Gameweek 1 team revealed! This GW1 team is going to be a tough one to beat, but if I make any changes, you will know exactly where to see them.
FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM TIPS FOR 2019-20
FPL GW1 Team
🚨 CONFIRMED! Final GW1 team! 🚨
***UPDATE: I’ve selected van Aanholt in the final spot for Zinchenko. One factor is to reduce the risk of rotation. He was also in my first draft, so it feels right. Zaha stayed at Crystal Palace which increases their attack potential, and PVA is the defender I trust most in the £5.5m price range:
- Top points scorer last season
- Second most clean sheets (12)
- Second in bonus points (17)
PREVIOUS NOTES: Reading up on all the press conferences before posting the final team. Zinchenko will not make my final team. Zinchenko should be ok to start GW1, but I don’t know Guardiola’s plans for his fullbacks after signing Cancelo. I will most likely keep the same team structure with Perez.
I will reply to as many comments as I can and it will be quicker than usual. Thanks! – Bruno

Nice video and awesome team..
Can you comment anything regarding Richarlson and his status for gw 1 please.

Nothing concrete yet on Richarlison. It’s important for my team as well as Richarlison starting GW1 increases Siggy’s scoring potential.
Need to keep an eye on the latest.

Hi bruno
What are your thoughts on man city signing the juve full back cancelo. Will this effect whether or not you lock zinchenko into your final gw1 team due to the increased competition or are you confident that zinchenko will at least start the first few games?
Love the content
Thanks in advance

Yes, didn’t even know about it as I was recording the new video. As soon as I uploaded it, I saw the news. It’s a factor. Zinchenko should start the first few games, but I don’t know how fit Cancelo is and need more research. Big fan of his as a player.
Glad to hear you like it.

This is my first season playing fpl and wanted to know what do you think of my side and how I can improve it please.

Hi. Great to hear, thanks.
Seems close for GW1. There is a risk with relying on Rico as a starter, it’s one of the drawbacks of choosing the 3 premium attackers.
There is no easy way with Salah Sterling and Kane. Keep Lundstram in mind also for that cheap £4m spot. Also the news that Man City signed a new fullback who could share starts with Zinchenko. There are a few minor tweaks to consider at the back. I have to go back to the drawing board with the information and it might mean some experimenting with 3 weakest in your backline.
Either way, this team is one idea, or build one with more balance which may not allow for Kane up front. Wilson is the forward that always makes my top drafts because of his price/points potential.
Some ideas to consider, thanks for the comment.

Hi Bruno
I like the content this season you seem genuine in your feedback and that’s awesome.
what you think of what i hope is my final draft.
Ryan/Button
Digne/Trent/Zinchenko/rico/lundstarm
salah/sterling/moura/perez/fraser
wilson/jota/greenwood.
on greenwood do you think his price will drop quickly cause he owned by many players? and maybe fitting in van dyk or robbo instead of one of the defenders.
thanks
Priyen.

Hi. Yes, that’s great to hear thank you.
Team is ready. Small note on Zinchenko, I didn’t know Man City signed fullback Cancelo until after uploading the new video.
Greenwood was at risk before the Lukaku news. Now he will play a key role since Ole has no other choice than to give him minutes.
Jus the note on Zinchenko, everything else is already set.

Well, before you were saying to avoid new signings, then why Perez!!
Upper 90 Studios
08/08/19
That was a guideline. Mentioned the idea of Perez in the Second Draft video for the final two positions to experiment with, at that moment, it was PVA and Zaha, now turning into Zinchenko and Perez.
But it will probably change again after the news of Man City signing fullback Cancelo.
These two spots are the final tweaks, the team core is ready. It’s ok to experiment with different ideas.

@Anam imo Perez, 6.5million, played up front with Vardy and has scored goals in preseason, for his price you won’t find anyone better in terms of fpl so new signing or not he can do really well over the next 5 games and he already has premier league experience, but this is only my opinion as to why Bruno might have decided to pick Perez

@Abdul, yesI agree with your reasoning.

Yes, Parez is going to bang i think, with playing as second striker, he will be a bash. I was concerned about their fixture. But, with Wolves Europa game, and Chelsea losing Luiz , he can get some point.

Hi Bruno, again awesome video, thanks for sharing 😉
I love this squad a lot. One thing about I thinking is (but note sure):
Pick Fraser for GW1-2 and change him before GW3 with Siggy.
+ Bournemouth has both new team in GW1-2 (Sheffield, Aston Villa)
+ triangle Wilson-King-Fraser can make a lot of points from start
– three player from same team in attack part of core
– prices can change (saving 0,5M from this draft)
– if anybody get injured
when save transfer from GW1, I can transfer after GW2 two players:
a) Fraser Siggy
b) King Jota
Fraser+King – GW3 vs MCI
Siggy – GW3 vs AVL (stay in my team)
Jota – GW3 vs BUR (before GW4 King back)
Do you think that it is a risky bad plan?
thanks ;ú
PS: love this song 🙂

Hi. No problem. Yes, I listen to this song loud while driving sometimes. Haha. MP3 is ready to download on the Downloads tab, glad you like it. 👍
Good idea with Fraser at the start, I’m confident in going with 2x Bournemouth attackers at the start in part for the reason you mentioned. Triple was also an option, might have to revisit after the new to Zinchenko vs. new signing Cancelo…
This is a reasonable plan. I will consider it for my strategy as an option. I appreciate you sharing the advice.

Hey Bruno
Welcome back.awesome vidoes and content.
Cant wait to start fpl all over again.
Below is my team.
Pope woodman
Robbo vandijk digne bissaka lundstram
Salah sterling kdb perez dendonkar
King greenwood Jota/ wood.
How do rate the team?
Cannot make my mind on the second 6.5 striker. What do you think might be better one?
Upper 90 Studios

Hey. Thanks! Appreciate that. 👍
Excellent squad. It’s a difficult decision with the final striker spot. Wood also did well in pre-season. If it was for my personal team, I would go with Jota. He’s been great in pre-season. Of course there is the Europa League, so that adds some unknowns over rotation and focus in the league.
Not easy to improve it.

What do you think is the best goalkeeper strategy?
One fixed no matter the fixtures (going all in Ederson, Alisson or egen Ryan or Pope as many do) and buy a 4 Mill bench.
Or two medium to rotate (e.g. Fabianski and Pope complement each other well)
Upper 90 Studios

I’ve done both over the years. It can get frustrating with rotating GKs when we choose the wrong one, but that’s not a weakness.
Every season is different with player prices, so the GK strategy allows for different combinations of outfield players.
Rotation is a great strategy as well, so it depends on the overall structure of the team. For example, two decent rotating GKs with a second-choice midfielder? Or one GK with no rotation that allows for your first-choice midfielder?
One part of my answer is I haven’t researched GK rotation enough. I only have so much time to focus on the team, so I prioritize. Since I couldn’t find a GK I really trusted this season, or rotation that really stood out (yours is worth a look), I opted for the cheapest “best of the worst” in order to maximize the strength of my outfield starters.
But I don’t have a favorite strategy, it changes depending on which GK or GKs I’m drawn to, whether I’m sold on a rotation system and ok with the compromise to the outfield player. One main factor is usually how it impacts the rest of the squad strength.

Hi Bruno,
Thanks for putting out these videos. Super helpful. I’m moving from NYC to London and have joined the office FPL league. Unfortunately i don’t know as much about FPL as I do about NFL but my competitive side has me aching to come out swinging.
So I was hoping to could rate/review my squad help oteam One Proper Yank kick some slag wankers

Hi. No problem, glad you like them. It doesn’t seem like you need my help after all, your team is strong. 👍
The only alternative is a risk on Lundstram for Lascelles for your bench in order to maximize the strength of your starting XI. For example Murray to Jota or Deulofeu. But that’s optional since bench cover is a factor and Newcastle can put in strong defensive displays.
I would keep it as is with your selections. If Murray blanks, then consider a change.
Enjoy London, I was there a few years ago and had a great time.
