Portugal’s 2012 European Championship Kits Leaked!

I have to say: I was a big fan of Portugal’s 2010 World Cup away kit.  Sure, the red and green vertical stripes against the white background almost looked like a Castrol advertisement of sorts, but it was a striking look, and I almost bought a copy myself.  Almost.

If the leaked Cristiano Ronaldo pictures are any indication of Portugal’s new away kit for this Summer’s Euro tournament, then I will definitely take the plunge.

The Federação Portuguesa de Futebol crest continues, unchanged.  The five quinas within the coat of arms gives the Portuguese National Team its nickname.  Notice the jersey’s texture, up close.

The most prominent feature of this jersey is no doubt the cross in Portugal’s traditional red and green.  For some reason, I could see an England version in white with red stripes…

Nike continues to sponsor the Portuguese National Team, and the font for numbers (and likely names on the back) remains unchanged from the current kit.

Do you think the new Portugal Euro 2012 kit will help Cristiano Ronaldo finally deliver for his country? Leave a comment below.
