FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM TIPS FOR 2019-20
FPL GW5 Team
🚨 Final GW5 Team! 🚨
TRANSFERS OUT: Wan-Bissaka, Mané
TRANSFERS IN: van Dijk, De Bruyne
***UPDATE: Two transfers close to deadline: Wan-Bissaka and Mané out for van Dijk and KDB (-4 hit). Not taking a chance in case Newcastle lock things down away as they did versus Spurs already this season. Norwich have no defensive players, I prefer Man City attackers this round. Watching another round of games to assess form and potential, leaving enough flexibility to upgrade any position – defense, midfield, forwards. Thanks for your patience and good luck everyone! 👍💯 -Bruno
Previous updates.
Still deciding who to sell, Wan-Bissaka or Maguire. Not happy to see Wan-Bissaka at 50%, although he was pictured with the United squad. I might end up taking a chance on Maguire against his former club… Vardy vs. Maguire sounds like a really good time! 🙂
No early transfers. There is a 2-week international break that could see surprise injuries or players benched GW5. Waiting until the press conferences before making any moves, but that doesn’t mean we can’t plan ahead.
I’m considering making another video for GW5 with the top picks and high-risk players to avoid. Can’t wait to watch the rest of the games (except Man United) and do some research. I appreciate your positivity, stay tuned! -Bruno

GW5 transfers and positive action plan ✅
CAUTION! International duty.
Some Premier League players will be away with their countries during the two-week international break.
This increases the risk of injury and rotation GW5. My plan is to hold off on early transfers, even if it means missing out on price changes. The press conferences should provide more clues close to deadline. If you’re on a Wildcard, you can rest easier. 👍

Dreadful start 6,400k GW, 3,300k OR
Pope,(Button)
Robertson,WanB*,Lund,Rico*,Walker-Peters*
Salah,Sterling,Dendonker,Perez*,Martial*
Kane,Pukki,Greenwood
Looked strong but now not looking so good, is it Wild Card time?
(Actually not me – its one of the ‘Elite 64’ never been out top 100k last 10 years – thought we could all do with a grin, and reminded its a marathon not a sprint.)

Do agree about the marathon. Going into my 7th FPL I experienced it’s possible to make up a lot of ground during the latter stages. But I also found out that a firm start is crucial to a realy high final ranking. Differentials get scarce eventually.

It is a marathon. My team is in a similar situation as the one you posted. Key players already in, the team core is strong.
It might need a difficult decision on Kane vs. KDB (sell Perez or Martial if injured), then use the funds to bring in Digne.
Building from there feels easier, but we would have to accept the risk when swapping premium players. What’s the alternative, not going with KDB? That might be worse.
Pope
Robertson,WanB,Lund,Digne
Salah,Sterling,KDB, x
new forward, Pukki
x could be Dendoncker, Perez/Martial, or a new player if Martial is confirmed out for GW5.
The Wildcard would tighten it all up in one swoop, but that’s up to the manager as 2-3 transfers could bring it back on track.

I would like to have spurs defender. Which one should i go to? Rose or CB? I afraid Rose will be rotate with Davies.

I agree with your assessment of the fullbacks. Pochettino has a history of rotating this position so I prefer a CB.

Bruno, who should I captain this week? Salah,Sterling or KDB. Salah was reste d but KEN and Sterling has better fixture since Newcastle plays a deep line with the big teams such they did against Spurs and I think they will tend to do the same against Liverpool.

Great point with Newcastle. KDB and Sterling have the better fixture and it’s possible Norwich could be without key defenders. Need an update before deadline before a final decision.
Currently leaning toward Sterling who has a higher ceiling than KDB.

Hi Bruno, bad luck in GW4 – hoping for better this week. Thanks for all your tips. I’m finding it a bit too boring to try to have all the same players as everyone else – though understand the rationale. I have some of the key players I want but can’t afford Salah too, without a strategy over time to downgrade some defenders and swap one of my strikers for a cheaper option. I’ve taken a -4points hit to get Vardy back (had to sell VVD) and swap Kane for Auba. What do you think of my team and who would you Captain? Thinking of Auba – but Watford could fire up with a new manager.
Ryan (Heaton)
Maguire, Pereira, Lundstram, Mings (Kelly)
Sterling, KDB, Mane, Dendoncker (Cantwell)
Vardy, Auba (Greenwood)
Thanks

Hi Davina. Yes, it is less exciting when we don’t go with our instinct. It used to be ok before this experts’ template emerged, we all had unique teams. Now, there is a real risk that when we have a bad week with our differentials, even if it was just bad luck, we can fall behind strong managers quickly.
Keep an eye on Maguire. I may sell him before deadline, but in my case, I have two United defenders! They have to cut out the individual mistakes defensively.
No other issues. If your strikers don’t deliver for the price, then consider a bump down to Barnes/Haller in order to upgrade the defense or your weakest starter. This is all dependent on upcoming performances of course.
Difficult timing with Watford getting a new manager. As you said, there could be a response from the players. Sterling is another strong captain option, safer because of his ownership and possibly high captaincy stats with strong FPL managers. But it’s up to you.
Thanks for the update.

Thanks.

Hi Bruno, i have only one question – whod you captain out of this lot below and why? thx
a. kdb
b. sterling
c. mane
d. well let it be son in this list too lol
ps. I understand that salah and kun are the obvious choices for this gw and woulda cap one of them if i had them in my team

Hi. Leaning toward Sterling. Higher ceiling than KDB and he was unstoppable for England – 1 goal and 3 assists before halftime.

Hey Bruno, was waiting to see your next video as you had said you’ll be posting it for GW5. I have a few questions
1) should I sell AWB for a maybe cheaper option? I own VVD and Digne Kelly Lundstram
2)i own Son and I’malrrady starting to feel I made a big mistake by not buying De Bruyne instead. Since I have 2 free transfers, I was thinking to sell Son for a cheaper option and upgrade Pukki/Barnes to Auba/Kane. What do you think about that?
3)Is selling Ryan for Pope a good option?
Upper 90 Studios
11/09/19
Hey. Not sure if I’ll be able to post a video in time before deadline. But I will share my transfers and final team as usual. 👍
1) Wish we had at least one more game so we could see which team to invest on. Burnley, Brighton?
2) KDB is in the form of his life and he has high ownership with strong FPL managers. I can only speak for my team and may end up bringing him in before deadline. your call on this one! There is also Champions League right around the corner and we might see some surprise benchings and early subs…
3) Brighton have been good this year. Last game was impossible vs. Man City. If Pope starts to pull ahead, then reassess.

Hey Bruno, I have a problem this game week as i plan to sell De Gea next week so that leaves me with Pope and De Gea to choose from but i also have Wan Bissaka so do you propose i take the very high risk/reward option with DDG and AWB or go Pope and AWB
Thanks
Josh

11/09/19
Hey Josh. That’s a difficult one! I’m in a similar situation with Maddison vs. AWB.
Maybe Pope AWB? Leicester are finding their best attacking form under Rodgers.
Not sure, needs more thought and possible clues from the press conferences.

Hi
My team:
Patricio
Soyuncu, Kelly, Fuchs,
Mane, Sterling, Cantwell, Douglas Luiz, Salah
Aguero, pukki
bench-button, Lundstram, Rico, Greenwood
What is your opinion? I have a free transfer and wildcard has already been played.

Hi. Can see your idea with the strong attack, of course, the defense is the weaker area.
Maybe not this week, but eventually you may have to choose between having 4 top premium options or bumping one down in order to improve the squad depth. I can sepak for my team, and this week, one of the options is to sell Mane for De Bruyne in order to improve other areas.

Hey Bruno
I have BAD habit O hitting the transfer Market Too heavy This week for example I dropped 12 pointes. I drpped Kane and Lapoint and I added Abbraham and Matik and Salah and I last added Walker
Thank you Casey

Hi Casey. I used to be super aggressive with transfers, so I can understand. Even now I’m still fighting the need to make the squad perfect every week with early moves.
Last season I began experimenting with a more conservative approach to transfers and it worked very well. It’s a different feeling now, but also enjoyable. Gives a strong sense of control with zero transfers made until after researching all of the press conferences, including Friday. Information is critical as we saw today with Barnes flagged yellow 75%. Every factor counts, even if it’s a small knock.
In your case, Laporte was always going to need a move. The others I can understand because you’re planning for the future. Keep in mind that it will be difficult to make up all the hits GW5, so you can be realistic and not feel frustrated if you don’t see big results straight away. Although I hope you do! 🙂
