Hey. Plans are unchanged for now. I’m set on getting Doherty this week as a priority, possibly Alonso as a gamble.
Auba or Saka would require hits now, then again before their blank GW31. As it stands, I may have 10-11 players available BGW31 without needing a Wildcard or chip. I plan on using the chips in the DGWs involving more teams and players later in the season.
Aubameyang has two red fixtures according to our cheatsheet, including West Ham who played well in their last two. I wouldn’t know who to drop from my starting XI this week to play Saka. Cutting a forward is even more difficult.
I’m hesitant to sell Ings who looked sharp when he came on, no sign of injury, and has two good fixtures. Up to you with Ings, his blanks are adding up.
Sticking to the original plan, KDB for the double, and will accept a lower score this round in order to maximize points over the next 3 Fixtures.
Your team, priorities and plan could be different, so trust your instinct if you want to go for it. 👍

Hi. Team is in good shape overall. One note is Vardy needs to be 100% fit with a great fixture this week. If we get news that he isn’t 100%, then it’s easier to swap him out for Auba with a DGW.
As far as the TC chip… it’s such an important decision that can go really well, or backfire completely as we saw with Salah vs. Mane DGW24. Luck plays a big role with this chip. I’m afraid of suggesting one thing, then that player does the opposite! Using the TC chip in a smaller DGW like GW29 is a reasonable strategy. KDB has a high points ceiling, playing in a strong attacking side. The smallest concern is rotation. No one is safe from Pep roulette and City is in the middle of a busy schedule.
I noticed our cheatsheet lists WHU and MCI as red fixtures for Arsenal attackers GW29. As it stands, my plan is to go with just KDB.
It depends on what you’re feeling. Whether to gamble, or play it safer. I may take some risks this round, but in a different way with 4 premium defenders TAA, Robertson, Doherty, Alonso.
Those are the thoughts, up to you for the final decisions. 👍

Hi Bruno,
Very low scoring gameweek indeed for everyone. I managed to get 37 points and small green arrow. I was thinking about augero to vardy last gw but your note on vardy possibly not starting really helped me avoiding that transfer. Instead i went with Hayden to Barnes, which didn’t work out as planned. With city and arsenal double game week announced and my ranking being around 600k, please suggest me your input on my below thoughts. I have mahrez and augero from city and no arsenal players
1) Get Auba for Augero and captain Auba
2) Get Auba for Aguero and Pepe for Mahrez for -4. Reasoning behind this is that, there is very low chance of augero and mahrez starting both games. Auba and pepe, on the otherhand, will most likely start both games. With pepe ownership being so low, it will be a great differential.
3) Augero —> Auba and Mahrez —> KDB for -8. Need to downgrade Ings to someone like Jota to afford this move
4) Keep both Augero and Mahrez and bank a transfer. Would definitely pay off if both of them start both games 🙂

Hi. Sorry to hear that. Not getting easier, De Bruyne could miss out with a shoulder injury.
One idea is to find a compromise to maximize points between now and including the blank GW31. Strong Liverpool and Wolves players should be high on the list, although you might be able to bring them in while spreading out transfer hits.

*Players on the chopping block. Value replacements at the back are Lascelles (blank GW31) or Charlie Taylor BUR (tricky fixtures now, plays GW31). If you make a switch up top downgrading premium for a cheaper striker like Jota, you might be able to upgrade a weaker defender to Doherty.
Martial, Firmino and Vardy aren’t 100% safe. Aubameyang is an option for the DGW. Your team’s structure with more expensive forwards allows you to move for Auba more easily. It’s harder for my team because my forwards are cheaper. I don’t know whether Vardy will be fit, so it’s harder to set that position.
I can tell you my current GW29 plan. I will most likely go for Doherty and Alonso for a hit in place of £3.9m Reid and Jack Stephens.
I’m having a tough time setting my own team after a few outcomes in the FA cup went against my plans. And now KDB… 🙂
See if you can draw up some ideas with these players in mind. 👍

I am very tempted to do Ings to Auba and Mahrez to Saka for -4. Whatcha think of the move? Very expensive front line but since KDB will likely be out against United, is it a punt worth taking.

Ola Afonso. That’s a difficult one. I had the chance to bring in the same Arsenal players, but I’m going with premium defenders instead. In my case, I wanted to take a chance and didn’t want to bring in two players for hits, only to sell them again for more hits before their blank GW31.
I’m accepting a lower score GW29 in order to maximize totals over the next 2-3 Gameweeks.
As far as KDB, it’s possible Guardiola anticipated Solskjaer would be up to his usual tricks with injuries (Martial last week), so he threw the first punch with KDB. These silly games from the managers have a huge impact for us in fantasy.
Ings and Mahrez have good scoring potential this week, so it’s not easy.
Liking the future transfer plan that works toward the blank GW31 while freeing up funds.
I’m stuck on this close decision, sorry! Trust your instinct. If you end up making the transfers, it’s possible our teams could end up scoring similar points in different ways. 👍

I have wildcard, free hit and bench boost left, my plan was to use free hit in next DGW, and then use wildcard the round before the next DGW, and then bench boost in the DGW. But now im reading that there might only be one big DGW. What are your thoughts? Do you think there will be only one or two more? If there is only one left, im thinking i might just use the free hit this round or for GW31

Hi. The source I use for the chips is @BenCrellin on Twitter. From what I know at this point, we will likely have at least two more DGWs in addition to DGW29. One featuring up to four teams DGW34, and a bigger one DGW37 (8-12 teams).
I usually prefer not to say when others should use their chips because we can see a big range of results. The chips introduce an element of luck which is out of our control.
My current plan is to save the WC+FH+BB for later in the season. In my experience, that bigger DGW around GW37 has potential for 100+ scores with lots of teams to choose from, some fighting for a Champions League spot, others to avoid relegation.
This season is more difficult to plan with the chips, so trust your instinct as my plan may not work as intended.

I might not say it’s risky, Auba has a good chance with two games. I considered all the factors including the two red fixtures on the cheatsheet. That was part of the reason why I’m experimenting with a different strategy – four premium defenders, no Arsenal.
Nothing wrong with Aubameyang. It’s more about choosing the players I really wanted, and my team structure also made it harder to bring in a premium forward. Others with Firmino or Vardy can make that switch more easily.
I’m also loading up for the bigger blank GW31. Since I plan on navigating that round without a chip, Arsenal players required hits to buy/sell between now and then. The players I’m getting this week could stay for the long-run.
My captain is most likely Salah. I had him set as the main captain even before the KDB news, although I did flip once or twice! 🙂
I like your style with TAA. Keep in mind that Liverpool play in the first game, so we could have lineup leaks 1 hour to 10 minutes before deadline. That could help set the captaincy. A source for lineup leaks is @FPL_Rockstar on Twitter, which you might’ve seen mentioned on the videos.

KDB, Salah, Martial (Dendoncker, Barnes)
Jiminez, Ings, Auba
I have WC, BB, TC and FH available so a lot of flexibility.
Firstly I am wondering with the new game week announcements, both double and blank, your chip strategy?
Secondly is my transfer. I’m tempted by Martial to Mahrez or d.silva in light of KDB potential injuries. I like the look of Doherty as well but unsure where to squeeze him in (most likely Gomez). It’s the first time I have been truly stuck on what to do. Any help would be much appreciated!
