🚨 Confirmed GW4 Team! 🚨
TRANSFERS OUT: Ceballos, Martial
TRANSFERS IN: Mount, Maddison
***UPDATE: Final transfer confirmed! Martial out for Maddison (-4 hit). Flexibility to bring in a premium defender, or a power move for KDB/Aguero. Thanks and good luck everyone! 👍💯 – Bruno
Previous Updates
*I initially had Kelly as a starter, but Lampard said Rudiger and Kante are still out injured, so I’ve brought in Lundstram for his attacking potential. Nearly set with the final team. Final decision is the replacement for Martial. Currently between Maddison and McGinn, but I want to use all the time before deciding.
*Waiting for official news on Martial before proceeding. It appears that Mason Mount is in training without complications. Chelsea released this video today with Mount in the background:

Hey Bruno…Who wud u pick ahead of GW4
Kelly(H) or Lundstrom (A)?

Hi. Super close between the two. I had Kelly as a starter initially, but Lampard said Rudiger and Kante are still out injured. I’m expecting more of the same wide open game for Chelsea’s young players.
Currently on Lundstram for an attacking return.

do you have a recommendation in terms of when to use the wildcard if we haven’t used them yet?
Upper 90 Studios
30/08/19
No real recommendation. I use the first Wildcard on instinct, so anytime I feel I can make a significant improvement to my squad. I like to time it when the transfer market is active, which can sometimes happen early in the season as new players raise their game while others disappoint.
I’m more conservative with the second Wildcard, using it during the period with Double Gameweeks and Blank Gameweeks starting around GW32.
For example, I can use the Wildcard to load up on players that have a great Gameweek prior to a Double Gameweek when players can potentially play twice.

Hi Bruno
I hope you are well. Another awesome video and great tips.
My team is currently:
Ryan; (Button)
AWB, Maguire, Zinchenco, Digne, (Lundstrom)
Salah, Sterling, Mane,Cantwell,(Martial)
Pukki,(Wickham),(Martinelli)
Which one of the following transfer options would you recommend and would maximise the highest points potential:
1) Mane and Matinelli> De Bruyne and Haller(-8)
2) Mane and Martinelli > Noble and Aguero(-8)
3) Martial>Mount(-4)
4) Martial and AWB> De Bruyne and Kelly(-8)
I would appreciate your feedback and valued insights on the above or any other suggested players or comments before making the relevant transfers.
Cheers.

Hi. Good to hear, thanks.
All great options. Between Options 1 and 3. Hard to suggest selling Mane, leaning toward Option 3. I bought Mount on Saturday night while he could barely walk with the injury. So that’s my assessment of him. 🙂
Mount could also be one of the highest-owned players with strong managers GW4.
13 out of 18 of the managers I analyze have Martial. 6 of those 13 Martial owners have KDB. For them, the simple transfer is Martial to Mount without a hit. 7 of the 13 who do not have KDB cannot move for KDB without taking a hit. It’s possible many of them could shift Martial to Mount. That could put Mount’s ownership at 10+ out of 18 of the managers I analyze.
But that’s only a guess. I don’t know what they will do, I can only tell you what I did.
Kelly might not start for much longer, key defenders like Sakho are nearing a return for Palace. Haller looks a great player, I like his style for the Premier League. The only note is whether West Ham can deliver to their potential consistently. Didn’t like seeing Antonio suffer a bad injury midweek, but it helps that Lanzini is near his best form, and they have other threats like Felipe Anderson.
Between 1 and 3.

Hi Bruno. Thanks so much for the feedback. I read between the lines and made some very necessary changes. Thank you! Regardless of outcome, I am finally at ease with my team. You said “Start moving toward the team you want by spreading out transfers over time”. Precious advice. Wishing u the best and hope you have an amazing GW4. Bon Courage!!!

Hi Bruno, thank you for the consistent reply and advice. I would like your thoughts on Haller or Pukki as a differential for captaincy because i really need something special to catch up with my mini league since i am at the bottom. My current team is:
Patricio
Digne, Laporte, Lundstram, AWB
Sterling, KBD, Salah, Cantwell
Haller, Pukki
subs: Pope, Dunk, Ceballos, Wickham
Should i just revert back to the Salah-Sterling-KBD option to play safe if its not worth it this early or try something new with the differentials, Haller has only played one game so im depending on the leaky Norwich defense but Pukki is on really good form, so i can’t decide.
Hope you have great GW4.
Thanks.

Hi. If forced to choose one, leaning toward Pukki.
I have most of the same players, so I can only say my strategy this week. I will stick to one of the premium players. Currently on Sterling captain with Salah right behind.
Up to you! 👍

Hi Bruno,
Despite a good start of the season I too eventualy saw it necessairy to decide on an early WC, be it GW4 instead GW3. Made 2 very early transfers to avoid pricedrops of Siggy and KIng (-4), but the repair didn’t look too sufficient and further hits deemed not acceptable.
After a few conceptional turns I consistently seem to get back at the following:
Siggy > Ceballos > James
King > Rashford > Barnes
Ryan >Pope
VVD > Kelly
AWB > Pieters
Dendonker > Mount
Greenwood > Pukki
Jota > Haller
Leaving me with this team for GW4
Pope
Kelly, Digne, Zinchenko
Salah, James, Mount, KDB, Sterling
Pukki, Haller
(Button, Lundstram, Barnes, Pieters)
TV 100,7 ITB 0,0 OR 350k
Some considerations:
– Expensive defenders don’t live up to their price, indeed,
– After Liverpool, Burnley has a profitable run of fixtures,
– So has West-Ham (Haller),
– Chelsea is on the rise, but not yet to double-up (no Tammy)
– Pukki inevitable,
– Could go back to Ceballos, from James,
– Team from ‘bare-bench’ to ‘rotational’ (needs to last a bit now).
Still some hours to go, but I expect no significant changes.
Unless your valued comments drop a bombshell :).
All the best and enjoy!

Hi Wouter. Liking the team. No major concerns, only small notes as if it was my own team.
I had Pieters on the Watchlist, but after more research I saw that he may not actually be 100% nailed-on in the long run. Look into Lowton vs. Pieters.
Zinchenko is a great option GW4, but Cancelo and Mendy are nearing full fitness. Pep could rotate in the fullback spots, especially during Champions League starting in September. With a free transfer, this could be solved in the future (if needed!).
James looks a neat player, one Ole might not be able to live without. He was United’s standout player vs. Palace, no one could get near him. Curious to see how United will bounce back without Martial. We could see a positive reaction. McGinn is an alternative to Ceballos, but it’s still early to tell which will deliver consistently.
Minor notes, nothing required to change. Wish you the best with your team!

Thanks Bruno,
To solve the nearing Zinchenko-rotation I assume solutions could be found in the likes of PVA or Emerson, or maybe back to AWB, in the same pricerange.
I’ll look into the Pieters to Lowton option you mentioned.
Good luck.

Hi Bruno!
My wildcard squad is set and ready!
What do you think?
Pope (Button)
Digne Laporte VVD (Lundstram Kelly)
Sterling Salah KDB Mount McGinn
Haller Barnes (Surridge)
Rate it and I want to know if it is a strong squad? 1-10 what do u think? Any charges you think I should do? Im thinking of Pukki but I like Haller with the fixtures and Pukki have City in the next? Anyone else you think I should get in My squad?

Hi Bruno,
I am using my wildcard this weekend (basically because I forgot there was an EPL game last Friday and missed the deadline, but the team scored 65 pts so better lucky than good). Would appreciate your thoughts on the following team:
Formation 4 – 5 – 1
Pope (button)
Digne, TAA, Wan-Bissaka, Lundstorm, Kelley (start Kelly (home) over Lundstram)
Salah, Mane, Sterling, Mount, McGinn
Pukki (Greenwood, Wickham)
Wondering what you think of the above.
Also, my original team had Mcguire and van Aanholt. But to make room for TAA, out went Mcquire and Van and in came Kelly. Was wondering if Mcguire/Van pair is better than TAA/Kelly pair.
Thank you.

Hi. Congrats on the nice score last week! Haha. 🙂
Love it. I just updated my final team for GW4 at the top of the post, and mentioned a potential future move for a premium defender if needed. That’s basically your team idea.
It also allows a move for KDB, even Aguero without too much work (Mane out). Many strong FPL managers in the #Elite64 league have KDB already, so that’s something to consider if you feel he could do better than Mane. I think they get their points in different ways – Mane has a higher points ceiling, getting his points in bunches. KDB is nice and neat with consistent assists.
I don’t know which defender combo is better at the moment. United have good clean sheet potential, but they have to cut out the silly individual errors. TAA has a higher scoring potential with his crosses and set pieces, maybe the slightest risk of rotation during Champions League.

playing WC this GW, first I chose these players, but now I decided change it:
first WC option:
Patricio (Button)
Robertson-Digne-Zinchenko (Kelly M., Lundstram)
Salah-Sterling-Mane-McGinn-Cantwell
Pukki-Barnes (Greenwood)
probably final WC option:
Heaton (Button)
Robertson-Digne-Zinchenko (Kelly M., Lundstram)
Salah-Sterling-Mane-Mount-Cantwell
Pukki-Barnes (Greenwood)
McGinn looks like great “moneyball” option but Mount is hot pick now and cover common line-ups. This move need save 0,5£ on GK place.
Barnes is against LFC but we saw that LFC defensive 🙂
Little risk, but looking forward to next weeks BUR schedule.
Not sure which one will be Captain.
Sterling and Salah are most popular but Pukki looks like good choice too.
I decided play only 3 defenders, for me is bigger value invest more on offensive lines.
GL all 😉

Yes, loving this team. Defense makes sense, mids are well set. Good point with Barnes.
Sterling is the safe captain choice. Salah also in the mix. Pukki is a gamble that could work.
Great work, wish you big green arrows! 🙂
