***UPDATE: This is it. I’m experimenting with a new Wildcard strategy – to keep a sizeable amount of money in the bank. Normally, I would maximize the squad strength by using all the funds. If everything goes well, I can improve the squad depth or make small corrections. If it goes wrong, I can use the money to counter Wildcards GW4. I do not recomment this “all-star” bench for anyone. 🙂 It’s a massive risk GW3. If Digne is out, I could be down a player. Trying something new, good luck everyone!!!

*Provisional GW3 Wildcard team. Waiting on the last press conferences before confirming these players. Salah returns to the squad in place of KDB. Maguire and Martial also come in.
*The questions about the bench… sorry about that! 🙂 I don’t have one, I’m going with the cheapest bench players. This frees up the maximum ITB funds to match up against Wildcards GW4. Super risky, never really tried this before on an early Wildcard. Digne might not even play which could leave me a player short GW3.
*I am keeping an eye on price changes here: http://fplstatistics.com/ I may swap out some of the players in my team temporarily by staying up-to-date on the price changes. For example, I’ve brought in KDB for Salah, but I will likely have Salah in my team by deadline.
*Lucas Digne looks to be back in training.
*We also need an update on Lucas Digne who was forced off with a hamstring injury.

A few tricky fixtures for your players GW4, but you might not be alone. Many strong FPL managers could be in a similar situation. Best of luck for the rest of the round.

I hope you are well.
Despite green arrows so far, Man U’s poor performance has made me reconsider my Man U players.
Like you, I have AWB , Maguire and Martial. I was thinking of upgrading my Man U defenders at least and/or either Martial/Ceballos, with possible early transfers before price changes. Am I knee jerking, or did Man U’s performance just look flat with limited potential.
The above midspot replacements I am looking at replacing one with either Mount or Cantwell, both whose prices could go up soon.
The defender spots, Im looking at a Liverpool defender, possibly VVD and a Man City defender, possibly, Laporte as nailed on(already have Zinchenco).
Your thoughts, are any of the aforementioned good early transfer options tonight or would you suggest rather waiting until deadline day to make and reassess any transfers?

Hi. Man United did a good job keeping Palace quiet for most of the game, the goals were completely against the run of play. Individual defensive mistakes cost them, but that’s not an excuse. They had to do better. Martial, key refereeing decisions didn’t go his way this time. Need an update on the possible injury.
Ceballos I’m most worried about. He went from a 10/10 the previous game to a 1/10. Lucky to make it to 60min and I’m not sure he starts next week.
Mount was brilliant. Great potential for the price, which could go up quickly as you mentioned. *EDIT: This might be an early transfer to consider.
Cantwell can also work. Small note, Norwich play Man City GW5.
The only Liverpool defenders I’d recommend are Robertson and TAA. But I might prefer if they were delivering big points for their price before making that jump back. Laporte could work well, let’s see how they do tomorrow.

I also joined the WC train early but very disappointed with my 15pts in the second round of GW. I am still bottom of my friends mini league despite others not using their WC, which is embarassing to say the least. Here is my WC situation, Kane, Stirling, KDB, Laporte, Patricio haven’t played yet and i used my GW4 FT on Barnes to Pukki after his Chelsea performance. And here is the current GW team.

I am worried about the Man UTD additions; even more so that Martial is injured, Ceballos’ recent poor performance and probably Kane, if he doesn’t produce many goals now that Son is back and playmaker Eriksen is rumoured to leave. Should i take a -4 hit next GW on one of these players or am i being too irrational and just be patient until GW6 where i have 2FTs. Any help would be great 👍.

Hi Tobias. The Wildcard was such a hit or miss for many people. Hopefully Sunday brought you more points.
Sterling and KDB are set as key premium players. Martial we need an update. If he’s fit, I would keep him as he has looked dangerous, unlucky last game with refereeing decisions, but he also has high ownership in the #Elite64 league.
Ceballos was poor and I discuss him on the new video that should be up in an hour or so. I’m worried he might not start next game after that performance, and the performance of Torreira who scored.
Kane is the difficult question. I haven’t had a proper chance to watch the games from the weekend, I’ve been so busy with creating content.
But would I rather have Salah over Kane? Yes. The reason is because I trust Liverpool’s offese to deliver in the attack almost every time. Tottenham’s attack can be hot or cold.
I would look at Ceballos, but Kane could possiblt have to wait another week. The reason is Martial. If he is fit, then you could make some deep surgery. Don’t be embarrassed, I talk about this on the video. It’s not your fault the players didn’t deliver. Plus, I sold PVA, so imagine how I feel! 🙂

Hey Bruno,
Ceballos’ problem at Real Madrid was inconsistency. He certainly has the talent and skill, but erratic performances.
I personally had a good GW with 58 points with Sterling and Walker still to play. Under 65k in overall ranking. Captained Salah against odds and it did pay off. The last minute Arsenal goal took away 3 CS from me.
I’m concerned about the International Break and how my team pans out. If things are bad I would go for the WC, otherwise I guess I got a team decent enough for the next 4-5 fixtures.
Zaha and Perez has been a disappointment for me.

Hi, which teams do you look at Elite64? Because I reckon you don’t necessarily take the top teams that lead now, because like stocks – it only tells you who have been luck and good in the past, not who will be good in the future.

Hi. I don’t look at the top ones, you’re right. I have a personal list of strong FPL managers with winning records. Some are active on social media, others aren’t.
I don’t want to reveal their names because it feels a bit invasive, but I want others to have access to my list. I’ve been working on a solution, hopefully finish it during the international break. You won’t be able to see their names, but maybe can see their teams or players, or the player ownership stats from my personal list.

Ohh gotta ask. Did you watch the United game? I have suggested Cantwell myself to others, and getting a small doubt about whether Martial or Cantwell would be the best, taking into account it is a 3m difference. Know Cantwell probably cant keep it up, at least Martial have higher changes to score more point due to better team, but still…

Martial was unlucky not to score, refereeing decisions went against him this time. Cantwell and Norwich in general didn’t look as threatening in the attack as I would’ve hoped, but Chelsea are a good team.
Cantwell has good potential GW4, then GW5 is trickier vs. Man City.
