🚨 Confirmed GW4 Team! 🚨
TRANSFERS OUT: Ceballos, Martial
TRANSFERS IN: Mount, Maddison
***UPDATE: Final transfer confirmed! Martial out for Maddison (-4 hit). Flexibility to bring in a premium defender, or a power move for KDB/Aguero. Thanks and good luck everyone! 👍💯 – Bruno
Previous Updates
*I initially had Kelly as a starter, but Lampard said Rudiger and Kante are still out injured, so I’ve brought in Lundstram for his attacking potential. Nearly set with the final team. Final decision is the replacement for Martial. Currently between Maddison and McGinn, but I want to use all the time before deciding.
*Waiting for official news on Martial before proceeding. It appears that Mason Mount is in training without complications. Chelsea released this video today with Mount in the background:

McGinn or Ceballos in a wildcard squad? That is My last player to decide in My wildcard.

Hi. Leaning toward McGinn to be sure there are no rotation concerns.

Hey Bruno,
Been following your weekly vids, keep it up, has helped me with my team to start the season. I’m considering breaking out the WC for GW4.. Although looking at the matchups I could perhaps save a ft for 2 in GW5 with my current team staying as is… Or make the most of the early wildcard to strengthen team overall. Any advice on the teams? Should I show more patience on the WC?
My current team is:
Ryan (button)
Zinchenko, AWB, VVD, Digne (Kelly)
Salah, Sigurdsson, Sterling, Perez (Dendoncker)
King, Pukki (Greendwood)
with 2.5 itb
My Wildcard would potentially look like this..
Adrian (Ryan)
TAA, Zinchenko, Kelly, Digne (Lundstram)
KDB, Salah, Sterling, Mount (Cantwell)
Pukki, Haller (Greenwood)
with 0 left itb.

Hey. I would pick out Sigurdsson, Perez and King are the standouts. Gylfi played better midweek, but I’m not sure if he’s completely safe from being dropped with another poor performance or two. Marco Silva has options now.
Perez has been poor. King’s best asset is penalties, not much else currently.
Not easy with the Wildcard because your team core is already strong with that defense, Salah, Sterling, Pukki.
I don’t know whether you should go for the Wildcard, but I might look at Mason Mount in the midfield.
The smallest note on TAA. He is probably the best attacking defender in the game, but I saw an article that said Klopp was thinking of rotating players this weekend. No idea what that means.
There could also be some strong managers on transfer hits this week if they didn’t do well last week. So a small hit wouldn’t be out of the cards to get back on track while saving the Wildcard.
Those are some thoughts, but the WC is up to you if you feel you can’t get to a strong team easily.

Hi Bruno, hope all is well on your side. I used my WC last GW and made a bit of a mess by taking Salah out and upgrading other players. Ultimate goal is to get Salah back with Mane and Sterling but that will need to wait as I don’t really want to take hits. My current team is:
Ryan
AWB, Digne, VVD
Sterling, Mane, McGinn, Ceballos
Rashford, Pukki, Barnes
Bench: Button, Lundstram, Dunk, Martial
I have 1 FT and benched Martial although was leaning towards replacing him with Mount or Maddison. Could you give me your thoughts. Is it better to carry forward the FT so that I have 2 in hand for after the break or should I be replacing Martial with it or with someone else that has more potential than the current squad? Thanks so much for your help, which is very, very much appreciated. Also thanks for your patience answering all these comments. Hopefully I will get the hang of FPL soon 🙂

Hi. Doing well thanks. Yes, I can understand your reasoning with Salah vs. Mane for GW4. If Mane can’t keep up with Salah, then it becomes clearer.
It could work as is. Many strong FPL managers will have either Ryan or Pope with a difficult opponent GW4. Defense is set. 👍
2FTs the following week is the ideal situation, but an injury to a key player is a strong reason to act with a transfer, especially if you have a replacement in mind with good scoring potential.
After Friday’s press conferences, we should have more concrete information on who’s available. I believe you already know this website, but just in case, you can track price changes here: http://fplstatistics.com/
Mason Mount looked dangerous last game, occupies positions high up the pitch and he’s not afraid to shoot. Maddison also in the mix as you mentioned, maybe Chelsea just edge Leicester in attacking potential and fixtures, but it’s close.
Keep an eye on Rashford in case United struggle to score while Martial is out. Curious how long he’ll be out for.
It’s reasonable to follow your instinct and make a transfer this week. Start moving toward the team you want by spreading out transfers over time.
Thanks for the comment. 👍

Hey Bruno. With martial out and cebballos might not start. Will you take a hit then.?

It depends on the info from Friday’s press conferences, but it’s likely.

With Martial being out injured, are you going to take the -4 hit and replace him?

Waiting until Friday’s press conferences before making a decision. But it could likely be a hit yes.

Hi Bruno,
I got heaton for ederson to free up some funds, but i am not sure whether heaton is good option or not. Can you suggest me someone else for long run. I already have Ryan.
ITB is 0.1 only.
Thanks

Hi. Heaton is a good option for now. Hard to give a confident assessment on goalkeepers with so many failing to keep clean sheets.

Hi Bruno,
How would you rate my team and areas to improve?
Giving Siggy & Ceballos one more chance before I transfer them for Debryune & Mount.
Ryan/Button
Digne/Van Dijk/W-Biss/Kelly/Lundstram
Siggy/Salah/Sterling/Ceballos/Dendkr
Kane/Pukki/Greenwd

Hi. Seems in good condition for this week. As you mentioned, Siggy and Ceballos to keep an eye on. If they start, they can do well.
Also some pressure on Kane after last week’s blank.

Hi Bruno,
Hope everything is well at ur end. Was thinking hard on Martial replacement if his injury is long.
Im stuck between Mcginn, David Silva and Maddison. Thoughts?

Hi Midzi. Love that name. 👍 You read my mind with Martial.
David Silva might not be 100% nailed-on, especially when Champions League comes around. So I would avoid him for my own team.
I’m currently between Maddison and McGinn. My instinct wants to take a gamble on Maddison, his form is excellent and Bournemouth at home is enticing. The concern is his fixtures after this week are just ok, not the best. Although Leicester can sometimes raise their game against the better sides.
The safer option could be McGinn, he has some ownership with strong FPL managers. The unknown is it’s hard to predict which Crystal Palace side will turn up.
This is where I currently stand, but no final decision just yet. I might take until late at night or first thing in the morning before confirming the transfer. It’s not clear to me yet.

Hi Bruno, I’d like some feedback on my team from you (or anyone else)
Ryan (Button)
TAA – Digne – Maguire (Lundstram, Gibson)
Salah – McGinn – Moura – Sterling (Dendoncker)
King – Rashford – Pukki
I’ve got Sterling captain for the week set, and I’ve used two transfers (-4) to bring in Maguire and Pukki for Jota and Van Dijk. Going forward I’m probably going to need to replace Moura and sort out my forwards as I would like to bring in De Bruyne to my squad.
Thanks in advance

Hi. The feedback I would give is the points you highlighted – Moura, King, possibly Rashford.
Rashford. I don’t know how Martial’s absence will affect United’s attacking potential. It’s possible Rashford will play as the striker, so it could still work.
A few things to keep an eye on this week and your plan makes sense. 👍
