Gameweek 3 Team! 47 points GW2 (AVG:41PTS). What have I done? I used the early Wildcard after just two games! Was it a big mistake? See what I was thinking before I smashed that big red button for GW3.
FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM TIPS FOR 2019-20
FPL GW3 Team
π¨ Final GW3 Wildcard Team! π¨
***UPDATE: This is it. I’m experimenting with a new Wildcard strategy – to keep a sizeable amount of money in the bank. Normally, I would maximize the squad strength by using all the funds. If everything goes well, I can improve the squad depth or make small corrections. If it goes wrong, I can use the money to counter Wildcards GW4. I do not recomment this “all-star” bench for anyone. π It’s a massive risk GW3. If Digne is out, I could be down a player. Trying something new, good luck everyone!!!
I will get to the comments as soon as I can. Thanks!Β ππ― – Bruno
Previous updates:
*Provisional GW3 Wildcard team. Waiting on the last press conferences before confirming these players. Salah returns to the squad in place of KDB. Maguire and Martial also come in.
*The questions about the bench… sorry about that! π I don’t have one, I’m going with the cheapest bench players. This frees up the maximum ITB funds to match up against Wildcards GW4. Super risky, never really tried this before on an early Wildcard. Digne might not even play which could leave me a player short GW3.
*I am keeping an eye on price changes here: http://fplstatistics.com/ I may swap out some of the players in my team temporarily by staying up-to-date on the price changes. For example, I’ve brought in KDB for Salah, but I will likely have Salah in my team by deadline.
*Lucas Digne looks to be back in training.
*We also need an update on Lucas Digne who was forced off with a hamstring injury.

I also used my wildcard, I would highly appreciate if you rate my new team. Here it is:
GK: De Gea, Pope
DEF: Dunk, Zinchenko, Coleman, Lundstram, Pieters
MID: De Bruyne, Martial, Sterling, Mane, Douglas Luis
FWD: Firmino, Barnes, Wickham
Thank you for your time.

Hi. I don’t have a great assessment of Douglas Luis. It could work if you know this player well.
Very close between Barnes and Pukki. If forced to choose between the two, I might give Pukki a chance. Of course, prices are a factor.

Cant decide whether to wildcard.
Current team:
Ryan – (Button)
Robertson – TAA – Digne – Zinchenko – (Lundstram)
Salah – Sterling – Siggy – Mount – (Dendoncker)
Pukki – King – (Greenwood)
My WC idea (would have to do it tonight, before i go to bed in 30min π ) – 4 changes
Ryan – (Button)
VVD – TAA – Digne – AWB – (Lundstram)
Salah – Sterling – Bruyne – Mount – (Cantwell)
Pukki – King – (Greenwood)

Good point with VVD/Laporte.

Too tired to decide so WC played to avoid “can do” transfers π Team is as mentioned but changed in Martial instead of Salah temporarily in hope he will get me the 0.2 rise for more money π He is rising tonight and going fast π

Good idea with Salah.

You’re already so close. Whether it’s worth the Wildcard is the decision. I’m not sure if it’s needed, but it depends on hits and other factors.
Both teams will need an update on Digne’s hamstring injury. I believe he might’ve gone for a scan. The video footage did not look good, but then he was happy and lifted Bernard up in the air to celebrate at the end. Don’t know what to make of it.

hey Bruno, Whats your thought on martial. Literally played as a number 9. mid in fpl terms playing a fwd and heard elite 64 boys commenting that hes under priced by 1.5. isnt he a must?
Upper 90 Studios
20/08/19
It’s a tough decision. I watched the game yesterday and thought he could’ve scored a few goals. But then, out of nowhere United went quiet for these long spells without creating a single chance. It was strange.
It’s hard because in my case I might not have enough room to fit Martial in. Have to make a decision quickly.

Bruno,
Great video again. You have a real knack for this stuff! Great music, great video editing , great tips and you’re really personable!
I’m on the same page with Siggy, he has been really quiet. Fingers crossed for Digne, but pulling up after a run usually isn’t a good sign, maybe it’s just a slight strain.
Ceballos played a fantastic game, great potential. Will he be consistant? Like you said the roatation risk etc. But in terms of cheap players with potential he is definitly there.
I’ve been going back and forth with the De Bruyne , Salah debate but i think i’ve come to the conclusion that in the LONG run salah is going to have a high points ceiling, De Bruyne can smash 200 pts too if he stays fit, but I think the risk is lessened with sticking with Salah with me because he is reliable in the LONG run.
I’m taking Mane . He is on fire. I think his game has grown a lot. He looks more confident, he is adding assists to his game, he is in great shape and look lively. A definite for me. Even last season he was there or there abouts compared to Salah , he just played less games and didn’t end up far begind on points total, maybe 20 or 30.
Klopp has just said players need to be rotated and they can’t all play 50-60 games a season. Besides maybe the goalie and central defenders .
With Alisson out for a few weeks, liverpools team defending being a bit shaky at the moment like you said with all the shots conceded, I’m going to go with VVD for safety I think.
I’m curious to know what do you think about Wan Bissaka , Rashford and WIlson.
But i know to accomodate pukki and a strong midfield will make Rashford and WIlson difficut.
Thanks again, looking forward to your next video.
Dom(Ireland).

Hi Dom. Thanks! That makes my day. Glad you like the whole thing.
When I saw the video of Digne, my first thought was this is bad. He was in real pain, it did not look good at all. Then at the end, he lifted Bernard up in celebration! Maybe it could just be a small strain. I’ve had times when my hamstring would heel in less than a week, other times it took a month or longer to fully recover.
Can see your point with Ceballos. I would hate to use up a transfer soon after using the Wildcard. It’s ok to take a chance on a differential or two, but reducing all the risks is even better.
I agree on Salah vs. KDB. If forced to choose one, I would choose Salah.
Mane is incredible. Didn’t expect him to raise his game as much as he has since moving from Southampton.
Agree on VVD. Not taking any chances and it provides some cover against strong FPL managers.
Wan Bissaka impressed me yesterday. I wanted to choose him before the game. His 1pt score did not change my mind. United looked solid defensively, don’t think Wolves had a single shot attempt in the first half. I was surprised that he created a few chances for Lingard who wasted the opportunities. I also kept my eye on the live bonus points, and he was set to earn bonus until the yellow which was really harsh. I thought it hit his shoulder.
Rashford was great linking up with Martial. I’m having a hard time assessing United forwards. They could’ve easily scored more goals, but they went long spells without creating chances.
I didn’t like what I saw from Bournemouth in the first game. They had zero attacking threat which was shocking. Second game, it was hard to tell because they were winning 2-0 after ten minutes. The forwards didn’t have to work as hard to force another goal. Of course, Man City next is a factor.
I might prefer Pukki over Wilson based on form.

Hi Bruno, thx for sharing your draft wc team. i too activated wc for the reasons you mentioned in that video, still tinkering with my draft team. which option do you think is better:
a. son + rash
b. kane + trossard
thx
Upper 90 Studios
20/08/19
Hi. Such a difficult question. I might be more afraid of any combo with Kane because of his points ceiling. The problem is I don’t know as much about Trossard just yet. Brighton have a stronger attack now, which is a positive. GW4 is a difficult one vs. Man City.

thanks for great video π GL with Wildcard.
I had luck because I have Chambers in my team who didn’t play GW2 so Lundstram was activated from bench = 59 points GW2 (145 overall)
I didn’t use WC but 2 FT.
Barnes in – Wilson out
Martial in – Fraser out
Β£1.2 in bank (Β£98.9 value team)
I will play 4-5-1 on GW3
Ryan (Button)
Robertson-van Dijk-Digne-Lundstram
Salah-Sterling(C)-Siggurdson-Martial(V)-Dendocker
Barnes
bench: King-Greenwood-Chambers
I will propably save next transfer to get 2 free, need more research if:
1) Mane vs Salah (I had both last season from start) propably pick up Mane for 1.0 cheaper price or like you, pick up both
2) Pukki will play good against stronger teams – respectively Norwich will play good against strong teams, because he very profits from good team work and has great “killer instict” in penalty area. Norwich has CHE and MCI in next 3 GWs.
3) 2 LFC defenders will work great
4) more MUN players?
5) some ARS player for attack?
will see π it’s a game π

You’re welcome. Congrats on the surprise 14pts!
Keep an eye on Digne for an update on his hamstring issue. Hopefully, he is ok like Marco Silva suggested.
1) Know what you mean, I’m aiming for both but it’s not easy.
2) Good to hear your assessment of Pukki’s potential.
3) Yes, it could, especially if they can pitch in with attacking returns.
4) Maybe Wan-Bissaka is one to keep an eye on. Thought he played well and didn’t deserve the yellow card that dropped him out of the bonus points.
5) Maybe, but it’s hard to make a concrete suggestion with Liverpool up next.
Your English is perfect. π

Love the channel bro.
I’ve used the wild card… had almost the same team as you for gameweek 2. and my squad now looks like this…
Pope/(Adrian)
Wan-Bissaka/Digne/Zinchenko/Mina/(Lundstram)
Mount/Mane/De Bruyne/Sterling/Martial
Barnes/(King)/(Martinelli)
Thoughts?

Need an update on Digne. Everyone else is super close. Possibly consider Pukki as well, but it’s not so easy with price changes.
Digne could be the key to finalizing the squad, but it’s strong.

Thanks Bruno for all
Your help and tips . Really appreciate it , I have a dilemma Wc is active… is it salah/Kdb/ mane? Which 2 ?
Iβm settled on Martial and Cellabos as really good vfm .
Is Barnes a really a long term option ?
Thanks
Big respect to you !!

Glad to help. If forced to pick from the 3? It’s a nightmare decision, I’m afraid you’ve stumped me on this one. I can’t choose, I like all three and would rate them as having similar points-scoring potential. My initial team had Salah and Mane without KDB because I already Sterling, but it’s so difficult.
Barnes may not make my final squad. I’ve brought in a few players temporarily.
Thanks for the comment.

Hi Bruno,
An awesome video (as always) I also like your music! π
I’ve watched the new video and I was surprised not seeing Martial or Rashford in your Wildcard team π€
Are you thinking about them bringing one of them into your team?
I’d also like to know what you think about Ndombele? In my view, he makes intelligent passes forward and can become a potential assistant.
Upper 90 Studios
21/08/19
Hi. Thank you! Glad to hear that. π
Wish I could, but I’m aiming at a formation that might not allow for a United player. Their prices are a bit different from other players. the other problem is their game against Wolves was hard to assess. They had many chances to score, but the chances came out of nowhere. I’m a little afraid that it might not be consistent enough in the long run when compared to other teams like Liverpool and Man City.
I don’t have the best assessment of Ndombele just yet. I want to check out his heat maps and search Tottenham forums to see if his position is closer to the attacking areas and not too defensive. But he is a quality signing for Spurs.

Hi Bruno.
After reading your reply to my lineup, I did some research and concluded that I don’t need expensive keeper like De Gea. So I transferred him for Adrian, solving my no Liverpool defender problem. With rest of cash, I transferred Pukki in for Barnes, and McGinn in for Douglas Costa. Now my lineup looks like this:
GK: Adrian, Button
DEF: Zinchenko, Wan-Bissaka, Dunk, Lundstram, Pieters
MID: McGinn, De Bruyne, Martial, Mane, Sterling
FWD: Firmino, Pukki, Wickham
I think this way I have an excellent midfield, and with double man city and liverpool attackers, I also have longevity. Thank you for your opinion and good luck π

Hi. Can understand your moves. It’s strong. Can see the possible weakness being the defense, but it’s hard to invest at the back after the performances from premium defenders this season.
Good luck! π
