Hi Bruno,
Further to my comment in gw5 post, I’ve made a typing error.
What are your thoughts on replacing sterling with son?
Also, between salah and mane, who would you suggest to be transferred out for a premium striker?
Thanks in advance for the advise!!

Hi. It might depend on the squad improvements that this transfer will allow. For example, the combination of Son with Mount over a Β£4.5m midfielder could give you an edge.
It’s not easy because we know what Sterling can do when he starts consistently!
Between Salah and Mane, I prefer to keep Salah. He is always involved in the attacks, combines well with Firmino who is in top form, and he’s on penalties. Mane is one of the best finishers in the world, but he can sometimes drift in and out of games.
Thanks for the comment! π

Maybe instead of selling Maguire I would recommend selling Digne. Digne is not half the player he was last season and United have some good defensive stats and the cleansheets will come. Also saving the 0.4 M to be used elsewhere.

Interesting. You’re right about United’s defensive stats, it’s a reason why I invested in them on the Wildcard. One concern is their weakness in the attack with so many injuries to key players. It invites opponents to push forward, creating chances. It puts United on the back foot, I prefer it when defenders have less work to do like at Man City. Pogba’s return will help, hard to tell if it’s enough.
Everton have their own issues with Marco Silva not getting the best from the players.
Yes, funds are another factor.
Both players are fighting to stay in my team, one will definitely leave this week. I appreciate the advice as always. π

Nice to hear, thanks. I might build from the back, similar to my plan this week: Maguire to Otamendi.
If Sterling gets benched again and Aguero scores, it could be time to make that change. We would have more info on whether Guardiola is saving Aguero for the league this season after GW7. To make that swap would require hits and I can’t suggest that for others with confidence, I can only say what I’ve done for my team.
Your attackers are set. Wish you a successful first season!

I opted for Ederson as my third MCI player. I had been losing ground with Pickford for the last few weeks. Even though this season I feel like I am zigging while everyone else is zagging your videos are helping
Thanks Bruno

Ederson is a solid choice. It’s been frustrating for Everton that they lost their new defensive midfielder to injury. Their clean sheet potential has been declining after a promising start.
Good to hear that, thanks. π

I brought in Abraham using my two free transfers and I also had to take a (-4) hit, do you think it’s worth it and can you suggest me a Spurs defender who could have good attacking returns becauseI’m planning on transferring Digne out in the next GW!
This is how my team lines up now:-
GK:- Pope,Button(bench)
DEF:- Lundstrum,Digne,Trent,Rico,Hanley(bench)
MID:- Salah,KDB,Sterling,Guendouzi(bench),Nakamba(,
FWD:- Pukki,Abraham,Barry
How can I improve it, thanks for your help again because of you I don’t really bother that much asking for advice from fpl experts!!

Abraham and Chelsea look excellent in the attack. π
Pochettino likes to keep his fullbacks fresh through rotation, but it doesn’t mean you can’t take a chance. If you’re willing to take that risk, Aurier is a quality choice for attacking returns. He’s in good form and seems to have been rested for the league. Alderweireld is another option with a lower attacking potential.
The other option is to keep Digne, but he has to deliver consistently for the price. Big test against Man City next!
GK+DEF are strong overall. You know the deal with Digne, has to perform or you have options.
Midfielders and forwards are ready. Smallest chance of Sterling being benched again, but if he starts, he’s a top pick with a high scoring potential. Not easy to suggest selling because we know what he can do.
After the moves you’ve made, I might build from the back just as you mentioned. If Aguero continues to pull away from Sterling, that swap could also be in the cards for the future.
Thanks!

Hey Bruno!
I Really appreciate your videos, I managed to score 74 points with my team.
Pope
Digne, VVD, Lundstram
Cantwell, Mane, KDB, Son
Pukki, Aguero (C), C.Wilson
I have made one change for this week, replaced Digne with Otamendi. I am now left with 0.8 mn in the bank.
Really confused about bringing in Tammy in place of Wilson, taking a 4 point hit. However waiting for a week is also possible, but afraid of Tammy’s price rise.
Anyway, I am planning to get TAA in the coming weeks.

Hey! That’s great, and congrats on the score 74pts π
Know what you mean with prices, sometimes they force our hand if we really want the player. In this case, it’s so difficult because Wilson has been good. Not much between the two. I trust Wilson a little more from experience with FPL, Tammy is young and might still put in inconsistent performances. For your team, Tammy would provide Chelsea attack cover against Mount owners. Every factor counts.
I wouldn’t be able to suggest the transfer because they can both do well. Hopefully you’d be able to ride out price changes, although you may not have to if Wilson scores again, or you make the transfer! No easy solution to this one, sorry.
I have the same plan in mind for TAA depending on performances.

Kia ora Bruno -congrats on your great score! Eddie (64pts) and I (62pts) also got green arrows this week. Eddie stuck with Maddison, and I used my free hit to replace Sterling with Aguero as Capt for the week. A bit disappointing that I left Lundstram on the bench in favour of Digne. My question for this week – should I play Lundstram against Liverpool? I see you’ve picked him at the moment in your video. My other defenders are Pereira, Soyuncu (my transfer in this week for Maguire -cheap to help me save $ to buy Mount soon), Mings, Kelly. Currently I’m picking 3 defenders -Pereira, Soyuncu, Mings for this GW, to allow me to embrace the risk of starting Greenwood as a third attacker this week, following his 2 recent midweek goals and problems with forwards at Utd, Fingers crossed that Ole starts him. Cheers Davina

Kia Ora Davina. Thanks! Great scores for you guys, congrats. Maddison has been close to scoring, he’s a quality player. π
Between Lundstram and Pereira. I don’t have much of a choice, but if I had a Leicester defender, I might give him a chance over Lundstram.
Good chance Greenwood will start as they may not have another fit striker this weekend.
Thanks for the update and good luck!

Hey Bruno,
As always your videos and analysis have been fantastic. Thanks alot.
Your thoughts on the playing team I have.
Pope
Lundstram, Mings, PVA
Mount, STERLING, KBD, SALAH, CANTWELL
PUKKI, AGUERO
I have 2 transfers that I can use what would you make of it. Should I sell Sterling and get
Option 1 – Tammy and Lamela
Option 2 – Mane and keep 1 transfer or should I stick with this team.
Upper 90 Studios
26/09/19
Hey. Good to hear that, thanks. π
No major issues with the team. Not the ideal fixture for Lundstram, but we can make a case for starting the highest scoring defender in FPL against any opponent.
PVA has one more favorable fixture, before a difficult run against stronger attacking sides. If Sterling continues to be benched, maybe he could use a closer look next week.
^^^ I wrote this before reading the rest of your comment.
Leaning toward sticking with the team. Option 1 can also work, although I would prefer going higher to Son over Lamela. Lamela can be hot or cold and not the safest from rotation.
Nothing required to change, which is a good problem to have.

Hi Bruno,
Great video as always. Happy to hear about your great week. I had a successful wildcard last week with 74 points! Below is my current team and i have one free transfer, do you think i should make any transfer? Do you see any areas of improvement?
I will be playing 3-4-3 formation. I want to get abraham in place of barnes but i would need to make some cut somewhere. I am hoping mount can be my chelsea cover
Pope (Button)
Soyuncu, Aurier, Otamendi (Lundstram, Rico)
KDB, Salah, Son, Mount (Hayden)
Barnes, Pukki, Aguero
Thanks

Hi. Thank you. Glad the Wildcard worked straight away, 74pts.
Mount could be better than just cover for Abraham. I really like his style as a player, didn’t know much about him until this season.
Team is excellent. You already have a plan in case Barnes continues to blank. Some concerns over Tottenham, they have to show team unity starting with the next home game. It seems every day there’s a story about Eriksen or Pochettino leaving.
No concerns, minor notes. π

Hey Bruno,
This is my first season playing FPL and you’re my favourite FPL influencer since before GW1. I did good at first two GW with 77 and 71 points, but start declining since then.
Right now I’m pretty confident with my Midfielders and Forwards but I’d like to hear your thoughts about my current Defenders that I want to improve.
WBISSAKA/ZINCHENKO/PIETERS/KELLY(benched)/LUNDSTRAM(benched)
0.4 m left in the bank.
I only need 3 starting Defenders for my 3-4-3 formation.
Now I’m considering between AURIER, ALDERWEIRELD, WALKER, TOMORI, DIGNE, MATIP, SOYUNCU to make the improvements. Please give me your thoughts about this.
Thanks!

Hey, good to hear that, I appreciate your support. π
Know what you mean with the defense, it’s the area I’m working on as well.
Wan-Bissaka, I didn’t like seeing United on the backfoot last game, while down 2 goals! With so many of their first team attackers out injured, opponents will spend more time in attacking areas. Sometimes attack is the best form of defense, like with Man City.
Zinchenko is a tricky one also. No idea what Guardiola is thinking leaving him out of the squad completely in the League Cup. Does that mean he’s playing in the league, or has he dropped out of favor? I don’t know, but there is real competition on the left flank now, so we can make a case for selling him to reduce the risk.
From your list of replacements, a Man City defender makes sense. If forced to choose one at this moment, Otamendi would be my preference for points-potential/price. Walker can also work. Aurier is as a good gamble while he’s starting regularly and being rested for the league. Small risk of rotation, Pochettino likes to keep his fullbacks fresh. Alderweireld is another decent option, lower rotation risk. Both are somewhat dependent on Tottenham pulling together as a team after strange results.
Matip, Liverpool have to keep clean sheets, otherwise it might be better to aim for attacking returns with TAA or Robertson. Soyuncu plays Liverpool away GW8, but he’s a good option for the price. I’m watching Tomori to see if Chelsea can lock things down defensively. Digne I’m concerned about because Everton aren’t playing well, but we know what he can do. All it takes is one set piece.
I would consider Otamendi, Soyuncu, Aurier.
Wishing you a successful first season!
-Bruno
