *TAA / DIGNE / ZINCHENKO / LUNSTRAM
*SALAH / *STERLING / SIGGY / BARKLEY / DENDONKA
WILSON / KING / GREENWOOD
Option 2
POPE / BUTTON
*ROBERTSON / *VVD / DIGNE / WALKER / LUNSTRAM
*SALAH / *STERLING / SIGGY / MOURA / DENDONKA
KING / MURRAY / GREENWOOD
Option 2 with 0.5 ITB
Option 1. – Having watched the Community Shield TAA looked vulnerable defensively again and Salah gave Zinchenko a torrid time, although he won’t face that type of player for a while and Mendy appears to miss the start of the season. Lunstram could be Kelly.
My main dilemma is Siggy, Everton haven’t created that much in pre-season, l think they have only scored 3-4 goals and Barkley who is a bit of a punt (Pedro is more nailed on) but he has had a decent pre-season and Lampard has asked him to be more creative and take risks.
Zaha’s future at Palace is still uncertain and if he stays will he be motivated?? I am possibly leaning to L Moura as a 2 week punt (news of Ali injury may mean more game time) and he has looked sharp or Martial who is playing in a more central role has caught my eye.
Up front with Bournemouth’s Wilson & King, did they over preform last season and will they tail off this year?
Option 2 – As mentioned above TAA becomes VVD and Walker in for Zinchenko.
Midfield is the same issue with Siggy, could move to Perez and Moura in for Barkley.
Up front Wilson > Murray, although he is getting on he has performed especially at home and has some decent early fixtures.
Also, l have Greenwood who has a high ownership, my concern is if he doesn’t get any minutes will his price drop?
Captain – currently on Salah.
On my watch list –
Chelsea – Pulisic / Emerson / Barkley
Arsenal – Mkhitaryan / Aubameyang / Pepe at a big price!
W. Ham – they have an interesting midfield now with Fournels & Haller up front could be just what they need.
Leicester – Tielmans / Perez – not the easiest early fixtures.
Wolves – not sure on their assets atm with Europa league, watch and wait.
Man U – Maguire / Martial / Wan B
Look forward to hearing from you and l would appreciate any comments.
All the best

Hi Malc. Nice! I hope it helps you. Yes, #Elite64 entering Team IDs manually plus livefpl.net analyzing Elite64 and Top10k ownership stats.
Know exactly what you mean with Kane, good point with his potential to have a great season. It’s close, but I’m aiming at a combination of players that could match or beat him, so I don’t have to put all the pressure on one player.
For that reason, I’m currently favoring Salah and Sterling as the core with Siggy and Wilson, also double Liverpool defenders. It feels stronger, the points-potential just tops Kane+Salah+Sterling drafts because those require cuts to key areas.
Before I read your thoughts on the two options, I’m leaning toward Option 1 with Wilson. It never feels right when I see one of my drafts and there’s no Wilson. Option 1 feels super close to my own favorite squad, or at least the version with a ÂŁ6m midfielder. I’m looking at Moura and Murray on Option 2. To be fair, Moura can do well while Son is suspended. But I trust you players more in Option 1.
Now reading your points. Agree with you on TAA and CS performance. Things change quickly, and I’m bouncing between TAA and VVD, if VVD allows a worthy improvement elsewhere. Not completely sold on any Man City defender because of our fixture cheatsheet that shows a problem in the first 3 games. But the popular vote on Twitter in the community is a factor and I may have to build safeguard I might not have done in previous seasons. Lundstram should be ok. Kelly has a risk with high ownership and possibility of panic sell.
Can see your point with Siggy. But they were without Richarlison and Moise Kean who is a quality signing. It will be a lift in the dressing room to have a full Italy international and the Copa America champion.
I haven’t read up as much on Chelsea yet. Barkley is interesting if it gives major strength in other areas. I might work from this idea.
Not seeing signs of Bournemouth’s attack slowing down. Fixtures help.
Barkley makes your drafts already, so I wouldn’t have him down on the Watchlist. From that list, I’d highlight Pulisic, Auba, Leicester duo, United defenders. All to watch closely.
Captain is set.
Those are the main notes. I appreciate you sharing all your thoughts and advice, it’s a major help with questions for my own team. 👍

Hi Bruno,
Thanks for last year. I owe my good rank too your good start. (top 190k) but should have went higher since I didn’t manage my emotions properly towards the end and made a decent amount of errors.
I’m more determined this year to go for top 150k.
Could you please review my team?
Pope/Button (Doubting between Pope and Guaita)
Robertson, VVD, Zinchenko, Dunk, Lundstram (Dunk move to leicester?)
Salah(c) Sterling, KDB, Perez, Dendoncker (Might swap Dendoncker for Hayden)
Wilson, King, Greenwood
Doubting to go from Perez to Barkley and Dunk to a 5M defender (like coleman/valery)
Please help me:)
Upper 90 Studios
06/08/19
Hi. Glad that helped you. Emotions were hurting me in the two seasons prior to the last one. I was trying to get too clever with transfers and it didn’t work. Strong FPL managers have a template with key players that impact our rank if ignored.
Great tip on Dunk, a move to Leicester would open up even more options with our squad formations.
Liking the idea with Perez to a ÂŁ6m mid like Barkley, then seeing if you could boost Dunk up. The question is whether we can trust ÂŁ5m that much over ÂŁ4.5m, or if keeping the extra ÂŁ0.5m ITB could be insurance. I have a draft with 0.5m ITB that allows an escape plan from a ÂŁ6m mid to ÂŁ6.5m. Or VVD to TAA in this particular draft.
With your combination of players, Salah+Sterling+Wilson… plus KDB, using one weak starter is how I would approach it. Experimenting with that final spot and the other position is the main option. Or an alternate without KDB to have 11 starters you can trust.
Your team is already strong. Just the minor notes. Hope you smash well into the top 100k this year! Good luck. 👍

Hi Bruno
Thoughts on my team
Ryan (Button)
TAA, VVD, Digne, Adam Smith (Lundstram)
Salah, Sterling, Siggy, Dendonker (Hayden)
Kane, King (Greenwood)
Thanks
Upper 90 Studios

Hi. The way you’ve set it is how I would approach this type of draft that has Salah Sterling Kane, plus a strong core defense and Siggy. It will require weak starters, in your case Adam Smith and Dendoncker.
I can’t improve it if going with this core. I might experiment with the ÂŁ4.5m to see if it’s possible to improve it. Dendoncker is probably the best 4.5m mid option, with Hayden alongside.
Your structure could work as is. It does put pressure on Kane to do the muscle work. Another idea is to consider alternates without Kane, like this:
Option 1: Kane + 2x weak ÂŁ4.5m starters
Option 2: New forward who could be weaker than Kane + 2x good quality starters. Zero weak ÂŁ4.5m starters.
Which do you trust the most? You’ve maximized the scoring potential with your particular core of players. It’s whether to consider a different draft without Kane.
My recent builds use Salah and Sterling, no Kane, no weak starters. But we can all get big points with different player combos, not right or wrong. 👍
