If your City premium don’t deliver this week, then maybe it could be worth considering reinvesting the funds to strengthen other areas. Sterling in particular has to deliver now, KDB has been better and unlucky not to score more points.

First of all thank you for the great content you are putting in and the unbiased help you provide to us FPL Players. Great to see you finally reaping the rewards in FPL this season.
After doing my transfers this week (Martial / Janmaat out for Alli / Aurier), I am in doubt on captaincy and would like your advice here. Squad is as follows:
Guaita
Pereira / Doherty / Aurier
KDB / Son / Alli / Mount
Jimenez / Abraham / Vardy
Subs: Stekelenburg / Kelly / Cantwell / Lascelles
My initial plan was to trust Vardy with the armband, but have two concerns there: It is the third fixture for Vardy in 7 days and he is due to a dip in form (tailed off a bit last GW). Now I am considering Son or even Alli, as Burnley have a poor defensive record against top sides, are missing C. Taylour and Tottenhams attack is hot.
What would be your pick considering all the curcuimstances ?

Hello. You’re welcome. I have a similar squad and will take a chance on Vardy’s form by captaining him. However, Son and Alli are also excellent choices, so it’s up to you.
Vardy feels a little safer, Son/Alli are a little riskier but it could work well for the reasons you mentioned. Depends on how you feel. 👍

Hey. I had them and they were doing ok. The reason I sold them was to invest the additional funds to strengthen the outer positions in my team – weak starters and bench.
This change has led to 4 consecutive green arrows. Less relying on 1-2 premium assets to score big points, more players to spread the risk.
Man City have great scoring potential, nothing wrong having their attacking players in your squad. 👍

I made a last minute captain switch, not sure if it is the right one , I went bold, I went with TAA, with Mane likely to be rested and Salah still niggling, hoping TAA makes more runs, with Vardy vice captain.
I cant bear to watch or wait for the Liverpool game……

Hi. It’s possible managers will take a gamble on captaincy this week with so many rotation doubts.
Without Salah on the right side, TAA has added attention from the defenders. Salah’s return could be a boost.

Hi. It’s so difficult because Chelsea have a great matchup this weekend, but Rashford has been excellent recently.
Chilwell is trickier as he missed GW15 with a hip problem.
I might suggest waiting until the midweek games before making a final decision. We could have clues to finalize the plan.

Yay – I went for Salah and captained him and with Kane coming good I’m at 59 points and no hits at the half way mark. Fingers crossed for a good Leicester result tomorrow.
Will be seriously rethinking Pulisic and KDB from recent form. The trick will be thinking who would be the best replacements. Son looking great.
Looks like you will have gone well too, Bruno with double Liverpool clean sheet.

couldnt wait for ur reply so went wild and made transfers before up and downs in prices)) made following changes:
KDB/Tielemans/Jim/Connolly -> Madds/Shelvey/Rash/Tammy for minus 8
was totally impressed by Madds plying vs AV so felt he was a must have, plus Tielemans/Connolly/KDB were about to drop. Moreover, cant ingnore next fixtures for CHE and MU. Shelvey was bought keeping in mind LFC blank game 18 so to play 5th mid role and during busy Christmas rotation schedule as feel he is in great form.

Hey Bruno! I’m really struggling as to which transfer I should make since a couple moves are really popular right now. My team looks like this (1.2 ITB, 1 FT):
Pope, Ryan
Lundstram, TAA, Pereira, Kelly, Rico
Maddison, KDB, Mane, Alli, Cantwell
Vardy, Abraham, Connolly
These are the moves I’m looking at, which one(s) do you think would be the best or should I save a transfer?
TAA –> VVD (TAA’s pretty expensive, and he’s returning similar values to VVD. Also, VVD is a much smaller rotation risk for the holiday season)
KDB –> Son (I still feel like city have that devastating attacking football within them, but it’s definitely less consistent. Son has also been in fantastic form though so I’m struggling as to whether I should double spurs and drop any city coverage)
Pereira–> Soyuncu/Evans (This move would be more so to free up funds- it would give me an extra 1.2 mil- but are Pereira’s greater chances of attacking returns and bonus points worth keeping him?)
Abraham –> Rashford (Both seem to be in great form right now. Man Utd have the better upcoming attacking fixtures by far, so I’m very tempted to swap to Rashford, but then that leaves me without Chelsea attacking coverage and Man Utd is still inconsistent in my mind. Also, their counter-attacking style is usually not effective against weaker teams)

Hey! TAA to VVD, prefer TAA. But you’re right about the increased rotation risk through December. Another note is the blank GW18.
Small edge to Son because there’s a bit more excitement over at Spurs with Mourinho.
Between the three, I might consider Soy the best value. Evans can be injury-prone.
The problem is as you said, United can be inconsistent. They raise their game against the better sides, then drop it against the weaker teams. Good point with the counter attack against the weaker teams. As far as fixtures, Abraham has an edge for GW17. Then Rashford wins it. For my team, I’m ok to watch United to be sure they can turn it up against all opposition.
The only improvements I can suggest for your team are the outer edges of the squad. Players like Connolly and Cantwell. By making strategic changes to some of the players you mentioned, you might be able to upgrade those final spots that could come in handy during the blank GW18, or if players are rested through December.
