🚨 CONFIRMED! Final GW1 team! 🚨
***UPDATE: I’ve selected van Aanholt in the final spot for Zinchenko. One factor is to reduce the risk of rotation. He was also in my first draft, so it feels right. Zaha stayed at Crystal Palace which increases their attack potential, and PVA is the defender I trust most in the £5.5m price range:
- Top points scorer last season
- Second most clean sheets (12)
- Second in bonus points (17)
PREVIOUS NOTES: Reading up on all the press conferences before posting the final team. Zinchenko will not make my final team. Zinchenko should be ok to start GW1, but I don’t know Guardiola’s plans for his fullbacks after signing Cancelo. I will most likely keep the same team structure with Perez.

Kane is a beast. One of the highest ceilings in the game. For my team at the start of this season, I couldn’t find a way to include him while keeping Salah+Sterling plus key core players like 2x Liverpool defenders, Digne, Siggy, Wilson. Since I didn’t select him, I might’ve gone through a stage of reassuring myself by looking at all the negatives for Kane like no Son, no Trippier… but Kane can score goals from nothing.
Teams with Kane can do just as well if not better than those without. It might end up that we all get similar total points with different combinations of players. Not right or wrong.

Is no one concerned about this Pepe guy on Arsenal. I know the old mind set is people like guys who have proven themselves in the prem before and I totally get that, but this guys numbers in France with barely any support were off the wall, with the strong support around him, David Luis pick up, gendouzi holding down the middle I think this guy gonna be a serious attacking midfielder for lacazette and bamayang. I feel like they don’t for a triple threat like mane, Salah, firmino- augers, sterling, sane- son, Kane, eriken/ndombele

Pepe looks incredible. If you’re feeling confident in the rest of your squad, absolutely trust your instinct and take a risk.
My strategy now is to consider ownership with strong FPL managers. In the case with Pepe, if he scores big, I won’t lose ground to my direct competitors because he is not going to be popular initially with those managers.
That’s one of the advantages of this strategy I’ve been talking about on the videos – building safeguards against strong managers. I can quickly sort through players, even those with a high scoring potential like Pepe, and focus on the ones that could do the most damage to my rank. It removes a lot of stress and saves time to come up with a final decision.

I didn’t see any changes other then a question mark where it’s previously was spot for zinchenko. Are you still with zinchenko or you changed him with other defender? If you did can you mention it for me please. Thanks

Hey Bruno. Just wondering your opinion on a thought of mine. So I’m new to fpl so I can’t say much but If Salah is my captain wouldn’t triple captain be quite effective as I think Liverpool is gonna do well against Norwich or is it btter to save into a double game week?
