Ola Bruno
Polar opposite game weeks see me rack up 85 points ! very pleased with that. As always you have to keep calm and keep improving thats my thinking after a bad gw1! searching for some consistency now.
I see a few weaknesses in my team firstly 2 injuries in Branthwaite and Saint Maximin.
Then unsure about Mitchells starts going forward. Mcarthy and walker peters im okay with walker peters beacuse he has some assist potential watching him in an eye test looking almost as good was Lamptey who is looking verry good!!, then there is Lacelles just unsure about him was hopng for more corner goal threat.
I have made one transfer (auba to kdb) already thinking of a hit maybe 2 hits for saint maximin and a defender most likely brantwaite.
i lost some value on kdb got him at 11.6 and now saint has gone down so thats frustrating but not worried about price rises to much just frustrating when we cant afford a player by 0.1m lol.
in summary who should i get for maximin – or should i go for a defender or should i go for both.
Mcarthy
Trent/KWP/Lascelles/Mitchell/Brantwhaite/
Mane/KDB/SON/Peireira/Saint
Rucharlison/Werner/Davis.
zero free transfers left. 0.9m in the bank.
thanks all the best for gw3 !

Ola. Wow that’s a score 85pts. 👍 Yes, agree with the weaker links in your second paragraph.
Price changes are a factor, but in general, it’s best to wait until we have all the information from the press conferences. I got a bit excited this week and went way overboard! I also didn’t expect Everton to put out a strong cup team midweek, then KDB went down with a head injury in stoppage time. He played on, but I was worried.
If you make a move, I might say Saint-Maximin could be most at risk in your team. Ben Dinnery on Twitter suggested he doesn’t expect ASM (or Jamal Lewis) to make it for GW3. I still don’t have the best assessment for defenders, need more games and information. There are quite a few viable midfielders in ASM’s price range.
Here are a few mids from my Watchlist in the video (near the end), low price to high: Podence, Diangana, Pereira, Foden, Harvey Barnes.
Good luck!

Hi Bruno, greetings from Wales.
Love all the content and thoughtful videos.
Well GW2 was a complete disaster for me only netting 44 pts after selling Son to bring in Fernades.
my GW2 team was
GK – McCarthy (Nyland)
DEF – TAA, Justin, Egan ( Douglas, Mitchell)
MID – Aubameyang, Salah, Fernandes, Ward-Prowse (Bissouma)
FWD – Mitrovic, Werner, Adams
It all looked so good in the first 44 mins of Southampton v Spurs and the only side looking like scoring were Southampton. Adams again had some good chances, but I feel he hasn’t got the killer instinct to convert the chances into goals.
My original plan before the red cards hit my team was to move Aubameyang to KDB, but now I feel more radical surgery is needed. I am reluctant to burn the wildcard just yet as the impact of Covid could lead to some games getting cancelled and more blanks and double gameweeks than usual around the corner.
So my thinking is Aubameyang to KDB and Egan to Saiss. I’e left too much time pass already and lost out on some price changes.
Really appreciate your thought on this.
Finally – what are your thoughts on the return of my countryman Gareth Bale to Spurs, will you be selecting him?
Best wishes and keep safe.

What’s up. Appreciate that, thank you. I was afraid of Fernandes as a non-owner and I can understand the move after that shocking second half from Spurs GW1. It was one of those decisions that didn’t come off this time, but it had reasoning behind it.
You’re spot on about Southampton vs. Spurs. They were the better side for long spells. Adams was unlucky, but it’s similar with Soucek for my team. I can’t wait forever for players to get their shooting boots on, and prices are changing quickly.
I would agree on saving the Wildcard. We will have more surprises, especially with players going away on international duty.
The transfer plan makes perfect sense. My original transfers were KDB and Saiss. Then Egan’s red card combined with an impulse early transfer for DCL opened up an improvement to Soucek’s position. That’s the only reason why I went for Mitchell instead of Saiss (you already have Mitchell anyway). Saiss is high on my Watchlist and could be in very soon.
Love Bale. I’ll wait to see how he settles back in, but it is promising with Kane in the #10 role and Bale timing his runs into the box behind defenders. Doesn’t even have to be those sprints he used to make, he will score when he has a chance.
You too, thanks for the comment.

Hi Bruno
I hope you are well.
Another awesome video. Thanks for all your exciting content and tips. After a reasonable GW1 with 69 points had a disappointing GW2 with 48 points, at 2.5m OR currently.
After some careful thought, I decided to hit the wildcard button.
While its not ideal, I see it as high risk, high reward time to attack for early points and catch.price rises.
Jesus is out this week.
Heres my wildcard team options:
Option 1:
Martinez, ( Forster)
James, Sais, Dunne, ( Konsa), ( Lamptey)
Salah, De Bruyne, Sterling, Podence, (Burke)
Werner, Jiminez, Bamford
Option 2:
Martinez, ( Forster)
James, Sais, Dunne, ( Konsa), ( Lamptey)
Salah, De Bruyne, Foden, Rodriguez, (Burke)
Werner, Jiminez, Ings
Option 3:
Martinez, (Forster)
James, Sais, Dunne, (Konsa), ( Lamptey)
Salah, De Bruyne, Foden, Son, (Burke)
Werner, Jiminez, DCL
1. Which of the above 3 options would you rate the best option?.In what order would you rate them?
2. Is Dunne likely to start GW3 and beyond?. He looked mpressive GW2 and I heard Tarkowsi has a good chance of leaving Burnley.
3. Do you think James is nailed on?. Azpi played a full 90 min midweek and James remained on the bench, does that improve James chances for GW3?
4. Do you rate the 3 starting defenders as the strongest 3 starting defenders or would you recommend to start any of the others?
5. Any other suitable better options for Konsa and Lamptey or are they top options?
6. Any other key or must have players for a wildcard you would recommend to consider?
7. Captain choice- between De Bruyne, Salah, Sterling, Werner. What do you think? Could be a massive swing this week.
Your valued feedback would be appreciated.

I also have option 4, below:
Option 4:
Martinez, (Forster)
TAA, James, Sais, (Dunne), (Lamptey)
Salah, De Bruyne, Foden, Podence, (Burke)
Werner, Jiminez, DCL
PS: Its worth noting Arsenal have scored in their last 7 matches against Liverpool.

That is the only possible change I added on your original comment! Question #6. Jaw dropped a bit because we’re on the same page. That’s so funny.
This team is also exciting. Now it’s a tie between this and Option 3.
Upper 90 Studios
26/09/20
Hi. Thanks, glad you liked it. The OR will be all over the place at this stage, that’s normal.
Saw that with Jesus. I don’t know what Pep has in mind. Will he replace striker with striker (Delap?), or Sterling as he’s done in the past. Maybe it’s Foden as a false 9… However you think this will pan out – which player(s) will benefit – might be the key to choosing one of your options.
1. Leaning toward Option 3. Then it’s difficult to choose between the others. It’s possible they may end up delivering similar points totals.
2. I don’t know. Tarkowski could be on his way out. If he leaves, Dunne becomes a much better play with potential for FPL. We would also need to analyze the impact of Burnley losing an established regular defender, but it doesn’t mean Dunne can’t improve them.
3. Yes, James has a great chance of starting GW3 after the midweek game. In the long-run, it will depend on James. Lampard knows what he gets from Azpi, still learning with James, but his ceiling is high.
4. With the fixtures in mind this round, it’s well set.
5. No top standouts. Vinagre could almost be back in the fold if Marçal is out for an extended period, but it’s still risky. I like your flexibility with Saiss/Jimenez. It leaves another Wolves spot open to see who will emerge as the best option for the long-run.
6. A Liverpool premium defender. Don’t know the impact of Thiago on Trent/Robbo, so it’s hard to say if they’re must-haves (limited info). Not to bet on right away, but you could keep an eye on Diangana and Pereira at West Brom. They may provide value to invest in other areas.
7. I was set on De Bruyne, especially after hearing NDidi is out. Then the Jesus news gave me cold feet. City threw a wrench to the plan late on, an unknown for KDB/Sterling. Werner is a calculated risk vs. WBA. He’s been playing well and deserves more points, but Chelsea have to raise their game as they did midweek. I like Salah’s scoring record against Arsenal and know what I get with him and Liverpool. I have the armband on Salah at this moment (late Friday night). This one will go to the wire… I’m hoping for some late news or stats, anything to draw me to a player.

Thanks a lot, Bruno. You made me think of a true potential differential……Delap, that might also help my team on other areas.
I think theres a good chance he could get reasonable minutes, even if he doesnt start?.
He has got a Haaland type style to him.
My team would then look like this:
Martinez, (Forster)
TAA, James, Sais, (Dunne), (Lamptey)
Salah, De Bruyne, Foden, Podence*/ Rodriquez*
Werner, Jiminez, Delap
What do you think of this team?
Imagine if Delap scores⚽⚽⚽!
If Delap doesnt play then Rodriquez/Podence comes off the bench.
Big question, do you think its a good idea to start with Delap and if so, who to start between Rodriquez and Podence?
I just need to settle with my captain choice, but might be edging towards Salah at Anfield. De Bruyne and Werner also in the mix.🤔
Currently on a long awaited holiday weekend break with my wife in Hermanus(without the kids🕺🏻) and will probably make my final choice at the resort’s breakfast table. If you ever intend to come to South Africa in future, please let me know I would highly recommend this resort.
Good luck Buddy and wishing you lotsa green arrows for GW3.

Hi. I wouldn’t even dare guess what Pep has in mind! He can sometimes complicate things. Don’t know who to start in your team, would be afraid to send you in the wrong direction as they’re all so close in points potential.
Maybe the smallest edge to Rodriguez, Everton have been scoring for fun, but the fixture can be tricky.
I’m typing quickly as I just woke up. 5am here 🙂
I’m still on Salah from last night. May take a risk as KDB should be the top captain choice.
That’s amazing. Thanks! I will keep it in mind. Good to have some time for yourselves. Have fun!

Will it be a bad idea to captain Son?
Upper 90 Studios
26/09/20
Can make a case to captain him. 5 goals and 2 assists in his last two games in all competitions. The concern is Steve Bruce could put 10 men behind the ball to take away the space for Son. Even if he does, Spurs are capable of changing the game. Trust your instinct on this one.

i am really impressed with watkins , which one you prefer
Upper 90 Studios

Hello. Watkins has excellent potential. Mixed fixtures, but Villa have raised their game since the end of last season.
Other options are also strong, bit safer and more proven in FPL.
Trust your instinct if you’re felling Watkins. 👍

Hi. You’re welcome. That’s an excellent choice. KDB is a top captain pick and should do well even without Gabriel Jesus. 👍
Leaving it until the very last minutes to decide. Super close between all three, KDB, Salah, Werner.

Hi Bruno
I hope that you and the family are well!
Firstly, let me say a BIG THANK YOU for all your advice and insight – especially the psychological stuff – I find it to be most helpful. Keep up the good work!
My season’s gotten off to a reasonably good start and I’m quite happy with my team… I’m continuing to adopt a conservative strategy re:ownership and hits, but I’m planning to ‘trust my gut’ more and take ownership of my decisions.
My team:
McCarthy (Steer)
TAA | Taylor | Dallas | Lascelles (Ferguson)
Salah | KDB | Rodriguez | Saint Maximin* (Bissouma)
Vardy | Ings | Mitrovic
ITB: 0.7; FT=1; TV: 99.8
Players I’m looking at: *Townsend/Klich/Podence; Lamptey
At the moment I’m looking to replace Saint Maximin. I’m also wanting to get Lamptey in if possible, because he seems to be the most attacking defender in that price bracket.
Like I said, I’m trying to avoid unnecessary ‘hits’, especially if there’s not much of an ‘upside’.
Here are the options I’m considering (in order of preference):
1. Replace Saint Max with Townsend. If I make this move before these players’ prices go down and up respectively, I’ll only have 0.1 ITB, so I won’t be able to afford Lamptey.
2 Roll my transfer so that I have 2 FT’s going into the international break… this option gives me another GW’s worth of information, but will price me out of Townsend… It will give me the opportunity to look at a few other cheaper replacement options (Klich, Podence), which MIGHT still allow me to afford Lamptey, although increases may price me out.
3 Jump on one of Klich or Podence NOW to avoid further price changes
4 Do ASM>Townsend and Lascelles>Lamptey NOW for -4
Questions:
What do you think of the players I’m considering?
Are there any other players that you think I’m overlooking?
Which option (1-4) would you prefer?
I hope this all makes sense!! Thanks in advance for your response!
Grant

Hi Grant, doing well thanks! Good to hear your season is off to a good start.
1. Townsend and Palace have raised their game this season, so trust your instinct. Crystal Palace do not play midweek is another positive.
2. Podence is also interesting and he has a growing ownership with strong FPL managers.
3. I don’t have the best assessment of Klich yet. Podence looks like a neat player for FPL, but it’s risky to make moves without knowing if he’s available GW4. You might bring him in and his price could drop.
4. Early moves can work when price changes force your hand. Be sure to check which of your players are featuring Wednesday and Thursday. In my case, it’s around 7 players still to player after Tuesday.
I might only add a note to keep an eye on Soucek as a cheaper alternative to strengthen other positions. He’s strong in the air and hard to defend against. The concern is the fixtures turn for West Ham.
No issue with the transfer plan. The main decision is whether to wait until the midweek games and injuries. We saw last week with the surprise to Podence and Gabriel Jesus.
I’m leaning toward waiting for my team, and I have Son injured. From my team, it’s Rodriguez, DCL, Mitrovic, Bissouma, maybe Liverpool players depending on what Klopp is thinking, KDB almost got hurt badly last week in the cup. I should wait, but it’s not easy because I have the perfect player combo in mind and may miss out because of price changes.
Maybe between options 2 and 4 if forced to choose. Not an easy one! I’m struggling with a similar decision.

Hi bruno,
Coming from a bad game week 2, I refrain from using my wildcard and manage to get an average point of 51. I was not satisfied with werner gameplay and had transfer in Bamford before the price rise.
My team after the transfer is as follows:
Mccarthy (steer)
TAA, James, Mitchell (dallas) (brandwaithe)
Ward-prowse, salah, KDB, bruno (bissouma)
Adams Mitrovic bamford
Itb:4mil
I am not quite satisfied by Ward-prowse, Adams and Mitrovic. What do you think of their performance? do you suggest for me to take point hit and transfer them out?
Alternatively, I would also appreciate if you could comment on my wildcard team should I decide to play them:
Mccarthy (steer)
TAA, James, Mitchell, lamptey (dunne)
Salah, KDB, bruno, (bissouma) (last midfielder I still can’t decide between Klich or podence)
DCL, Jiminez, Bamford
I look forward to your comments on which should I go. Is it not wise to play a wildcard before an international break? But I’m thinking I have few dead weight on my team.
Last but not least, thank you bruno for helping me out and I look forward to your advice.

Hi. Solid score this week with the low average. Can understand the transfer.
I watched Mitrovic more closely because I have him on my team. He had so many chances to score from crosses and somehow missed the target every time. I would be ok keeping him for another game. The concern is Fulham were outplayed for long spells.
Adams and JWP have a good fixture, so the timing might not be the best to drop them. That’s up to you as I’m not as caught up on Southampton this week. Still doing some research.
Don’t think your team needs a Wildcard just yet. The favorable fixtures might just carry you until the international break. But it’s up to you! If you’re feeling like making changes, trust your instinct.
If we get an injury update on Podence and he’s available for GW4, you could consider him this round while saving the Wildcard for later in the season.
Keep in mind there are midweek games to come with teams playing Wednesday and Thursday. I’m curious to see if Liverpool, United and City rest their key players. Sometimes these midweek games give us more clues to decide on the final plan.
Thanks for the comment. 👍

Hey. Yes, same here. The only positive is this was a good week to get a low score because of the low average. Not much ground lost.
It’s never a good feeling when the Wildcard doesn’t hit right away, but you should be ok if you can avoid injuries before GW4.
Hang in there. The next video is in the works!

Hey! Difficult week, but it’s ok with the low average.
I will most likely sell Werner. In my case, it’s to use the extra £ to tighten up the final defender spot.
Jimenez and Ings have similar scoring potential GW4, so it depends on what you need. For my team, I might prefer Jimenez in the long-run. I’m also keeping an eye on Podence as he’s owned by 50% of managers in the Elite64 League. I want some Wolves attack cover.
Fulham were a disaster last game, West Brom not much better. Your call on this one!
