FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM TIPS FOR 2019-20
FPL GW5 Team
🚨 Final GW5 Team! 🚨
TRANSFERS OUT: Wan-Bissaka, Mané
TRANSFERS IN: van Dijk, De Bruyne
***UPDATE: Two transfers close to deadline: Wan-Bissaka and Mané out for van Dijk and KDB (-4 hit). Not taking a chance in case Newcastle lock things down away as they did versus Spurs already this season. Norwich have no defensive players, I prefer Man City attackers this round. Watching another round of games to assess form and potential, leaving enough flexibility to upgrade any position – defense, midfield, forwards. Thanks for your patience and good luck everyone! 👍💯 -Bruno
Previous updates.
Still deciding who to sell, Wan-Bissaka or Maguire. Not happy to see Wan-Bissaka at 50%, although he was pictured with the United squad. I might end up taking a chance on Maguire against his former club… Vardy vs. Maguire sounds like a really good time! 🙂
No early transfers. There is a 2-week international break that could see surprise injuries or players benched GW5. Waiting until the press conferences before making any moves, but that doesn’t mean we can’t plan ahead.
I’m considering making another video for GW5 with the top picks and high-risk players to avoid. Can’t wait to watch the rest of the games (except Man United) and do some research. I appreciate your positivity, stay tuned! -Bruno

GW5 transfers and positive action plan ✅
CAUTION! International duty.
Some Premier League players will be away with their countries during the two-week international break.
This increases the risk of injury and rotation GW5. My plan is to hold off on early transfers, even if it means missing out on price changes. The press conferences should provide more clues close to deadline. If you’re on a Wildcard, you can rest easier. 👍

Hey Bruno.
Just wanted to know your thoughts on both these teams as I am struggling to select the best fit team.
Team A (-8 points):
Ryan (Button)
TAA Mings Kelly (Rico, Lundstram)
Salah KDB Mane Sterling Cantwell
Barnes Pukki (Greenwood)
Team B (-4 points):
Ryan (Button)
Matip Zinchenko Kelly (Rico, Lundstram)
Salah KDB Mane Sterling Cantwell
Tammy Pukki (Greenwood)

Hi. So close between the two. Maybe the smallest edge to Team A, but the extra hit may not pay off straight away. Should work well in the long-run.

Thanks for your input Bruno.
Just a question though, would you rather Barnes or Tammy?
Thanks for your opinion. Keep up the good work!!

No problem. 👍 Leaning toward Barnes. Tammy was gifted those goals in the last game, although he took them well.

I changed my team again and I bought in KDB since everyone is bringing him with their wildcard. I had to transfer out Zinchenko (Mendy is coming back),Cantwell,Daniel James (difficult fixtures) and Heller (difficult fixtures) and transfered in KDB,Vestegard,Guendouzi (starts regularly, good fixtures and gets into the attack more frequently by acting as Box To Box mid) and Greenwood.
This is how my team lines up now:-
GK- POPE,BUTTON(bench)
DEF:- VESTEGARD,DIGNE,ARNOLD,LUNDSTRUM(bench),KELLY(bench)
MID:- GUENDOUZI,MOUNT,KDB,SALAH,STERLING
FWD:- VARDY,PUKKI,GREENWOOD(bench)
How is it now? What improvements should I make this time?
Thanks for all your help! My second season is going pretty well so far because of your advise, Thanks!!!

I like the team overall. If Guendozi can continue to start regularly, it could work well.
Strong team overall, hard to improve it. 👍

Hey Would really like you to RMT and give suggestions:
Current team:
Pope (button)
Vvd Zinc Kelly (lundstram, rico)
Kdb sterling salah mane Cantwell
Pukki (greenwood, wikham)
-12 team & 1.4 m itb:
Pope (button)
Taa zinc Kelly (lundstram, rico)
Kdb sterling Salah mount (cantwell)
Pukki Tammy Barnes
Is it worth taking a -12 points for the second team and removing mane? Otherwise, what would you suggest? Please and thank you very much.

Hey. Don’t think so. I would suggest moving toward your ideal team by spreading out the hits over a few rounds.
Things change quickly. By GW6, you might have all new priorities and players on the Watchlist.
The moves I might consider is KDB in midfield with an extra forward. But I understand the problem selling Mane. I’m in the same situation.

Hey Bruno ,
Really glad to see your blog posts & videos .
I am on a WC like many others .Can you please rate my team :
Pope/Button
Digne- Pieters-Dunk- Lundstrom- Kelly
Salah -KDB-Son-Kantwell -Dendocker
Aguero -Pukki – Haller
1) Is dropping Sterling a big gamble ? Can it be covered with Aguero & KDB
2 ) Son vs Kane .Had to go with Son due to the lack of funds
3)Any better alternative at the back . Really wanted to have Robertson .
Hoping to hear soon .
Cheers ,
Jeff

Hey Jeff. Thank you. I’ve had a few days off, coming back now.
1) Yes, but I can understand moving for Aguero on a Wildcard. It won’t be easy with Sterling’s high ownership with strong FPL managers. I did something similar with Mane vs. KDB and it didn’t quite work out.
2) Can see the value in Son, good idea.
3) It could be worth drawing up an extra draft with a Liverpool defender – high ownership stats with strong managers. Robertson is a safe choice as is van Dijk who is 100% nailed-on as we head into Champions League weeks.
The key decisisons are Aguero vs. Sterling and whether to bring in Liverpool defensive cover. I can’t ever suggest dropping Aguero for those on a Wildcard. He is a top pick on current form.
Not easy! Let’s see if we have more clues from the remaining international matches.

Hi Bruno,
Thanks for the continous effort in producing these helpful videos.
I need you’re advice on whether to bench Pukki at home against Man City and go 5-4-1 and bring in Lundstram from the bench for a potential attacking return against Southampton and also should i consider KDB as a differential captain pick (don’t have Sterling) against Norwich incase Salah blanks against Newcastle?
Any help would be great.

Hi Tobias. You’re welcome. Difficult decisions that need more thought.
I have Pukki abnd Lundstram and it’s possible I may start both or just one, so it’s hard to point you in a set direction at the moment. I’m curious to see how Man City will cope without Laporte and the Champions League coming soon.
Close between Salah and KDB. If all the main Newcastle defenders are fully-fit, it could be tricky for Salah. Newcastle can sometimes put in strong away performances as we saw against Spurs already this season.

Hi. I can see the idea with the premium attackers. You also have proper cover at the back. Not sure if Kelly will keep his place for much longer as Sakho is near a return.
That means relying on Lundstram, Guendozi and Cantwell as starters in your squad in the long-term. All three could work best in a rotation system, so it’s not easy.
The only option is to drop one of the premium attackers (Sterling vs. Aguero) and I wouldn’t be able to choose one at this moment. Sterling has high ownership with strong FPL managers. Aguero is in top form. The Champions League is coming up right after GW5 and we don’t know what Pep has in mind for minutes and rotation. No Man City attacker is safe from Pep roulette.

Hey Bruno, hope you can give me some advice on my team.
My team:
Ryan (button)
VVD Zinc Kelly (Lundstram, Rico)
Salah KDB Mane Sterling Cantwell
Pukki (Greenwood, Wikham)
New team:
Ryan (button)
VVD Zinc Digne (Kelly, Lundstram)
Salah KDB Sterling Cantwell McGinn
Pukki Tammy/Barnes Greenwood
However, new team costs -8 points but 2.8m ITB for Greenwood -> Barnes on GW6. Do you think this is worth it? Or do you think you have a better idea? Please advise thank you.

Hey. Liking the new team plan with Digne and a change in formation to more forwards.
The problem is the -8 hit. Is it possible to get to your ideal team by spreading out the hits while maximizing the points each round?
It’s not easy because it requires selling Mane fir the funds and he is a decent choice GW5. My situation is different – I may sell Mane for KDB, but you already have KDB.
If you go Mane to McGinn and Rico to Digne for a -4 hit, I still don’t know if it’s enough to make it all up straight away. You would justify it as a long-term plan that would pay off over a few rounds.
I want to yes with the -8, you will have proper safeguards in place in case things go wrong. But you have to accept the risk that it might not work out points-wise GW5 because of Mane and the hit. The new players must deliver straight away or it would be better to give your current team another chance (between Kelly and Lundstram to start), then make the 3 transfers with -4 hit next week.

Hi Bruno!
What do you think of this squad?
Pope
Digne Van dijk Lundstram
Salah sterling KDB mcGinn Mount
Haller Barnes
Button,Laporte( who to replace? )
Kelly, Wickham on the bench
What do you think of this squad Bruno? It Would be nice to hear, Any feedback?

Hi! Excellent squad. Not sure yet on Laporte’s replacement. Wish we had more games to see how City will cope without Laporte. For example, can Otamendi be a good option?
Another idea might be a cheaper defender (Burnley/Brighton) that rotates with Lundstram. This could potentially allow an upgrade in a different position if needed in the future.

Hi Bruno,
Hope you are doing well. I am thinking about below transfers but can’t decide which one
1) Wilson and maddison to Ayew and KDB. I will play 4-4-2 with Ayew and pukki as my strike force
2) WBA and Dendonker to Kelly and James. Kelly will primarily be my bench player and i will be playing 3-5-2 with james being a 5th midfielder
Let me know your thoughts
Thanks

Hi. 1) KDB is in such great form, one of the top picks for GW5. Don’t know if Ayew can be trusted as a starter in FPL, although he is in great form at the moment. Maddison was unlucky last game, hard to suggest selling him with Leicester looking strong in the attack.
2) James is a tricky one to rate. United haven’t been great at creating chances as a team, but he is the one involved when they do.
If forced to choose, leaning toward building from Option 1. If Ayew doesn’t deliver regularly, then reassess.
