***UPDATE: This is it. I’m experimenting with a new Wildcard strategy – to keep a sizeable amount of money in the bank. Normally, I would maximize the squad strength by using all the funds. If everything goes well, I can improve the squad depth or make small corrections. If it goes wrong, I can use the money to counter Wildcards GW4. I do not recomment this “all-star” bench for anyone. 🙂 It’s a massive risk GW3. If Digne is out, I could be down a player. Trying something new, good luck everyone!!!

*Provisional GW3 Wildcard team. Waiting on the last press conferences before confirming these players. Salah returns to the squad in place of KDB. Maguire and Martial also come in.
*The questions about the bench… sorry about that! 🙂 I don’t have one, I’m going with the cheapest bench players. This frees up the maximum ITB funds to match up against Wildcards GW4. Super risky, never really tried this before on an early Wildcard. Digne might not even play which could leave me a player short GW3.
*I am keeping an eye on price changes here: http://fplstatistics.com/ I may swap out some of the players in my team temporarily by staying up-to-date on the price changes. For example, I’ve brought in KDB for Salah, but I will likely have Salah in my team by deadline.
*Lucas Digne looks to be back in training.
*We also need an update on Lucas Digne who was forced off with a hamstring injury.

Hi. No special reason, I might still take Martial. I watched the United performance against Wolves closely.
Martial and Rashford had plenty of chances to score, but they didn’t come from an attacking strategy like we might see with Man City and Liverpool. This might be just how I’m interpreting it, and it could be part of their tactics and I’m overthinking it. 🙂

Don’t let anyone waiting to pounce on a mistake you make get you down. I am trying to do this myself. I know the guys in my work league will give me sht for using a wildcard this early, but I will have to let it flow off of me!

Hey. Thanks! Appreciate the nice words. 👍 If you activate the Wildcard, you will start with one free transfer next Gameweek. It’s basically a waste of 2FTs if you use the Wildcard. That’s what I did, but it wasn’t my original plan.

I already used my 2 FTs on what i think are shrewd choices, Robertson to AWB, to free up funds but will reconsider this once Alisson is back.
Fraser to Ndombele who showed great potential according to Poch. His fixtures look great as well and looks to be nailed on with either Sissoko or Winks.

Hi. You’re welcome 🇩🇪. Robertson to AWB is what I’ve done. Selling Fraser reduces the risk against Man City while avoiding the price drop.
Ndombele seems a quality signing for Spurs. I don’t have the best assessment of his FPL potential just yet, but that’s not a problem. I was more focused on Ceballos and McGinn this weekend. I will have a better opinion on Ndombele before the deadline, there are still some players I haven’t gotten to.
You won’t be at any risk of falling behind strong managers – they haven’t used their Wildcards. I’ve taken a gamble on Mane, that’s probably one player that I might worry about had I not used the WC. Maybe Pukki also, but his fixture isn’t easy. His price change would annoy me a bit. That’s the honest answer, 1-2 players would worry me, possibly Martial in that mix.
You have the safety of the #Elite64 on your side, so I wouldn’t worry. I should be more worried because if my new players blank and yours score, I will fall behind strong competitors.

Hi. It depends on your team. You could consider players such as Wan-Bissaka, Martial, Mane+KDB (not easy with their prices), Pukki.

Hi. Loving this. I’m currently working on a draft with your idea of the one forward, Pukki.
But I can see what you’ve built with Rashford up top. I’ve gone a bit stronger at the back keeping Digne (assuming he is fully-fit).
Great team, no concerns. Just different ideas to experiment with, then a final decision closer to deadline.

But it is very early. Anything can happen and I am taking a big risk this week.
Yes, unfortunately if we have 2FTs, activating the Wildcard resets it to 1FT next round. We can only have a maximum of 2FTs, so we can’t keep racking them up to have like 4 all at once.
