Hi bruno… Pretty tough gameweek for me… Two red arrows in a row..
I rush too much by bringing in players and too patient on players who are not performing..
My initial team was this:
Pope
Soyuncu TAA. Lunstram
Maddison Mane Alli De bruyne
Calvert lewin vardy. Jimenez
Bench: Button cantwell rico kelly
Thoughts on my transfers in:
Calvert lewin to ings.
Cant resist my eye on ings.. Since i dont think he will score in every gameweek which punishes non owner like me..
Alli to traore..
This transfer im considering to be optional for the double gameweek..
Thoughts on my current team and transfers?

Hi. Same here, can understand.
I like the idea with Ings who is in the form of his life.
Traore I might wait on as Wolves need to raise their level back to where it was before the festive fixtures.

Hi Bruno , didn’t watch the vídeo yet, I had 61pts and green arrows and climbed to 900k . (Benching Soyoncu was on top, without Wilfred , goodbye cleansheets)
I think I Will play Cantwell and bench Martial , what do you think ?

Hi. Good point on Ndidi. The next two games give a good opportunity to bounce back, but Leicester’s defensive potential could be affected.
I don’t know which I would choose between the two, sorry. I know Martial has scored against Liverpool in the past. The key could be whether Rashford plays or not. Trust your instinct as this fixture is red for United attackers.

Hi bruno,
what do you think for liverpul triple…. i have Salah and TAA and dilema is to buy Robertson or VVD or maybe allison ( im afraid of rotation only VVD and Alisson are 100% sure).
And i want to sell Zaha…but for who… Sarr, Maddison, Trosard , Lucas Moura.
My team:
Ryan, Ramsdale
TAA, Rico, Kelly, Lundstram, Soyuncu,
Salah,De Bryene,Grealish,Zaha,Cantwell,
Calwert Lewin, Vardy, Ings
and who to captain 😀
Greetings

Hi. Good point with rotation, I might still aim at Robertson with VVD right behind.
Zaha is the tough question because Maddison and Leicester have looked tired in recent games. They now have a full week of rest, so no excuses. I might rate them with Maddison just ahead of them all, then Sarr side by side with Doucoure (value), then Moura (100% nailed?) and Trossard.
Captain is another one I’m undecided on at this stage. I’ve been flipping between Vardy and KDB since the start of the week.

Hi Bruno, just a question please.
Perez or Doucoure for this week ? I cant seem to make up my mind as to make the transfer from perez to doucoure or bank the transfer. Please advise. thanks alot!!
Upper 90 Studios
16/01/20
Hi. Perez is a hard player to assess because he can be hot or cold. I like the idea of a gamble on Doucoure, but it’s really up to you! 🙂
If you can wait and prices don’t force your hand, the option of banking it is also reasonable. Not easy.

Hi bruno,
Love the content. Having looked at your handy fixture difficulty cheatsheet I have identified Everton to have a run of 3 green games for attacking potential. This considered, out of all of the forwards at Everton, who would you be more inclined to invest in? I’m thinking Calvert lewin or richarlison , your thoughts would be appreciated.
Keep up the great work my friend

Hi. Thanks! I might rate Richarlison highest, but of course price is a factor so it depends on your budget.
DCL can also work when he’s in good form, although I’m not sure I’ve ever had him in FPL.

Hi Bruno,
Excellent content and valuable insight as usual. Only one I’ve seen who provides the eye test on players than some other fpl experts.
As for me, it has been a terrible first season. Took a lot of hits, some bad transfers and to price rises, i’ve activated my second wildcard early to gain ground.
My Team
Foster
Lundstram – Dunk – Gomez
Mane – Salah – De Bruyne – Traore
Ings – Vardy – Rashford
(Button, Dendoncker, Reid, Simpson)
As you can see i’ve gone heavy on the premiums, but remain inflexible due to a lack of good bench options. Is this a dangerous tactic considering the blank weeks coming up? I’m also scared of taking hits, as it doesn’t pay off for me, is there a balanced approach to this?
I am currently at 3.2m in OR and in a small mini-league where the leader is at 90K OR, it has been depressing, do you think its possible to catch up in the remainder of the season?
All the best,
Tobias

Hi Tobias,
Thanks, appreciate you saying that. The eye test is one of the most accurate predictors. 👍
Sorry to hear about your season, although I can join you as I’m probably having my worst ever season. Hopefully we can make a late push to finish strong.
I like the team overall with two small notes on Traore and Rashford. Two excellent options when fully-fit, but they may be struggling with knocks ahead of the weekend. Let’s see if we have an update on both before deadline.
An alternative for Traore is Doucoure (depending on funds). I see you have a thin bench with no defender cover, so I can imagine funds are maxed.
Consider Williams (Man United) in for Simpson, I think they’re the same price? Williams is close to a price rise.
If Rashford is confirmed out, Firmino is a short-term option. It would require a change to your third Liverpool player at the back. With Rashford closer to dropping in price and being cheaper than Firmino, you could later decide whether to make that change in the future.
Keep an eye on this website for price changes: http://fplstatistics.com/
If you click the “Target” tab at the top of the table, you’ll see Rashford over the threshold for a price drop. If you’re on a Wildcard, you could consider dropping him right now, waiting until his price drops (no guarantees it will drop), then buy him for a cheaper price before deadline.
I like it as is for now. We can hear the rest of the press conferences Friday, then reassess. For now, the only note is to sell then rebuy Rashford at a cheaper price if your Wildcard is active, and the opposite trick with Williams in now for Simpson.
I might’ve added more to this comment, but I want be sure you get this before tonight’s price changes.

Hi Bruno,
Great video and analysis as always. I always look forward to your video every week. Keep up the great work man!
I need some help/feedback on my team and transfers that i am thinking of for DGW24. Below is my team and transfer thoughts. Let me know which one sounds good to you. I am behind 60 points of my ML leader and really need to start closing that gap
Ramsdale (Skelenburg)
TAA, Soyuncu, Lundy (Rico, Kelly)
KDB, Mane, Maddison, Martial (Lansbury)
Vardy, Abraham, DCL
I did Rashford to DCL this week to free up some funds for my transfer next gw. I need to fix ramsdale situation but not sure if -4 is worth changing him. I have 2.2 million on the bank
Transfer options next GW
1) Abraham to Firminho. I have seen stats that Firminho has the best goal scoring record away from home compared to both mane and salah. Considering liverpool are playing both games away ( wolves and west ham), this might be a cheeky differential
2) Soyuncu to Robertson. I have the exact money for this transfer and any price changes will probably kill this move. Robertson also have been really solid away from home so a very good option also.
3) KDB to Salah. This one will be just a one week punt and KDB will come straight back the next week. I don’t have lot of value tied in to KDB so this is an option to double up on liverpool mids for one week punt!
Please let me know your thoughts and which move do you think makes sense to you. Thanks as always man. Have a great gameweek!
Cheers,
Rahul

Hi Rahul. Always good to hear that, thanks!
Maybe not for the -4 hit, but I can understand the GK idea. EDIT: I missed that Ramsdale is injured! Saw it on the next comment… Needs more thought after realizing this, and I hope you see this edit in time.
1) Liking this idea for the reasons you mentioned.
2) Super close to Option 1. You’d compare Soy+Firmino vs. Robertson+Abraham GW24. Nightmare decision!
3) Not sure about selling KDB, but I can understand the short-term idea, and if pressed to choose one between Mane and Salah, I might prefer Salah.
All excellent ideas. At this moment, I’m leaning toward Options 1 or 2 with KDB for the long-run. Since I have a similar plan for my own team GW24, and I’m still undecided, I can’t pick one at this point. For me, it’s also between Robertson and Firmino.
The key could be GW23 as things change quickly. Just saw that Richarlison is out injured which was a bit of a surprise. I would say to take another round of information so we have more information to make a final decision.
Good luck!

Hi Bruno
I hope all is well and just watched your video the other day as l am on holiday in India and WiFi is a bit hit and miss!
I set my team for GW21 before l flew out and scored an ok 68pts then followed up with a very average 56pts GW22 dropping to 121k OR, like you mentioned Rashford and Ings have been killing me up front.
Also the injury to Ramsdale didn’t help, so l moved for McCarthy and also to save some funds.
My original plan was to bring Ings in for Jiménez, but that will have to wait now.
So at the moment my current team is as below – 1FT/£1.5 ITB/All chips
McCarthy – (Button)
TAA / Lundstram / SIdibe – (Soy / Rico)
Salah / KDB / Maddison / Martial / Grealish
Vardy / JImenez / Ayew
Captain on KDB / Vice Vardy
I just need your thoughts for GW24 as l am flying back Sunday / Monday as will be pushed to make the dead line…….
Like most l am planning to have 3 LIverpool players for GW24 but also beyond for their great fixtures, which option would you go for?
Soy & Ayew out
Option 1 – Robinson & Greenwood in – already owning TAA a lot will go for this combo
Option 2 – Firmino & Greenwood in – this is a more left field move at 10% ownership a deferential
Soy & RIco out
Option 3 – VVD & WIlliams in – VVD is a safer move in terms of rotation and l also like WIlliams as a great potential budget player and RIco looks to have lost his place and l need to get rid.
Option 4 – Mané / Noble / Ings in – Maddison / Martial / JImenez out – This looks a scary move on paper, but Jiménez has blanked the last few games and fixtures look tough, Martial is a bit hot and cold though he has returned in the last 4 GW’s and l lose Maddison but it could be worth the gamble for a -4pt hit!!!
As a side note l am tempted to Triple captain Salah for GW24, but on looking at their fixtures they play Wolves 24/1 – FA Cup 26/1 – West Ham 30/1 – Southampton 1/2, so their fixtures look more like Christmas and there maybe better GW to play the triple captain later but by then the title might already be won??
Sorry for the ramble too much time drinking cocktails in the sun, look forward to your thoughts / comments.
All the best
Malcolm

Hi Malcolm,
Hope you’re having a great time! Yes, a combination of players we don’t own blanking while those we don’t own score. And they returned decent points.
Options 1+2 – Both strong. I’m still deciding between Robertson and Firmino for GW24, so I can’t point you in a set direction just yet.
Option 3 – Can see the reasoning with VVD, although Robertson feels more exciting for the possible attacking returns. Williams is sneaking in now, but I’m curious if he can keep out Luke Shaw. Big decision for Ole because it would be harsh for Williams to be dropped.
Option 4 – Not sure about this one as I rate Maddison. Leicester looked tired in the festive fixtures, but I can see them bouncing back after a full week of rest. Not sure I’ve ever had Noble in my FPL team, sometimes he can be a bit card happy. Another tough one between Ings and Jimenez! Ings is in the best form of his life, while Jimenez can deliver against the stronger sides. Wolves haven’t been at their best recently. I’m willing to give their players another chance, but there are no excuses GW23. One of my GW24 plans involves Jimenez out for Firmino or Rashford.
GW24 looks a great option for the TC chip. I’m also very tempted for my own team.
Leaning toward Options 1+2, but it is dependent on performances. My strategy is to watch GW23 closely to see if it helps guide me toward a final decision. We own similar players, and I feel that almost half of our starters have to step up to the plate this weekend.
Hopefully they will settle to their normal levels now, otherwise it could be worth mixing things up.
Enjoy the cocktails! 🇮🇳😎

Hi bruno,
Cantwell or doucoure better for this week (and potentially next couple of weeks)?
Thanks alot
Upper 90 Studios
18/01/20
Hi. Leaning toward a gamble on Doucoure, but it’s not easy. Cantwell has high ownership with strong FPL managers and could be the safer option. Doucoure is riskier. Also the very next fixture is not so easy to predict for Watford vs. Spurs.

Hi Bruno, hope you are doing well. Looking for advice on captain this week.
I have used 1 FT to move Inges in for Abraham, so for next GW I will have 2 FTs and 1.9 banked.
So the team:
Pope (Button)
TAA, Soyuncu, Lindstram (Kelly, Fernandez)
KDB, Mane, Maddison, Traore (D Luiz)
Inges, Vardy, Jimenez
So for captain would you suggest KdB at home or Vardy away? Or Mane?
Appreciate your thoughts.

Hi. Burnley have been poor, so Leicester players have a great opportunity to score some goals. Crystal Palace can sometimes spring a surprise against the bigger teams, although they are missing many players through injury. Liverpool vs. United is harder to predict, so I might avoid players from this one.
Between Vardy and KDB. I’ve had it set on Vardy most of the week, but it’s not 100% set just yet. Last minute decision on this one.
