Hi bruno,
Really interested to see your early wildcard. Just a few questions tho: of the two who would you prioritise and see having a greater points ceiling: pukki or barnes. Also, who would you advise to pick as a priority: ceballos or mcginn. Thank you in advance. Great video

Hi. Pukki. Barnes might not make my Wildcard team by deadline.
Tie between Ceballos and McGinn. Both do everything I like to see in an attacking mid. Their prices are ridiculous.
Thanks -Bruno

Hey Bruno. I would say I’m really shocked by your wc lol. I thought you had a great team. And siggy might give you points next gw. Plus pukki fixtures really hard now. Would love for you to explain in detail why you made this decision.

Hey. Me too! Haha. Know what you mean with Siggy. Mane is so good though and Siggy’s price wasn’t making things easier.
You’re right about Pukki’s fixtures. Although I felt he was unlucky not to score more against Liverpool who are strong defensively, or at least should be!
I will explain myself in the next video, the early Wildcard.

Not sure if this is the best way that early in season.
LFC GK made lot of good saves before that stupid mistake. But Allison made big mistake last season too.
You was right about Mané+Robertson. Robertson had another big chance and Mané is warrior, for me bigger than Salah.
I think stay with two LFC defenders until GW8 is good option (before MUN, TOT, -, MCI). Robertson + van Dijk. I don’t like TAA short corner kicks.
Pukki is hot pick, but next game vs. CHE.
I think one of free transfer can be Barnes (for a Wilson) – GW4 againts LFC but then very nice schedule.
And second free transfer I personally use propably on Fraser (I draft him on start).
Not sure which one I select yet.
But I think just calm down and think about it few days. There are three more games this week. Too early to judge and pick up a wild card.

You make great points, I’ve considered many of them. 2x Liverpool defenders and 2x Bournemouth didn’t feel right. Plus Mane is a warrior like you said.
It is a risky strategy. We’ll see how it turns out.
Thank you for posting your thoughts. 👍

Hey Bruno,
I am also thinking about an early Wildcard
I may exchange Zinchenko for Wan Bissaka; Salah for Mane; Richarlison for KDB; Barkley for Ndombele; Dendoncker for Pogba (depends on how he will play GW2); Wilson and King for Pukki and Barnes; Robertson for Kelly and play 3-5-2
What do you think about it?
Btw. we nearly have the same team 🙂

Hey. I like all your moves. It’s amazing, I will have to consider some of these players into my plans.

Olá Bruno
this is my wildcard team :
Ryan
VVD Digne (waiting for injurie info) Montoya/Dunk ? Zinchenko
Sterling De Bruyne Mane Martial
Pukki Rashford
With the united boys I want to see their match first .
Players under watchlist :
Pereira Coleman Emerson
Ndombele Lucas Lamela
Barnes

Olá. I have Dunk in for now, but he and a few other players might not be there by deadline.
Perfect midfielders and forwards. Man United’s performance on Monday is crucial, I have the same attackers on my Watchlist.
Excellent watchlist. 👍 Maybe Lamela I’ve had a harder time trusting, he can sometimes be hot or cold and not always start regularly. But he can work when he’s in great form.

Hey bruno,
Awesome music intro as always! I personally feel it is a good time to wildcard. I rate Mane more over Salah. Almost every team will mark him down and he doesnt have strength. I think i will swap out Salah with either KDB, Pogba or Martial but just like last season, Salah will be fire towards the end. What do you think? Is it to early to take out Salah. I dun feel secure with his current performance.

Hey. Thanks! Glad you like it. 👍 That’s a good point with Mane vs. Salah. It’s true sometimes Mane escapes the defenders’ radar.
I will most likely keep Salah against Arsenal and will explain my thoughts in detail on the next video in a few days. But I’ve brought in KDB in his place temporarily since I posted the video.
Looking forward to watching the rest of the games, especially Pogba and Martial as you mentioned.

I have notice that you don’t have any Man City defenders. They have a great run of fixtures and tend to pick up clean sheets. What do you think of having laporte instead of AWB. Then have dendocker instead of mcginn?
Also with Dunk and Ryan you have double Brighton defenders. So is there any £4.5mil replacements for one of these two that you would suggest?

Great point with Man City defenders. I like Laporte, but his price can make it difficult to bring other players I also want.
AWB and a few other players might only in this Wildcard team temporarily.
I hope you or anyone can help me out with a £4.5m defender replacement. Dunk is not confirmed to stay in this squad, so I will be researching options this week.

Hey,
This seems like an emotional decision because of the low scoring GW. You had banked on the previous transfer. You should’ve waited until the all the fixtures are over. With 2 transfers remaining, you could’ve afforded to wait with the no effect of the price changes.
Liverpool lost their clean sheet due to Adrian’s stupidity. The defense did look solid especially in the second half with only one real threat in the 85th minute from Southampton. The players seemed fatigued and they lacked quality in the final third, missing chances. Salah looked especially winded missing a simple one on one. So switching from the 2 LIV defenders to 2 Salah and Mane may be an overkill.
KDB is to watch for in ManC. He is on hot form getting involved in more than half of ManC’s attack.
Pukki seems like a no brainer though they are facing Chelsea and ManC within a span of 3 weeks.
Siggy simply hasn’t impressed and been performing poor for the 8M price tag though their next 4 fixtures are interesting.
I would wait for the ManU match against Wolves to decide on whether I should look at any ManU players. If at all I’m currently interested in Martial who is playing upfront as a striker. He should be an easy switch for Siggy.
It is indeed interesting on how what’s going in the Elite64. One trend I have seen is that the managers who went for differentials this week seemed to reap points. With the total average of just 40 among them, I don’t think it is still time to panic.
Just my thoughts!

Hey. I can see your point. It’s interesting though that I didn’t even look at my score until after the Wildcard. I knew I had done well enough against direct competitors. I know which players they own that can hurt my rank.
I guess we will have to wait and find out whether the switch to two LFC attackers was the right decision. 👍
Great scouting on KDB. I’ve brought him in, but don’t know if he will stay in my Wildcard squad.
Good point on Pukki.
Siggy already had good fixtures, so it wasn’t easy.
We have the same plan with United players.
Certainly no time to panic. I’ve used an early Wildcard in 12 out of 12 seasons and so far I’m happy with the decision.
Great comment. We agree and disagree on some things, but I like your explanations.

Good Morning Bruno,
I was considered ‘Wildcarding’ as the games were developing yesterday, Although I had convinced myself that this is too early to do so and was merely a knee-jerk reaction which cost me many points as previous seasons.
This is my first season I have tried to give FPL a calm and considered approach and not base selections on so many niche picks and differentials. I am intrigued to see you have decided to play your Wildcard.
My initial Team is similar to yours with the exception of Wan Bissaka & Rico, for PVA and Lundstram.
My nailed on transfer is Cellebos in for Siggy, I’m sure siggy will come good, but that £2.5 could come in handy elsewhere.
I want to wait to see how Perez does, but I was excited by KDB’ performance yesterday, and Son returning – it will be a toss up on those three, if it is with the latter two – will mean Salah would have to go along with Robertson to free up funds.
Pukki looks good, but my only concern – will it last? can a striker that was promoted the previous season do the business? but at 6.7..tempting – and Barnes at 6.6 could be good value with the run of fixtures after the next two game weeks
I have not committed to playing the Wildcard just yet, but I have played around and have come up with the following, but i’m not so convinced just yet
Ryan, Button: Wan Bissaka, Dunk, Digne, Coleman, VVD: Dendonker, Mane, Sterling, Ceballos, Son: Rashford, Barnes, Greenwood.

Good morning. I’ve used an early Wildcard in 12 out of 12 seasons and I’ve had a few that didn’t quite work out. 🙂
Great points on Ceballos and Siggy. I may not be ready to sell Salah just yet, but KDB and Son are hard to ignore.
Know what you mean with Pukki, we will have to wait to find out. Barnes and a few other players could be in this Wildcard team temporarily.
Bournemouth have been disappointing. I’ll take the points from the penalty GW2, but I need to be confident in the team to bet on their players.
Your team is strong. 👍 I appreciate the comment.
