Gameweek 1 team revealed! This GW1 team is going to be a tough one to beat, but if I make any changes, you will know exactly where to see them.
FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM TIPS FOR 2019-20
FPL GW1 Team
🚨 CONFIRMED! Final GW1 team! 🚨
***UPDATE: I’ve selected van Aanholt in the final spot for Zinchenko. One factor is to reduce the risk of rotation. He was also in my first draft, so it feels right. Zaha stayed at Crystal Palace which increases their attack potential, and PVA is the defender I trust most in the £5.5m price range:
- Top points scorer last season
- Second most clean sheets (12)
- Second in bonus points (17)
PREVIOUS NOTES: Reading up on all the press conferences before posting the final team. Zinchenko will not make my final team. Zinchenko should be ok to start GW1, but I don’t know Guardiola’s plans for his fullbacks after signing Cancelo. I will most likely keep the same team structure with Perez.
I will reply to as many comments as I can and it will be quicker than usual. Thanks! – Bruno

Hi Bruno,
Quick question…
Would it be wise to have (a)Fraser, Wilson and King all 3 in the squad for GW1 or,
(B) Fraser and playing King as lone striker or,
(C) playing Wilson and King as forwards (leaving Fraser out)
Which option would you rather go with?
Cheers!

Thanks so much Bruno I really appreciate your feedback. I like your thought process and how u filter through information. Everything isn’t always black and white and simple straight forward numbers and frankly I agree with u I think these media people especially from fpl love twisting the stats or pointing out the obvious where the entire football world band wagons and we all look like fools. Same how I feel when it comes to Vegas and the spreads in the nfl etc. is there a league code I can join you guys? And feed information and data off of so I can kick my friends asses and take all their money for once lol? I will certainly consider all angles you have considered and based on my failures in the past and others mistakes and learnings I think we so much that happened with transfers and up in the air I think your right, best to go with solid playmakers you know will start and get opportunity to play full 90 and create chances. I think I get to blinded by the jerseys of the top 6 and forget a guy like Fraser or Sigurd really dominate the influence of the squad and have proven they can perform. I guess I’ll stick to my plan with some slight plans to move 1 or 2 players in the opening weeks to better fit fixtures. I think
Vardy against a tired wolves will dominate and I think rashford or martial given they are the frontline, will take even more advantage of a tired wolves in week 2, rashford for vardy opens up my .5 million to then transfer Fraser to richarlison or sigurd when bourn meet man city in week 3 and Everton continue their run of nice fixtures. There potential to even see the Everton frontman after the first few weeks which could open up more funds for midfield n defense and if I desperately should need it I could always use my wildcard gw 5 or 8

No problem. I enjoyed reading your comment and top advice. Not sure if you meant our mini-league code, it is: hjsv11
Thanks for the nice words, it means a lot and motivates me to continue. 👍

Hi Bruno, thanks for great info!
Whats your thoughts about Pope and Heaton as rotating GK?
Why don’t you mention Walker as a potentional Defender. Only 6£ and most likely to start every game ?
Will Wan-Bissaka be a good pick this season?
Thanks

Heaton is gone to Aston Villa?

GK rotation is a top strategy. Walker is a quality option as well. In my case, his higher price would mean a reshuffle to the squad.
Wan-Bissaka is an amazing player for FPL, BPS magnet. I would prefer to see how United get on after a poor season defensively, but they have reinforcements now.
Thanks for the great questions.

Hi! Nice website! Great to have u!
What do you think is better. Stones or Van bissaka as a replacement for zinchenko. Stones will get more clean sheets and Van Bissaka maybe more points!? How do you make such a decision ?^^

Hi! Appreciate that, thanks!
Leaning toward a gamble on Wan-Bissaka. I’ve chosen PVA as my replacement for Zinchenko, but you have great ideas as well. No right or wrong.
The main reason for my choice was thinking about which defender I trusted the most in the £5.5m price range. One factor is to reduce the risk of rotation. PVA was also in my first draft, so it was a smooth swap. Zaha stayed at Crystal Palace which increases their attack potential.
I’ve added some PVA stats at the top of this pots, and you will on the FPL website that Wan-Bissaka can match or beat PVA for some of these such as Bonus points. AWB 18 bonus points last season, PVA 17 bonus…

Hi Bruno
Cant wait for GW 1 to start!. Hope your team has been finalised now.
Some final tinkering, will appreciate your advice.
Replacement options for Zinchenco:
Option 1 – Direct Swap:
– Coleman, Stones, Wan Bissaka, Zouma/Chistensen. Best option?
Option 2- Structure Change:
– Zinchencio>Rico;
-Siggy>Moura(replace with Pulisic/D Silva or other 7.5m after GW1 ) &
Greenwood>Wood (has amazing PL and preseason record).
Option 3- Price Shift:
Ryan> Leno
Zinchenco> Holebas
Your feedback on the above will be truly appreciated and final words of wisdom or press news.
Good Luck, wishing you a fantastic start to GW1.

Hi. My team is ready! Liking AWB from the list, possibly Coleman also. I’ve gone with PVA for my Zinchenko replacement and added the reasons at the top of this post.
I might prefer keeping the shape you had without significant alterations.
Good luck!

Howdy Bruno!
Am I the only one thinking that Ryan will not have a better season than prior?
Reason: Brighton new manager wants to play attacking based football and I don’t see Dunk and Duffy capable of holding a high line and ready to take waves of counter attacks. Hence my reason for thinking Ryan is going to concede much more goals.
Thoughts?

Hey! I’m not really happy with Ryan. It is the weakest spot on my team, so I’m hoping for a nice surprise!
I wasn’t happy with any GKs this season for different reasons, so I’ve gone with the cheapest option with favorable fixtures that allows maximum strength in the other positions.
I think you could be right!

Hi Bruno,
I see you have chosen pva as your final option in your backline. Is there any particular reason behind this? I am a personally a fan of this decision
Love the content
Thank you in advance

Hi. I’ve added my thoughts at the top after reading your comment… Here’s what I wrote on PVA:
One factor is to reduce the risk of rotation. He was also in my first draft, so it feels right. Zaha stayed at Crystal Palace which increases their attack potential, and PVA is the defender I trust most in the £5.5m price range:
Top points scorer last season
Second most clean sheets (12)
Second in bonus points (17)
Thanks for the question that helped me complete the blog post.
