Hi Bruno,
thanks for sharing your knowledge.
What do you think about this?
Fabianski, Gunn
Robertson, TAA, Digne, Aanholt, Morgan
Mané, Fraser, Sigurdsson, Zaha, Pereyra
Wilson, King, Calvert-Lewin
Gunn for first game, because West Ham vs MCI 1st round.
Field value is maybe too much scattered (not sure with right english word) between core and bench. But can use bench players when core has tough opponents or switch 442 to 433.
Everton has easier schedule first rounds (then 15-18 killer rounds).
Thanks and GL 😉

Hi. You’re welcome. Can understand your GK rotation idea. Defenders are set.
Two notes:
1. Whether you want to go with Mane or Salah. Salah is back with the team now, Mane is still on extended rest after reaching the final of the AFCON. If Mane is fully-fit and ready for GW1, your plan should work well.
2. Possibly shifting out Morgan for a 4.0m defender, the bumping DCL up front to Deulofeu or Jota.
That’s it. Everyone else is strong and set with a good balance. 👍 Thanks for the comment.

Hi Bruno,
Interesting video again! TAA will turn into a beast this way and a nice glorious moment of Klopps answer on top :). Looks though that all our Fantasy-teams are drifting into the same bay – only some anchors may land slightly different (as it should be and cannot be avoided).
In your rapid presentation you cunningly keep us curious, so I watched it in some fragments – even. Took me a few replays to find out that apparently the ‘Official FPL website’ should have ‘an article’ on ‘expert player stats’. Alas, I cannot find something like that at all. Maybe it’s my uncunningness or my impatience, but the only place I can get aware of any ‘top1000-ownerships’ is ‘FantasyFootballFix’. . . ?!
In the meanwhile my draft just doesn’t want to change that more. Among the changes:
Following that FFF-lead (a.o.), I turned VVD into TAA already and had a go at Laporte (from Digne). This does set me free from the hovering threat of the ‘Return of the Great Mendy’ in four weeks time, but now confronts me with a unballanced 442: Boly as a 5,0 4th def could do, but . . .
In the frontlines I’d rather ‘test out’ Bernardo Silva than Siggy. In the Bournemouth/Watford-case I could go along the same lines, but for now still tempted to stick to the Fraser-Jota(/King) -Deulofeu(/King)-combination in stead of your Wilson-King-Peyreira’s.
As to defence, I might go to combine Digne and Zinchenko for a few weeks. My favorite, Doherty, still looks too injuired to play any part in ‘The Departure’. Where those slight shifts will go after those first GW’s, who knows, I anticipate: cut-prices in midfield (Zaha, Perez, Mason Mount? . . ), to beef up defence (Doherty AND Laporte/Mendy?) and/or up-front (Kane?!).
Not effectively administered on the FPL-site, but let’s say my team for now is as follows:
Ryan,
Digne, TAA, Robertson, Zinchenko
Salah, Fraser, BSilva, Sterling
Jota, Deulofeu
(Button, Greenwood, Dendoncker, Kelly)
I’m already curious how it will look in a weeks time 😀
Thanks for your inspiring inputs!
All the best,
Wouter

Hi Wouter,
Thanks! I do speak fast in these videos. One problem is I know the time when people stop watching the videos (on average), so I’m trying to squeeze as much info as I can.
Good example with the anchors. I found the experts’ articles when one of them was shared by @OfficialFPL on Twitter. Here’s the link to all the FPL experts’ articles: https://www.premierleague.com/news/1292389
Your plan with every player makes sense. I am a bit concerned with Wolves and their participation in the Europa League. We saw what it did to Burnley at the start of last season.
Your new team is excellent and I wouldn’t want to go against it GW1. Need to research everything about Zinchenko, and the Community Shield should give us more information. That and Wolves in the EL are my only two notes, nothing to worry about or change at this moment.
Top team with safety built-in and unique combination of players. 👍
Best,

Hi Bruno ! Another great blog love it! your second draft team looks stronger. pls share your thoughts on my latest draft
Gunn or Pope(depends whos first choice at BUR)/Button
TAA, VVD, Zin, Digne/Lundstram
Salah, Sterling, Fraser, Perez/Den
Wilson, Deul/Greenwood
ITB 0.5 may be used for early bandwagons such Wesley, Adams, Haller, Mount etc. Secondly, replaced Siggy and spread funds to have a more balanced team as i feel he will let us all down. tx!

Hey what’s up, thanks! Gunn is interesting. Wish Burnley had a better run GW2-GW4.
Backline is set. Mids are ready. Forwards are also strong.
The only small note is Perez and Leicester have a difficult start in the first two games, but they have an exciting attack this season and you can give them a chance in the beginning.
Smart idea keeping money ITB for that reason.
No weaknesses in your team, would keep this draft for a while to compare against future ones. 👍

Hi, loved your TAA idea. I was also considering him in place of Robertson. But, with freekick and corner, he will be much impactful. Also, i am not sure about Sterling. I am considering KDB here. The team looks like,
Ryan//Button
TAA-Robertson-Laporte-Digne//Kelly
Salah-KDB-Sidgurdsson-Fraser//Hayden
King-Jimenez //Greenwood
How do you think about it.

Hi. Glad to help. It is close between Sterling and KDB, the price difference is worth making a few drafts to compare.
Difficult to improve your squad. Smallest note on Wolves having Europa League this season. We saw how it affected Burnley at the start of last season, but it doesn’t necessarily mean the same result for Wolves.
No major concerns, it looks ready. 👍

Sorry to bother you again. But I think I am getting confused a lot. So far I have managed to to sort into this two team. One is as i said before,
Ryan//Button
TAA-Robertson-Laporte-Digne//Kelly
Salah-KDB-Sidgurdsson-Fraser//Hayden
King-Jimenez //Greenwood
another is quiet same with some changes
Ryan // Button
TAA – Robertson – Zinchenko – Digne // Kelly (Lundstram, i am not sure who to take)
Salah – Sterling – Sidgurdson – Fraser // (Hayden/ Dendoncker , again not sure who to take, most seems to take the later one)
King – Jota //Greenwood
Now in forword line, there is many promising attackers in 6-6.5 range. Deulofeu, Wood, Murray, Barnes, Deeney and Gray are the ones which performs quiet same I think. Can you help me here?

No worries. First, your teams aren’t confusing at all. You’re on the perfect track for GW1. I also have multiple drafts and struggle to pick winner. That’s good, it means they’re both strong.
I might end up with Lundstram, but need more research on all the pre-season games. I also prefer Dendoncker over Hayden.
At the back, Laporte has a knock and could miss the Community Shield so we need an update. There’s also a final decision to be made on Zinchenko. That needs more time to consider all the factors. I may end up going with van Aanholt at the same price just to be safe.
Jimenez has an injury to his foot, need an update. That final forward spot might be a close decision between Jota and Deulofeu. I’m a little concerned about Wolves being in the Europa League and how that will affect rotation and focus in the league.
From the forwards you listed, I would rate Deulofeu on a higher category of his own. Then Murray, Barnes and Deeney, with Wood and Gray close behind. You didn’t mention Jota on this list, but I would place him alongside Deulofeu at the top of the 6.5m price point. King is also there, but maybe not if you’re going with Fraser who is a quality pick. I wouldn’t be able to choose between Fraser and Wilson vs. Wilson and King. Too close, so it might be which fits your team structure best and provides the best balance.
The biggest final “decider” might be in the midfield, Sterling vs. KDB. My recent drafts have been using Sterling over KDB, so I am drawn to your second team.
Hopefully that answers some questions. The main point is not to stress over it as you’re already strong. 👍

Hello Bruno.
Just wanna say good work with the Youtube videos. Some of the best FPL content so far! Keep it up. Just wondering if you can help me out with my team. This is my first year that I’m planning on taking FPL seriously.
My current draft is –
Pope
TAA, Robertson, Wan Bissaka, Zinchenko
Salah (c), Martial, Sterling, Perez
Wilson, King
Subs – Button, Targett, Dendonker, Greenwood
Just wondering what you think about Martial? He’s been starting upfront during preseason. Only concern is him not getting many minutes in comparison to maybe Pulisic? or Ryan Fraser?
Also, I’m debating Sebastien Haller? Can see him racking up some points in GW 2,4 and 5.
Final question. May sound crazy but I’m debating Triple Captaining Salah for GW1. Norwich at Home is surely a game that he can take by the scruff of the neck. Reason behind me debating this is because the person in my league who finishes top GW1 wins back their stake.
Thanks for any help. Jacob

*In case you missed my reply on the other blog post, here it is:
Hi Jacob. Nice! Always good to hear that, thanks. 👍
1. To start the season, I’m reducing certain risks and going with players I can trust from last season. Martial, I need to see United back to their attacking best before investing on their players. Pulisic ticks all the boxes to be a success in FPL, but there might be an adjustment period. I can remember last season Felipe Anderson barely made it to 60min GW1, then he grew into a quality option in FPL.
From the three on your list, I prefer Fraser. But you already have Wilson+King. So one idea is to dig up another £0.5m for Siggy. The only place for a cut, which has its own risks, is Targett to the best £4m. Targett is a smart pick at £4.5m, so keep him in mind for other drafts. We will have more info on the best £4m defender after all the pre-season games.
2. Yes, great potential, but I’m avoiding most newcomers in the beginning. Same as Jota last season who was actually subbed at halftime GW2, then went on to become a solid player in FPL. Like you said, I’ll probably check out Haller a few games before deciding.
Keep an eye on Pope. Don’t think he was in the squad today, possibly the second time he’s missed out in pre-season. Burnley’s fixtures are also tricky GW2-GW4. I’m still researching the best GK and my drafts will probably need a £4.5m like Ryan.
Didn’t even think of the chips yet! I usually make my chips plan with info from @BenCrellin on Twitter, but it’s up to you!
Great team overall, just 1-2 notes. Thanks for the comment. 👍

I have made some changes in my recent squad:
Gk: ederson ( button)
Def: TAA, Van anhlt, digne, holebas (Kelly)
Mid: sterling, salah, Perez, Fraser (jorgino)
Frd: callum wilsn, jota (grenwd)
Any recommendations, please do suggest.

Liking this structure with the 4-4-2. 👍
Small note on Holebas who can be a magnet for bookings. But he also has attacking potential and would give you Watford cover, so it could work.
Perez has tricky starting fixtures but will have extra motivation to get on the scoresheet straight away.
Just two small notes, two players that can stay in your team without a problem, but you can also experiment with other alternatives in those two spots.

Would you rather have kane and fraser or sterling and wood
Upper 90 Studios

Sterling. I trust Man City’s attack to create chances for Raheem, over Spurs without Trippier and Son. Haven’t considered Burnley attackers as much in my drafts, but it doesn’t mean it can’t work. 👍

Hi Bruno?
Good information on your video about TAA.
Could you take a look on my squad?
Ederson
Alonso, Robertson, AWB, Coleman
Salah, Sterling, Barkley, Perez
Wilson, Jimenez
subs:Greenwood, Dendoncker, Johnson and any £4.0m goalkeeper
I had Kane and I think he’ll be a good hit this season but Sterling is on fire and Salah is Salah so I have Jimenez instead to afford Sterling.
I saw Alonso in pre-season and I think he’ll doing pretty well in attack for the GW2-GW4 if he starts he’ll score I’m confident on that.
AWB with Maguire and DGea( rise salary) clean sheets for sure.
If jimenez is injury I’m planning on “Murray” they are playing with Locadia and Trossard at front and 2 home games at GW2 AND GW3.
Please make a comment about my team and and any suggestion let me know.
Obrigado Bruno..

Hi. De nada. Things change quickly, like TAA. I was so confident, but that was a flat performance in the Community Shield and I didn’t like seeing him subbed off at 66min.
Alonso’s playing style is perfect for FPL. The problem is as you mentioned, will he start? Your team is so carefully set that it highlights Alonso as a big risk.
AWB and United need to get back to their best after last season.
Agree with you on Salah and Sterling. Both could’ve scored 2-3 goals in the Community Shield. Can’t have them all, so Kane feels like the one most sacrificed in my drafts.
The main note I have for your team is Alonso. I might reduce any risks and aim for a guaranteed starter, possibly van Dijk?
Team is looking excellent 👍

Hi Bruno,
I have changed Perez to Madison for GW 1 and onwards as team depth. can you comment anything regarding Madison please…! any other better options at same price range 7?!
Upper 90 Studios
05/08/19
Hi. Zaha is worth considering if he stays at Palace. Ideally, he would be offered a nice big contract so he would have extra motivation.
Pretty stumped on Perez vs. Maddison. I feel more excited about Perez, but Maddison could be the one benefiting from their new attack. Leicester attackers have two red fixtures according to our fixture cheatsheet, and I usually end up on Perez if one of them makes my drafts.
If Zaha stays and seems happy, he’s an option. Otherwise, I’ struggling to choose between Perez and Maddison.

Hi! Let’s check it out. 👍
They’re all good.
(a) Really liking this 3-5-2. Struggling to find a weakness.
(b) Unknowns with McGinn. Need an update on Jimenez.
(c) If you choose Maddison, you’re doubling up on Leicester and they have two tricky fixtures to start. Pulisic could be come a great player, but he might need some time to settle. I prefer to invest on players I already know can deliver in FPL for the start of the season.
(d) The only note is 2x Leicester, but I like Wilson.
Between (a) and (d). Stumped on the final choice because I prefer (a) overall, but I’m drawn to Wilson in (d) as one of the first names on my drafts.
Thanks for the great comment!
