HAPPY THANKSGIVING Turning Limitations into Opportunities GW10

Hello Bruno,

Happy to see you explode with 75 points – the little break you took paid off handsomely.

For me, it was a mediocre GW and red arrows after risking Grealish as C, Richarlison instead of DCL, Zaha with COVID and KDB over Fernandes. However, one thing learned from this channel is that setbacks are a given even for the best in FPL and one score doesn’t determine your team as a whole. I have the WC, 1 FT, and 0.7 ITB. The Team is as follows:

GK: Martinez (Miazek)
DEF: Chilwell / James / Coufal / Justin (Douglas)
MID: Grealish / KDB (c) / Son (Zaha) (Bissouma)
FWD: Kane / Richarlison / Jimenez

Transfer plans (with Zaha apparently out due to 10 day self-isolation requirement).
Will also do a quick WC draft but feel that it is better to leave its security for another GW, as my team looks fine without a major overhaul.

1. Straight Swap: Zaha to Maddison (no money for Rodriguez, sadly): Hard to find better value than Zaha in this price range. Leicester have a run of 4 good fixtures incoming (FUL, SHU, BHA, EVE) with 3 home games. I hope Maddison has recovered from the nagging injuries and choose him over Barnes or Tielemans due to him being imo more consistent. It is however unclear if he is going to start over Under – what are your thoghts on this one (Maddison vs Barnes)?

2. Zaha to Maddison and James to Cancelo / PVA: Building on the first transfer, I also kind of want to mix things up in defense. James plays a strong Totenham side, Chelsea fixtures have turned for the worse and I have double Chelsea defense, so a change seems prudent. Cancelo has excellent long-term prospects fixture-wise, seems to bank assist points and is definately an upgrade. PVA would be more of a quick-fix solution with only 2 good fixtures and potentially limited attacking returns potential with Zaha out. Is the -4 hit worth it this GW already, or would you priorise DEF at a later point in time ?

3. Zaha to Rashford and Jimenez to Bamford: Jimenez is sure to get some points against Arsenal imo – their defense plan bodes well for a dynamic striker like him – however ceiling is low. I am doing the swap to Bamford as a way to get into an MUN attack with a premium Rashford option. They have 4 good fixtures in next five, I remain without Fernandes, and Rashford is able to explode with double digit scores against high-line defenses like SOT and LEE. A lot of people in my mini leagues have retained Salah, so I feel an urge to go in a higher price range with Rashford to counter and go on the offensive. However, I am missing out the good Leicester fixture run of Maddison and wonder if the -4 hit is worth it.

Hey man, When can we expect to get the new fixture difficulty sheet

An awful week (42), but at least I have 2 FT to spare (1 left at the moment of writing). Robertson got robbed, West Ham’s defence failed, only Mendy & Chilwell delivered CS points which makes me seriously consider a risky move to triple the defensive forces of Chelsea and substitute Cresswell for Reece James (but then I’m losing Ziyech). I’ve been also considering a defender from either the Spurs or Man City but still unsure. Cancelo would be my first pick, but surprisingly he did not play against Burnley, therefore Walker is more clear. Mourinho on the other hand is also messing up with the squad, and correct me if I’m wrong but it was Reguilon who appeared in the last 4 games.

Klopp’s ridiculous decisions ground my gears, not to mention the VAR comedy and referee clowns (Mane’s goal ruled out, while a penalty for Seagulls was given!). I’ve decided to sell Mane and buy Bruno Fernandes (Man Utd) whilst considering an additional purchase of Cavani soon (tempted to do it now!). Ings is in contention to make a return next Monday against Brighton. Adams blanked so it will be reasonable move to bring in the true leader and scorer of Southampton.

Diogo Jota, too bad I did not captain him, but at least I know I can trust him from now on… Bamford, I have no words what has happened to that golden boy 🙁

Now please tell me what to do in the following days:
1) triple the defence of Chelsea but selling Ziyech for someone else (-4);
2) leave Ziyech since Pulisic returned, and bring Spurs/City defender; not buying Ings yet (cause he might be benched) and counting that Adams will deliver just until the next GW (FT) // additionally I could also pair Adams with Ings (-4);
3) buy Cavani (for Bamford) and bring Spurs/City defender (-4);
