🚨 FINAL CONFIRMED GW2 Team! 🚨
***UPDATE: Final team for GW2. No changes. Sticking with Salah captain, but it’s not ideal with 120 minutes midweek. Klopp said Salah and Mane were the least affected by the extra minutes, hopefully it means Salah will be ready physically. It helps that it’s only the second league game and not deep into the second half of the season when fatigue plays a bigger role. Good luck everyone!!! 👍💯 – Bruno

Hello. I just updated this blog post at the top, I’ve been trying to work it out myself. It might be like this:
1) Video has the initial team and transfer plan for the next round.
2) Blog post has latest team after the midweek games and press conferences.
3) Blog post has the final confirmed team before deadline.
Thanks, got me thinking about the best way to post any changes.

Just a quick one from me. It has been revealed that adrian is a doubt for Liverpool’s game against Southampton on Saturday having been injured by an encroaching supporter in the super cup. Will this at all affect whether or not you stick with your two Liverpool defenders or are you still confident enough that vvd and robbo will still be great point earners despite the second defensive setback between the sticks in a week 🤣

Hi. Saw that with Adrian, unbelievable! And it’s another Liverpool GK.
Yes, losing their main goalkeepers could impact their clean sheet potential, absolutely. But I still believe two Liverpool defenders is the best value way into Liverpool attack cover until we can shift to two premium Liverpool attackers like Salah and Mane.
I’m not seeing defenders with a higher potential for attacking returns and bonus points than Liverpool defenders. In the case with Robertson, if Mane is scoring, it’s likely that Robertson set him up. That provides some cover.
Conceding goals isn’t ideal of course, but another factor is that they played 120min midweek. That could affect them physically as a team and is more worrying to me than conceding goals.

Hi. Thanks! All great ideas. After all the factors, including the 120min which is a negative for Liverpool players, I’m currently on Salah.
Siggy blanked in the first game, I wanted to see a little more from him. Digne looked good, but it’s hard to trust him for different reasons. I can remember last season he scored 17pts one game, then followed it up with a -1pt!
Salah is in excellent physical condition. Is there a risk of him being benched? Yes. But it might be more alarming if it was later in the season when fatigue plays a bigger role. It’s only GW2.
Up to you because it’s not an easy decision. 👍

I always appreciate your posts and feeds, thank you. 92 points from gw 1, but couldn’t decide, replacement of siggy with martial, as he’s on fire. please do suggest. Or shall I wait for Gw 3 for 2 free transfers?? Trossard didn’t play in gw 1, will he play in gw 2?!

Martial and Man United played well GW1, but in my case I want to see consistency before investing on their players. It could turn out that Wan-Bissaka might be the way to go instead of United attackers.
A few reasons why I’m waiting:
1) Siggy has an excellent home fixture GW2 against Watford who lost 3-0 to Brighton
2) Wolves at Molineux aren’t the easiest for Man United, and Nuno rested his best players midweek
3) If United continue to play well, I want to be sure of which Man United player(s) I really want
As you said, 2FTs, could come in handy to bring the players I want without damaging transfer hits.
I haven’t’ seen an update on Trossard, will keep an eye on it. 👍

Bruno, I think you are fantastic. I have been watching so many podcasts and videos to give myself a crash course and I am an absolute fan. I got 87 points last game week and went with Pope over Ryan. I am now mostly worried about Perez. I watched the match and I just didn’t have any confidence in him. Let me be frank and tell you that I don’t really have a clue what I am doing. I feel very stressed about Perez and don’t know if I should be shipping him out. Will he be benched after that performance? Siggy, Perez are my concerns. I don’t know the players that well becoz I am a beginner. In fact I only started watching football during the last World Cup. I am sticking with salah as captain. I kept Zinchenko (hope not a bad idea)… my league is mostly saturated with Rashford.. should I be banking the transfer or getting rid of Perez considering that he is my differential. Hope it makes sense. Any advice will be great!

I don’t think Perez will be benched, well I hope not! You’re right to be on alert after his performance. The first two games were always going to be difficult for Leicester, let’s see if he can raise his performance and deliver returns GW2. Of course after the first two games, his fixtures ease up.
My plan is to watch the standout performers from GW2 to take in more information such as team and player form. We can start to see how managers are setting up their teams tactically. Even two games isn’t that much info…
Siggy should’ve scored a few goals, but he wasn’t at his best and the red card didn’t help. I’m more confident about him for GW2 than Perez, especially when factoring in the home fixture vs. Watford. Everton are on a run of 4 consecutive home wins, Watford have lost their last 4 league games.
Zinchenko should be ok for now, but eventually he could become a rotation risk with Cancelo, or Mendy, if Mendy ever returns to full fitness.
Wish Salah hadn’t played the full 120min midweek, but it helps that they won another title. You always feel less tired when you win.
The big question is Perez. I don’t have a concrete answer because I don’t know how Leicester will perform against Chelsea. They have a great opportunity if the Chelsea players are tired. I can imagine Tielemans, Pereira, Chilwell and Vardy running at the Chelsea defense with Perez being involved – similar to United GW1.
Rashford is a great option, my concern is United lost both of their games at Wolves last season. Wolves can be a tricky team for United, so my plan is to get more info by watching the games so I know exactly which player or players I want. But that doesn’t mean you have to wait!
Hopefully my thoughts will help. Ultimately the decision is yours to make. You are right about your assessment of the players, and I make mistakes like everyone else.

Yes, there is. I wouldn’t say Salah is safe from rotation. But there are also positives, so we have to weigh the pros and cons and make a calculated decision.
Klopp said, “I would say that the players who suffered least are Sadio and Mo! They are more used to playing in circumstances like that, physically they are really strong.”
The risk of rotation isn’t as high as it might’ve been had this occurred later in the season when fatigue is more of a factor.
Nightmare decision so early in the season! Who planned this Super Cup anyway!!! 🙂
