***UPDATE: This is it. I’m experimenting with a new Wildcard strategy – to keep a sizeable amount of money in the bank. Normally, I would maximize the squad strength by using all the funds. If everything goes well, I can improve the squad depth or make small corrections. If it goes wrong, I can use the money to counter Wildcards GW4. I do not recomment this “all-star” bench for anyone. 🙂 It’s a massive risk GW3. If Digne is out, I could be down a player. Trying something new, good luck everyone!!!

*Provisional GW3 Wildcard team. Waiting on the last press conferences before confirming these players. Salah returns to the squad in place of KDB. Maguire and Martial also come in.
*The questions about the bench… sorry about that! 🙂 I don’t have one, I’m going with the cheapest bench players. This frees up the maximum ITB funds to match up against Wildcards GW4. Super risky, never really tried this before on an early Wildcard. Digne might not even play which could leave me a player short GW3.
*I am keeping an eye on price changes here: http://fplstatistics.com/ I may swap out some of the players in my team temporarily by staying up-to-date on the price changes. For example, I’ve brought in KDB for Salah, but I will likely have Salah in my team by deadline.
*Lucas Digne looks to be back in training.
*We also need an update on Lucas Digne who was forced off with a hamstring injury.

I like this team. Another idea is to go super cheap instead of Andone and bank that money. This could allow you to counter managers who will use their Wildcards GW4.

Can’t tell yet at this stage. They get their points in different ways. KDB is nice and consistent, Mane gets them in bunches.

I’m also on a wildcard. Your wild card team is quite brave- relaying a lot on Man U, with 3 players and double defence. But the upside could be huge. Interesting strategy.

Hi. I know, no going back now! At least we can always work back to a safer strategy if it goes wrong.
Options 1, 3 and 4 feel strong. I’m drawn to Option 4, but you know the risks.
Ndombele being out changes things a little for Spurs, but not much because their bench is strong. Newcastle raised their level in away games last season, but that was last season. Will Newcastle be as resilient without Rafa Benitez? They were solid GW1, not so much GW2. Hard to tell.
One of the reasons I didn’t move for Kane was because at his price, I’m aiming at teams that deliver consistently in the attack – Liverpool and Man City.
GW3? Anything can happen. Spurs have a great opportunity and I can make a case for Kane being the top pick GW3.

It’s strong. Can’t go wrong already. The only suggestion could be whether to go with Barnes or reinvest the money at the back like Digne or Wan-Bissaka. That is up to you! 🙂

Thank you, I appreciate that. But I make mistakes. Sometimes I experiment with new ideas which can backfire. Then I use that experience for the future.
I went with Gallahger as the final cheap forward because his price appears to be locked according to http://fplstatistics.com/ Not sure if that’s the case.
Your team looks set. It’s very similar to one of my favorite drafts. The midfield is a monster. There is the risk of 2x United defenders, but they looked solid overall away at Wolves last week.
The concern with this draft might be the pressure it puts on 2x Norwich attackers to score. Then again, Norwich scored the most goals in the Championship last season, and most away goals. They’ve also scored against two PL opponents this season.
No major concerns. Potential for big points, hope it all works out. Good luck!

Hi Bruno,
Have seen no further reason to pull the trigger on WC. Made 2 free transfers, Robbo > AWB and Fraser > KDB, at the beginning of this week. Found a solution for the “LDD-Lunny-King-dilemma” just a few hours ago: it’s gonna be Greenwood :D! Neither of the “dilemma-subs” is going to score a lot of points, as I see it. This Mason could wel get some more minutes from Ole – victory sealed – to shine against a shaky Palace defence. If it’s just the one point cameo, I’m not too bothered, the “dilemma-subs” will not score much more. But, IF he shines indeed, it could repeat my “Lunny-luck” of last GW from Mason, this time ;). Just one ‘gamble’ on a furthermore solid team, can’t do that much harm . . .

Hi Wouter. Yes, can see your strategy. AWB and KDB are strong players for GW3 and the future.
Strong team overall. Greenwood! If he starts, you could make out well.
Zinchenko should be set to start this week, but Mendy and Cancelo might become threats soon. Not an immediate risk. Jota needs to save his goals for the league!

Not sure. Player prices started to change early in the week. For example I bought Wan-Bissaka before he went up £0.1m. That might be the reason.
