***UPDATE: Two transfers close to deadline: Wan-Bissaka and Mané out for van Dijk and KDB (-4 hit). Not taking a chance in case Newcastle lock things down away as they did versus Spurs already this season. Norwich have no defensive players, I prefer Man City attackers this round. Watching another round of games to assess form and potential, leaving enough flexibility to upgrade any position – defense, midfield, forwards. Still deciding who to sell, Wan-Bissaka or Maguire. Not happy to see Wan-Bissaka at 50%, although he was pictured with the United squad. I might end up taking a chance on Maguire against his former club… Vardy vs. Maguire sounds like a really good time! 🙂
No early transfers. There is a 2-week international break that could see surprise injuries or players benched GW5. Waiting until the press conferences before making any moves, but that doesn’t mean we can’t plan ahead.
I’m considering making another video for GW5 with the top picks and high-risk players to avoid. Can’t wait to watch the rest of the games (except Man United) and do some research. I appreciate your positivity, stay tuned! -Bruno

AwB – Digne – Zinko (Kelly+Lundstram)
Mount – Salah – KDB – Sterling – Cantwell
Rashford – Pukki – (Wickham)
I’m thinking about taking a -8 to sort my Utd issues out.

Hi. Thanks. A few small notes. Don’t know if Ayew can be relied on as a starter in FPL, although it would be harsh if he was dropped on current form.
There’s also a small chance Matip could be rotated with Gomez as we head into the Champions League this month.

Olá. Transfer plan is looking good. The only thing I can add is that GW9 is so far out that the plan could change depending on individual and team form. But it’s always smart to plan ahead so you’re ready with different options. 👍

I need the link for the difficulty ranking to sort out my team. I wasn’t using the fpl one because from the start I knew it was misleading so I created mine which ends on GW5.
Am on 25k (OR) without having any liverpool attacking options and am scared they might come and bite me, whenever Salah or Mane touches the ball am shitting on myself 😂

Hi. I have the same decision for my own team, so I can’t point anyone else in a set direction at the moment. I am curious about the Euro qualifiers. I think Belgium play Scotland in one of their two games.
The worst case would be selling Mane, then De Bruyne doesn’t play for whatever reason. Once the matches are completed, I’ll reassess.

Hi! Not sure yet, need to think it through. It’s possible Pep could play Fernandinho or Walker in the CB spot to cover for Laporte. That’s not the greatest news for Stones. Otamendi should be safer.
I have a love/hate feeling about Otamendi. He’s done well for me before, but there was one season not long ago when he was scoring points regularly, then I bought him and he went on the worst run I’ve ever seen from any player. It was something like 2pts from 6 games. I might have to dig it up, it was so bad it’s almost hard to believe! 🙂
It doesn’t look like Laporte is a required transfer out which is great news, but his price will only fall if he’s out for a long time, and you will have to solve that position eventually.
Don’t know how the loss of Laporte will affect City’s clean sheet potential. Need more time to think it through. 👍

Hi bruno, so sad to see the points last week, hope GW 5 will recover the loss.
I STRONGLY sugget you consider to bring formation 3-5-2 or 3-4-3, use 3 defender which are zinchenko-digne-van dijk, or TAA-zinchenko-digne or AWB-TAA-Digne (defender with high chance of clean sheet and possibilities to score or assist) and you can boost the point on attacking player (midfield and striker) which is scoring goals. More player on the midfielder or forward means you can get more possibilities to get points from scoring goals RATHER than get points just from defender which clean sheet only get 6 points.
Whereas as you can see this season many teams conceeded many goals, it is very hard to rely on defenders. Bring more midfield and striker with high assist possibilities and scoring goals possibilities.

Yes, I agree with your advice. I prefer to invest more in the attack, but at this moment, I have some issues with my backline that I need to solve. After fixing the priorities, I can move to the next upgrade.

I am thinking Ceballos out for D. Silva giving a triple Man City mid unit with Salah and Barnes. I may calm down but you know some risks seem ok early in the season.

First, thank you for all the guidance this season, it’s been a great help for a first time player. We’ll recover over the next few game weeks, like you said, we need a good transfer plan with safeguards in place.
I did WC after week 2 and was able to improve my squad a bit.
I have run a 4 4 2, 4 5 1 and 3 5 2 this year.
Current Squad is (.2 ITB)
Pickford Ryan
AWB, Mina, Keane, VVD, Lundstram
Salah, Sterling, DeBruyne, Cantwell, Douglas Luiz
Barnes, Pukki and Chicharito (i know he is gone and is part of my transfer plan)
Thinking drop 1 Everton defender to cheaper option (Vestergaard or Ward)
Drop Chicharito and get either Haller or Abraham

I might add Lowton to your defenders list for Burnley cover against Pope owners. Close between Haller and Abraham. You can choose either one since you do not have Mason Mount.

I believe this 8pt hit will be worth it in the long run.
Drop Keane for Vestergaard frees up .5
Drop Mina for Lowton frees up 1.0
Drop Chicharito 6.0 for Abraham 7.2 should leave .3 ITB
I am 50/50 on Mount and James, both i think are good upgrades from Douglas Luiz, thats down the road in 2 or 3 game weeks.

With the wildcard, I bought in Alexander Arnorld, Digne, Daniel James, Haller, Pope and Cantwell. All before the price rise.Now I have only 0.2M in the bank.
This is how my team lines up now:-
GK – Pope, Button(bench)
DEF- Digne, Zinchenko, Arnold,.Lundstrum(bench), Kelly(bench)
MID- Salah, Sterling, James, Mount, Cantwell(bench)
FWD- Vardy, Pukki, Haller
Is it solid? What improvements should I make?

If the forwards don’t fire as expected, then you could consider KDB in the midfield.
