***UPDATE: KDB injured, Hayden suspended! The positive is Kelly might come in off the bench since Sakho is out injured again. Banking a transfer to have 2FTs for the international break. Keeping KDB because I don’t want to use up a transfer on a player who is staying for the long-run, Guardiola said he will return GW9. Similar reasoning as Mount a few weeks back.
The pressure is on Aguero and Son to deliver, no excuses, even if they’re benched! If they fail to deliver, I may make a change on the premium differentials. Captain Aguero, vice captain Salah. Pochettino hinted at rotation… does he know Son was subbed early GW7? I can’t blame him for being confused, I feel the same way this week. Approaching this round with an open mind! Thanks for watching!!! 👍💯 -Bruno
PS: I have my school reunion this weekend, so I will miss many of the live games, then catch up early in the week. I might post a photo or two on social media. Later! 🎓

Wow, interesting results and performances in the Champions League already! will Aguero even start this weekend after playing the midweek game? Is De Bruyne injured? I may change the captain and vice-captain just to be safe, or make a new transfer plan…

Hi. Yes, many strong FPL managers will be dealing with injuries to key players. Leaning toward saving the Free Hit chip for the blanks and double gameweeks later in the season.
pope (ryan)
van dijk, digne, Van Anhold, soyinchu (wan bissaka)
cantwell, mount, salah, oriol romeu (de bryene)
kane, callum wilson, (greenwood)
Can see the issue with the injuries. Your team is close if Cantwell plays, but he is also a minor doubt. I haven’t read up on Wan-Bissaka and whether he will play this round, but if you were to shift him out, consider Tomori. That should pull you to 11 players GW8, then they are all likely to return for GW9.
If you use the Wildcard, which is up to you, players like Aubameyang and Sterling are worth considering.

Hey Bruno, I’m panicking because 2 of my players are not playing and 1 is in doubt.
My Team:
Ryan (button)
Otamendi lundstram kelly (matip!!, rico)
Salah sterlinG KDB!! mane cantwell??
Pukki tammy (greenwood)
What would you suggest I do with my team? Do you think sterling will play this week? Or do you think I can loose him, mane & greenwood for auba, son & mount (-8) and gamble with cantwell? Or I can keep sterling and get auba but loose mane for douglas luis/saka/guendouzi (-4) ? And finally, who should I captain?
Sorry for the many questions but Please help as this is my first year playing and I’m lost right now. Thanks alot mate!!

Hey. Yes, I’m relying on Kelly to come off my bench, otherwise, I will be at least one player short. That’s before players get benched or rested!
Ryan (button)
Otamendi lundstram kelly, rico (matip!!)
Salah sterling mane (KDB!!, cantwell??)
Pukki tammy (greenwood)
If Cantwell makes it, you should have 11 players. Of course not the greatest fixture for Rico, but there’s a chance for an attacking return vs. Arsenal.
Sterling has a great chance of playing. I’m actually not sure if Son will start after Pochettino hinted at rotation. Leaning toward keeping Sterling in whichever plan you choose. One of the cheaper Arsenal mids could work if you go this route.
Frustrating because all of your injury doubts will return after the international break. It’s just this one week that’s affecting many strong FPL managers.
I’m approaching this round with zero expectations, watching my players closely to make a plan for the future.
Leaning toward two options, taking a gamble on Cantwell playing or the -4. But it’s not easy.
Sterling is probably the top captain option, maybe Salah also in the mix.

Hi Bruno, hope u doing great. Love your lucky golf ball. Am sure it will bring amazing things for u this game week. I am feeling a bit disappointed with myself and I blame it all on KDB!! Kidding. I was really hoping to bank the transfer and bench KDB but my bench was so weak! Ended up keeping KDB and taking a -4 hit for transfers I don’t even feel comfortable with just to strengthen my bench. I feel like I am constantly fighting fires and I guess this is the FPL appeal. The good news is that I finally got rid of Cebellos! Yay! Let’s see him score now. Anyway wish you the very best!! Green arrows for you!!

Hi. That’s funny with the golf ball! I’m going into this round with an open mind, anything can happen as far as injuries/suspensions/rotation. KDB is a tricky one because in my case, selling him temporarily could be costly if other players in my team fail to deliver. I don’t want to be forced to buy him back GW9 if I have other pressing issues.
Can understand the move with Ceballos. He did play the midweek game, so it’s possible he may be benched GW8. Either way, he hasn’t been doing enough in the league since his big return early in the season.
Good luck with your transfers, I hope they step in for you!

I’m thinking about banking 2 of my transfers to use it to bring in Mcguin and Tamori immediately after the Aston Villa game before the price rise. Will it be a good timing? And who should I captain Sterling, Pukki or Abraham? At the moment U have Abraham because of his consistency on away games but on the other hand Pukki have a great goal scoring record at home.
Thanks for the help, Bruno!!!!

Difficult to say because there is a long break between GW8 and GW9. Making early transfers can be risky with players on international duty.
At this point, McGinn has two more games before his fixtures turn more difficult. Tomori is great value. Small risk of rotation when Rudiger returns, but Lampard hinted that he has earned a starting spot on current form.
Leaning toward Sterling as the safer option. 👍

Hi Bruno,
Can you (or anybody) tell me if a player drops 0,1, from a pricerise of 0,2, the sellingprice will still stay at it’s value in between?! In this case at 0,1. Or … does it drop to the original 0,0 purchase price?
Hope I made it clear enough. Thanks already.

Hi. If you bought at 0.0 and he rises to 0.2, selling price is 0.1m. If he drops from 0.2 to 0.1, the selling price drops back to 0.0.
In your case, it should drop to the original purchase price, if I’m reading it correctly.

Thanks, Bruno, had a guess that it would be like that, didn’t take the risk and sold the player, being James for Yarmolenko. James didn’t drop afterall.
Would have preferred carrying the intended -4 hit into the next GW, but I needed the 0,1 extra to continue my plans. Couldn’t afford a pricedrop, so I decided to go early. It is one of those things that make FPL exciting 👍! – Wouter

Hi Bruno, would appreciate your thoughts…need help.
Current team
Pope (Button)
Lundstrom, TAA, Digne PvA (Kelly)
Salah, Sterling, Mount, KdB, (Luiz)
Pukki, Abraham (Greenwood)
So I have 2 free transfers
Option 1: KdB out (but bring him back after the break) and bring in Son or David Silva or someone else you think is better, and keep the extra transfer
Option 2: Option 1 and replace PvA with Otamendi.
Thank you for all your help….

Hi. Very close because those extra transfers could come in handy during the break.
Smallest concern that Pochettino could bench Son after mentioning rotation in the press conference. Silva seems interesting in the short term, never know with Pep roulette.
Otamendi’s scoring potential increases with Jota out injured.
Those are the thoughts, but I’m struggling to pick an option. For example, going for Option 2 would take away the 2FTs for the international break. Then again, Option 1 also requires using a transfer on KDB next week, but that doesn’t mean it can’t work as your team is in good shape otherwise.

Hi Bruno, this game week has been really bad for me.
My team:
Ryan (button)
Kelly Lundstram otamendi (Rico, matip)
Salah sterling cantwell guenduezi (kdb)
Auba Tammy pukki
I know it’s a bit early since there is international break coming up. But, to be safer on the price rise, I am thinking of taking -8 to replace pukki to Calum Wilson, sterling to madison, guenduezi to mahrez.
Or, I could take -4 to replace pukki to Calum Wilson & matip to tomori. Barring the international break and assuming there will be no injuries, do you think any of the options above is worth doing? Otherwise, do you have any other suggestions? Thank you in advance and really appreciate your efforts.
Upper 90 Studios
07/10/19
Hi. Not a fun week with many top players blanking.
Hard to suggest buying Mahrez after he was subbed off at 59min with a blank.
I can see the ideas you have in mind. The international break is crucial for many national teams, they are Euro qualifiers, not friendlies. The players will be fighting to win.
Salah and KDB are already flagged, although they should both recover. I’m undecided on Pukki to Wilson for my own team, so I can’t steer others in a set direction just yet.
For these reasons, I’m leaning toward a more conservative approach, waiting until closer to deadline so we have all the info before commiting to transfers. Maybe a compromise could be just one early transfer if waiting would mean being priced out of a move?
It’s not easy after another low-scoring week, hang in there.

Hi Bruno, 47 points pritty happy with this score. Cant believe McGinn didnt participate in any of AV 5 goals!)) Only downside another cap blank. Hope you had a good gw.
current team:
Pope/Button
TAA, Soy, Lund, Kelly, Tomori
Mane, Son, KDB, McGinn, Cantwell
Kun, Pukki, Abraham
ITB 0,4 / 2 FT
few options im looking at pls advise
a. Son + Cantwell -> Mount + Madds
b. Pukki + Cantwell -> Mount/Madds (which?) + Green/Connoly (which?)
c. Pukki + Son -> Vardy + Mount
thx for prompt reply

Hi. Glad to hear that. 👍 An ok week for my team, small green arrows.
Prefer Mount and Connoly, but it’s super close with the two mids.
Between options a+b. If forced to choose one at this moment, maybe a.

Hi Bruno, Hope you had green arrows this game week. Mine was bad, 38 points and did not play Kelly instead of Soyuncu as I wanted but took a bad decision and played Soyuncu.
I am more than 50 points behind first place in my mini league.
My team:
Pope (Button)
Soyuncu, Kelly, VVD, Otamendi, Lundstram
Salah, Son, KdB, Mount, Saka
Aguero, Pukki, Martinelli
Everybody has Abraham. Thinking about switching Pukki to Abraham, I have the extra funds, but is Wilson the better option when all the others have Abraham?
I could also go for aubameyang, but will take a -4 hit and sell Son who faces Watford next GW.
Option 1:
Pope (Button)
Soyuncu, Kelly, VVD, Otamendi, Lundstram
Salah, Son, KdB, Mount, Saka
Aguero, Abraham, Martinelli
Option 2:
Pope (Button)
Soyuncu, Kelly, VVD, Otamendi, Lundstram
Salah, Son, KdB, Mount, Saka
Aguero, Wilson, Martinelli
Option 3 (-4 hit)
Pope (Button)
Soyuncu, Kelly, VVD, Otamendi, Lundstram
Salah, Odoi, KdB, Mount, Saka
Aguero, Aubameyang, Martinelli
Only reason I want to keep Son is because of next opponent Watford. Should be the easiest team to play against atm, but have not seen Tottenham play this bad and Son keeps getting substituted.
Abraham I only want because of ownership in my mini league and Elite64, but now his price has changed again and also I need to differentiate from the other managers.
Wilson could be a good pick to differentiate and keep son for one more round and then go for option 3 next GW.
Option 3 could be great but need Aubameyang to perform with -4 hit and not sure about Odoi. He showed good energy but most likely will be substituted every game. Saka the same.
Sorry for the long post, but what are your thoughts about my options for GW9 and do you have other players you prefer instead?
Thanks, Bruno!
Upper 90 Studios
07/10/19
Hi. Small green arrows, not the most fun week.
If forced to choose between Abraham and Wilson, I would prefer Abraham, but both are top options for GW9. As you said, ownership stats are a factor and Abraham’s form is too difficult to ignore.
Worried for Son and the World Cup qualifier he has with South Korea with the traveling. Small chance he may be benched GW9.
We have similar players. My plan is to watch the international games as it’s possible they could give us the answers this week.
I’m working on the fixture cheatsheet today and tomorrow, so I will have a better idea on the players’ points potential, even Wilson vs. Abraham. Arsenal’s fixtures aren’t as easy as they look on paper after GW9: CRY, WOL, LEI. To be fair, they can raise their game at home.
If forced to choose at this very moment, possibly Option 3. But my main suggestion would be to play it game by game including the national teams with the Euro and World cup qualifiers.
Thanks for the comment and great tips on the teams and players. 👍

hey bruno!
This is my wildcard team, need suggestions and tips
Pope,Ryan
Lundstram,TAA,Soyuncu,Rico,Kelly

Might bring back KDB or salah, removed them just to dodge price falls.

Hey! Excellent team. The only suggestion is what you already mentioned, considering KDB or Salah closer to deadline.
Not easy to improve it. 👍
