Hi Bruno
I hope you are well. Well done on the green arrow, buddy. Only 3 more gameweeks until the World Cup!
I had a decent GW13, struck it lucky with double Leicester defence( Ward and Castagne 😍) for a 59% green arrow to 23k OR, after 2 weeks of red arrows.
I am seeing GW14- GW16 as one set of fixtures before World Cup break, so planning my team based on that.
My current team is as follows:
Pope;(Ward)
Andersen, Trippier, Doherty, (Patterson);(Castagne)
Zaha, Salah, Foden, Martinelli, (Andreas)
Haaland, Mitrović, Kane
Bank: 0.1m
GW14 Options:
Plan 1-Mitrovic➡️Toney
Pope➡️Raya(-4)
Plan 2-Zaha➡️Saka
Pope➡️Raya(-4)
Plan 3-Mitrovic➡️Darwin/DCL
Zaha ➡️Saka(-4)
Plan 4-Roll transfer
1)Plan 1 is my favourite, as Toney has been on form at home and plays Wolves and Forest next. Would shift him to Scamacca in GW16 when Toney has City.
This allows me to get rid of Mitro before City & United in GW15 & GW16. Also keep Zaha ahead of his favourable fixtures.
2)Plan 2 is good, if atttacking Arsenal fixtures. However will Saka and Mitro outscore Zaha and Toney?
3)Plan 3 is more of a punt, high risk, high reward transfers with explosive players, targeting fixtures. Darwin has a huge ceiling.
4)Plan 4 is the safe boring option, that could allow Plan 1 or Plan 2 in GW15 without a hit. However, does this reduce the points potential if not targetting GW14 fixtures as well?
Decisions,Decisions🤔.
Your valued feedback on my team and the above options & your recommendation/ranking on the most optimal transfer plan would be appreciated.

Just a correction to Plan 3, it is Zaha ➡️Almiron(not Saka).

Hi. Thanks. This season is going by quickly! Can’t believe it’s almost the World Cup break.
Congrats on Ward and Castagne and an amazing OR at this stage 👍
The main question is selling Mitrovic when he and Fulham are scoring. I can see Mitro bullying Pickford GW14 :). Noted your correction for Plan 3, not much difference between Saka and Almiron this season! Still the big question could be selling Mitrovic for a hit when only two players have more goals this season, Haaland and Kane.
DCL is on my Watchlist, I’d like to watch another game. Darwin is a top pick and my Kane backup plan, although I intend on keeping Kane into the WC.
Plan 1) Mitrovic and Toney could score similar points this round. Goalkeepers, the edge would go to Brentford as Wolves are struggling to score and now Diego Costa is a doubt. Newcastle will be up against a motivated Villa side under a new manager.
Plan 2) Same as Plan 1. Attackers similar potential (hard to predict Zaha), small advantage Raya.
Plan 3) This is more like my playing style – Darwin – but there is a risk with Liverpool’s recent form and dropping Zaha who I have never been able to assess properly.
Plan 4) Liking this option as all the players involved have good scoring potential GW14.
They’re all pretty even for me, so it’s up to you. You mentioned future fixtures, so with transfers now you might sneak ahead of the curve.
Other minor notes are to put some pressure on Doherty and Zaha, maybe Andersen, although at least he’s closer to scoring from set pieces than Guehi!
Those are some thoughts for now. Thanks!

Thanks a lot Bruno for your insights.
It will definitely help my thought process, before I finalise my team.
Now just the captaincy to sweat over and whether Haaland plays or not….hoping for some reliable early team news.
Good luck for GW14 Bruno, wishing you big green arrows 👍🏼.

Hey Bruno, hope you’re well =)
Glad to see you’re on the rise in OR, I know as an FPL expert it may not be easy to share a rank you’re not totally happy with but in all honesty I think 1.4mil OR is a great rank to work from at this stage of the season. I think this season is the hardest to climb the ranks in because the player base is the largest it’s ever been and the growing number of people that are looking for experts advice, just means the competition is as difficult as ever. Also Haaland is breaking captaincy gains lol. For me I was in a terrible spot with a badly timed risky WC in GW6 but I took you’re advice in GW8 and made a mini WC with 4 transfers (-8pts), changed strategy too with threemium forwards and I’ve had steady gains in OR from 3.5mil to 1.8mil.
I’m surprised to see so many people suggest Salah as an alternative captain to Haaland. Personally I’m wanting him out my team as I don’t think he justifies his price tag. My transfer plan for GW14 was originally Salah & Justin/Smith OUT -> mid priced MID & Cancelo IN (-4pts) but my team is in a strong position already so I decided I could wait to swap around premiums and did Aaronson -> Almiron instead. I’ve wanted Aaronson out for a while and Almiron/Newcastle are in incredible form right now, so I thought I would get in on Miggy before the price rises.
As I’ve delayed Salah -> Cancelo to GW15 I have a couple questions.
Q1: Is it worth doing (-4pts) to bring in Cancelo even though the World Cup is only a couple GWs away? Without Cancelo I’d have a backline of Trippier, Justin, Smith but Perisic and White on the bench, so not the strongest but I can get by. I have a strong team for GW16 so it’ll be easy enough to wait an extra week to bring in Cancelo without the extra points cost.
Q2: I’m not very caught up on GW13 highlights so which mid-high priced MIDs do you feel is top of the shopping list? Bear in mind that my midfield currently is Foden, Martinelli, Almiron, Andreas and my budget is £10mil. But I’m not keen on owning 2 Arsenal MIDs and I can’t have another City MID if I want Cancelo. My Fixture Difficulty Spreadsheet is heavily pushing West Ham at me for GW15/16 (is yours the same?) so Bowen could be an option, although I’ve seen he’s an injury doubt so that’ll be irritating if he is injured. Is it still worth thinking about the popular GW12 targets like Maddison/Zaha/Trossard? Am I failing to see someone obvious? Is Antony a great asset to have or has his one foot preference already been found out? I’ll stop rambling lol but as you can tell I’m a little lost on this.
Hopefully Haaland is fit to play. Seen Ben Dinnery saying the flu around camp should be past now but that “foot knock” is likely a band of pain around the top of the foot and will probably persist in the game against Leicester. Unless I hear otherwise my Captaincy is on Haaland with Mitrovic as Vice but I can totally see a 1 pointer from Haaland this time eeeekkkk.
Wishing you green arrows,
RedGreg.

Hey, doing well thanks. That Overall Rank graph on the video showed progress which made me feel a little better about being in the millionaires club haha.
I think I’m more of an experienced FPL manager than expert. I take too many wild risks as experiments to be an expert. 🙂
You’re right about this season. I noticed a big drop in people asking to rate their team. For example, inexperienced managers might’ve owned defensive budget midfielders and I would suggest Andreas. Now, everyone already knows to get Andreas with the popular template and influencers and so much content.
I’m glad the strategy is helping your team climb the ranks. At least it’s moving in the right direction!
Can see your point with Salah. Something has changed in that he has more work defensively to help the right side that teams have been targeting.
Liking the transfer. Leeds work hard, but they are struggling. Almiron and Newcastle are hot right now.
Q1: Cancelo is a tricky one. He gets his points all at once, so it’s hard to predict when that happens. He was subbed at halftime in Europe midweek, I don’t know what that means anymore with Pep.
Q2: I watched some games and all the highlights. I added all my match notes to this blog post just above the comments section. Top of the list could be Maddison who I wanted to include on my Watchlist on the video, but forgot. Man City GW14 is a tricky one of course. At his price point, Odegaard could be an interesting differential if Saka becomes popular with the experts. Can see your point with double Arsenal after their last two performances. Bowen is an injury doubt as you mentioned, and hasn’t been as close to scoring from open play. West Ham fixtures are good, maybe not amazing with Leicester improving defensively. That could change with a bad result vs City GW14! The Original cheatsheet shows orange for West Ham GW15-GW16. I’ve never been great assessing Zaha. Trossard and Brighton can go through spells without scoring, could work when in form. Antony is interesting, I’ll keep a closer eye on him as I haven’t been following United as much recently.
Armband is on Haaland unless there is reliable info that he’s not starting. Even then, Haaland could score big from the bench against a tired defense.
Good luck!
-Bruno
