Previous Updates
*I initially had Kelly as a starter, but Lampard said Rudiger and Kante are still out injured, so I’ve brought in Lundstram for his attacking potential. Nearly set with the final team. Final decision is the replacement for Martial. Currently between Maddison and McGinn, but I want to use all the time before deciding.
*Waiting for official news on Martial before proceeding. It appears that Mason Mount is in training without complications. Chelsea released this video today with Mount in the background:

Hey Bruno
Which combo do you prefer?
AWB/PVA or Laporte/Kelly?
My other defenders are VVD, Digne & Lundstram.

Hey. At this moment, AWB/PVA. But things change quickly.

Hey Bruno..would Cantwell be a good replacement for ceballos for a differential? I have 1mil ITB and tend to use it to bring in salah for mane as yes I’m keeping my ego aside for transferring salah out last week and backfired big time….or shall I take the -4 hit on martial for mount knowing yes yet waiting for the conference if he’s fit this weekend.

Hey. It’s all learning, even when we make mistakes. I would rate Salah and Mane as having similar points potential GW4. No clear advantage.
Cantwell is a good option GW4, the fixture is a positive. Another big plus is Cantwell’s price could allow more flexibility with future transfers.
The concerns are Norwich didn’t create as many chances to score against Chelsea as I wanted to see, and GW5 becomes trickier when Norwich play Man City, especially for those who already have Pukki.
For my team, I prefer Mount over Cantwell and Ceballos. Cantwell felt best as a rotation option instead of a dependable starter. But we all have different team structures. Cantwell is a good choice GW4, so it’s about doing what’s best for your team.

Hey Bruno, if youre taking a hit then isnt martial to mount and a 4.5 striker to haller a good option. with ez westham fixtures coming up, haller is still 7.4 and will rise aswell

Hey. I like Martial to Mount. As far as Haller, it’s less about Haller and more whether I can trust West Ham. I would prefer to see more proof that they are firing consitently and scoring goals before making that jump.
But, it can work and Haller seems a good player.

Hi. My plan is to clear my head before making a final decision between two replacements: Maddison and McGinn.
Here’s a copy/paste reply from a previous comment with the assessment of the players:
I’m currently between Maddison and McGinn. My instinct wants to take a gamble on Maddison, his form is excellent and Bournemouth at home is enticing. The concern is his fixtures after this week are just ok, not the best. Although Leicester can sometimes raise their game against the better sides.
The safer option could be McGinn, he has some ownership with strong FPL managers. The unknown is it’s hard to predict which Crystal Palace side will turn up.

Ola Bruno
hope you well
need your opinion on my transfer thinking for gameweek 4, with martial being injured moura being uncertain and king dropping in value im looking at taking a -4hit this week.i don’t like hits haha, but value needs to be caught. my ideal transfers will be kdb and mount in for moura and martial , sadly i’m 0.1m short of that that explains in a nutshell the benefit of playing the wildcard early , i have held onto mine.
with 0.7m in the bank and i do not want to lose any more points and value on kdb my best option seems to be martial and moura out for kdb and mcginn.
or am i too paranoid on kdb, and should get mount in for martial ? no hit.
or any other transfer you have in mind.
my team and thank you in advance .
Ryan/Button
Trent/Virgil/Digne/Zinchenko/Lundstrum
Sterling/Salah/Martial/Moura/Dendonker
King/Pukki/Greenwood.

Ola. Know what you mean with hits, but sometimes they’re necessary to cope with injuries to key players while checking off other niggling factors like price changes.
You have all the right players in mind for the transfer plan.
I analyzed my list of strong managers this morning. 13 out of 18 have Martial.
KDB is owned by 10 out of 18. 7 out of 13 Martial owners cannot move for KDB without taking a hit. Best guess is the majority of the 7 will make the straightforward swap Martial to Mount (or keep Martial). No hit. But that’s only a guess.
Before Martial’s injury, 3 out of 18 had Mount. I would guess that at least 10 out of 18 strong managers will own Mount GW4. It could be higher because those with KDB and Martial will likely go Martial to Mount.
So as far as a threat to the rank with strong FPL managers, KDB and Mount should have similar threat GW4.
Both options are strong. Martial and Moura out for KDB and McGinn -4 hit. Martial to Mount no hit should be the most popular transfer this round in general.
Nightmare decision! I don’t have an easy solution, only these numbers and I hope it helps you.

If Martial is injured is it likely we’ll see Greenwood start at Southampton? Just deciding whether to move him off the bench- maybe at the expense of Kelly. My team:
Heaton (Ryan)
Kelly, VVD, Maguire, Pereira (Lundstrom)
Sterling (C), KDB, Mane, Cantwell (Dendoncker)
Pukki, Aubameyang (Greenwood)
Welcome your thoughts – great videos. Thanks, Davina

Kia ora Davina.
Don’t know what Ole will do. He suggested Greenwood is backup to the main striker. Does he trust Greenwood as a starter up top or will he use Rashford? Impossible to predict.
Greenwood looked a bit lost when he came on as a sub last game, but Ole likes him.
So close between the two! Kelly and Greenwood are sort of a gamble that could work this week.
I initially started with Kelly as a starter in my team. Then today, Lampard said Rudiger and Kante will miss GW4 through injury. So I’m currently leaning toward Lundstram for an attacking return against a young and exciting Chelsea side that like to play an open game.
Those are some thoughts on the players and the decision for my own team. But it’s up to you because they’re all so close.
Thanks.

Hi Bruno,
It’s now been confirmed that Martial won’t be playing this weekend.
Below is my team:
Ryan
VVD, AWB, Digne, Kelly
Cantwell, Salah, Stirling, KDB
Pukki, Barnes
Bench: Button, Martial, Lundstram, Wickham
I already used my free transfer to sell Ceballos for Cantwell. Just wanted to get your thoughts on my team….would you take a -4 hit to get Mount in for martial and play 3,5,2? Or would you suggest any other transfers/formation?
Also what are your thoughts on captaining KDB?!
Thanks again for the content buddy!

Hi. My style can be more aggressive, so I can only say what I’ve done for my personal team. I sold Ceballos for Mount early in the week, and now I’m close to a final replacement on Martial for a -4 hit.
Initially I had Kelly as a starter, but I’ve actually swapped him out for Lundstram afer hearing Lampard say Rudiger and Kante are out injured.
So now look what I did, instead of answering your question, I gave you a third option!!!
It’s possible that Mount could have high ownership stats with strong FPL managers GW4. 13 out of 18 of the managers I analyze have Martial. 3 out of 18 had Mount already. I can imagine many of those 13 managers making the simple switch Martial to Mount – that’s only a guess.
Leaning toward going for it, but that’s my style. Ultimately, it’s your decision and what you’re comfortable with.

Hi Bruno,
I love the content and I know everyone appreciates how hard you work to get videos out as well as answer everyone’s comments.
I am happy with my team this week other than martial. I have greenwood i could start instead of him but i’m not sure how many minutes he will get.
I could downgrade martial for mount which would free up funds for me to upgrade players next GW. Although it seems martial should be fit next GW.
Martial seems to be a great asset playing up top in a relatively attacking Man U side for only £7.7mil.
However, he is likely to have a price drop before next GW and Mount a price rise tonight. For this reason i am tempted to do this transfer tonight, what do you think about my reasoning for this? Or is it best to wait and have 2 free transfers for the international break?

Hi. Happy to hear that, thanks. 👍
Don’t know what Ole will do. He suggested Greenwood is backup to the striker, so it depends on whether Rashford starts up front? When Greenwood came on as a sub against Crystal Palace, he looked a step or two behind the level needed at the top level. Hard to tell if that will influence Ole’s decision, but the positive is Ole seems to love him.
Leaning toward going for it with Mount for the reasons you mentioned. I bought Mount Saturday night! 😳
There is no set rule for banking transfers. Things can change quickly. It’s possible Mount could be one of the most-owned players with strong FPL managers this week. So in a way, not owning him is the risk.
