Hi bruno,
Please comment on my team:
McCarthy/Nyland
Walker Peters, Castagne, VVD, Vinagre/ Barry Douglas
Auba (C), Barnes, Mane (vc), saint/ Phoden
DCL, Werner/ Mitrovic
First concern is 2 Southampton players in the back line but with 1m itb i can afford to make changes.
Second concern is banking on phil phoden getting game time, when City eventually play, by having him on my bench
Thirdly not 100% sure Castagne will start, should i rather use James Justin ?
What changes would you make ? If none, I’ll simply upgrade DCL to Richarlison.
Thanks!

Hi. Unique defense that could work well if the players deliver to their potential. Note on Wolves, they signed left-back Marçal from PSG. Keep an eye on Vinagre in case he leaves before the transfer window closes.
1. Can see the concern. I might prioritize McCarthy over KWP. The problem is I’m not settled on £4.5m defenders for my own team and can’t suggest an alternative with confidence.
2. Impossible to tell what Guardiola will do, but I like the idea of Foden as bench cover. I would imagine he’ll feature regularly and sneak in points even when coming off the bench.
3. Leaning toward Justin over Castagne. Investing on players with PL experience at the start has worked well in recent seasons. To be fair, I don’t know Castagne well enough. 🙂 Hard to tell who could score more points if both start regularly, so trust your instinct if you have a good read on both players.
No changes required at this moment, only thoughts to keep in mind. The information we get between now and deadline might help make the final tweaks.
Thanks for the comment! 👍

Hey Bruno, hope ure doing well.
I leaned alot from you and Im grateful to came across your channel last year.
Im doing a week by week basis and did not plan further due to the pandemic. Alot tougher this year to draft I must say.
During the pandemic game resume, i notice alot of less scoring games. So this gw1 i decided to bolster up my backline first and here what i came up with..
McCarthy (Nyland)
Doherty- Robertson- TAA- Vinagre (Douglas)
Salah – Son – ASM – soucek – Auba
Ings – (Mitrovic) – (Davis)
Playing a 451 formation.
I have doubts with Vinagre. Rumor he leaves soon. I also monitoring PVA. If PVA is set , I may drop son for Ali ( playing behind kane i hope) and get PVA.
Thoughts on my team?

Hey. Doing well, thanks. That’s great to hear, appreciate it. 👍
I agree with you on the planning aspect of it and unknowns.
Need more info on Vinagre. I’m surprised more aren’t mentioning that Wolves signed Marçal from PSG. Even if Vinagre stays, he has to fight a player who helped Lyon reach the Champions league semifinals just a few weeks ago.
One of the strongest teams I’ve seen, both player selections and the plan. It’s unique, but makes perfect sense with everything considered.
Keep this as the main team to compare with any new ones you might come up with.

Hi, Bruno. I again, are you considering how corona may effect the team. Players can easily get affected by it and miss a two or three matches. How you will handle the problem, if you get multiple injury of your first eleven in a single week?

Hi. Great point. It’s been on my mind for the last few days. I’m covering this on the GW1 video that I’m working on now.
Thank you.

I’ve changed a lot of things since the last draft! This is it currently:-
GK = Ryan, Nyland
DEF = TAA, Dier, Walker- pieters, Taylor, Oskar Burr
MID = Soucek, Salah, Aubameyang, Saint Max, James Rodriguez
FWD = Werner, Adams, Jimenez
My new plan is to get KDB and Martial for Aubameyang and Jimenez after GW2!
1) How strong do you think this team is?
2) How much of an impact will James make at the start of the season with the good run of fixtures?
3) Do you think Oskar Burr will play since Vinagre might get sold or should I just stick with Mitchell? But PVA is back in training!
4) Who has a better chance of playing, Nyland or Button?
5) Will Bruno Fernandez make the same impact as last season?
Thanks Bruno for the advice!👍

Nice! 1) It’s safe and strong with the core, and also unique in the outer positions.
2) Hard to tell with newcomers. Pulisic started slow at the start of last season, then came alive. Sometimes they adapt quickly, other times they need an adjustment period. James has the quality, it’s the other things we don’t see behind the scenes like moving into a new home and the family settling in. Your team has FPL-proven players in key positions, so it’s ok to include a newcomer.
3) Wolves bought Marçal from PSG, a Champions League semifinalist just a few weeks ago. This increases the risk of rotation for Vinagre and Buur. PVA has been picture in training, but it’s hard to tell if it’s his first time on grass or if he’s back in full training. Need more news… It’s possible that Mitchell will start the first few games, then he will drop out once PVA returns.
When planning, it’s worth considering that no £4m defenders will start regularly this season.
4) Emiliano Martinez is rumored to be a target for Aston Villa. If they sign a new first-team keeper, Nyland drops down the order. Button I would assume is backup to Johnstone. Keep an eye on the transfer window before deadline.
5) His numbers might level out a bit, but from watching him since he was at Sporting, I would say he will remain an excellent option in FPL. Never afraid to shoot, penalties and other set pieces, strong attackers alongside to finish the chances he creates.
Thanks!

Hey Bruno, welcome back. What do you think of this team:
Goalies: McCarthy, Nyland
Defense: TAA, Vinagre, Justin, Douglas, Lamptey
Midfield: Salah, Auba, Soucek, Armstrong, Son
Forward: Timo, Ings, Brewster
What will you do to create room for KDB and Bruno?
Upper 90 Studios
09/09/20
Hey, thanks. GK+DEF are set overall. Keep an eye on Vinagre, rumors he could be leaving after the signing of Marçal.
Mids and forwards look strong. 👍
I’m keeping an open mind with the plan for the two players. There’s a fixture swing for Aubameyang GW3, so that could be a moment to consider a change.
Always risky to swap premium players. Salah, Son and Werner have to battle each other to earn their place over KDB.

Going 442 first week Bruno as things stand. McCarthy, KWP, Justin, Robertson, Mitchell, Salah, Auba, Saint Maximin, Reed, Werner and Mitrovic subs Steer, Taylor, Greenwood and Martial
Can rotate 2 defence spots with Robertson easily for few weeks. Fulham have according to bookmaker sites the best starting fixtures for the first few weeks so as an enabler Reed at 4.5m who is nailed is a good 5th mid option. Saving myself a transfer by benching Greenwood+Martial who have good fixtures from gw2 going forward.
Thoughts?

Liking this plan with benched players so you don’t waste transfer hits. Man United attackers vs. Palace GW2 is looking promising with so many injuries to key defenders.
Thanks for the note on Reed. Looking strong overall. 👍 I added some thoughts on key players on the GW1 video below. Thanks.

1) Depending on the fixtures which side of Wolves is better to focus on, the defense or the attack?
2) Will Traore play consistently under Nuno this season? And how much impact will he make?
3) Will Ceballos have a breakthrough with banging in a bag full of assists this season?
Thanks for your advice Bruno!!!👍
Upper 90 Studios

1) I might say neither until GW3, then both are green. If forced to choose, possibly a gamble on defense for the value.
2) The biggest concern is his injury record with his explosive playing style. At times, it feels like Nuno limits his minutes to protect him. He could get even better if he can stay healthy.
3) Think so. I’ve included him in my latest Watchlist which is mentioned on the GW1 video: https://youtu.be/OEj63Ft5zRU
Great reading your thoughts as always! 👍

Hi again Bruno,
Would you rather have Son + Mitrovic or Werner + 5.5m mid? Thinking maybe Saka… (already have ASM). However the defence selection dilemma is giving me a bit of a nightmare! Not much to choose from in the 4-4.5m range. Do you think Ben Davies will start for Spurs? Am thinking I might have to change my strategy to nailed on defenders… Thoughts?
Cheers,
Nick

If I go for the Werner option I’m also considering maybe even downgrading to a 4.5m midfielder and use that 1.0m elsewhere. Maybe upgrade Douglas to Davies/Egan? By the way who would you drop out of Salah, De Bruyne, Fernandes, Werner and Kane? Most people would pick Kane, but I’d like to keep him for points differential. Cheers Bruno

Good idea. I’ve selected Egan in my latest GW1 team: https://youtu.be/OEj63Ft5zRU
Long-run? Possibly Salah as strange as it is to say.

Hi Nick,
Wow, that’s such a tricky question. Stumped on this one. I might say it’s too close to call without seeing the whole squad to really feel the balance.
Agree with you on DEF 4m-4.5m range. I even considered going a defender short at one point!
Yes, I think Davies will start. Unless Mourinho does something strange and plays both Aurier and Doherty? I thought Aurier was leaving, but he’s still around and starting matches in pre-season.
At £4.5m, I like Justin, possibly a wild gamble on Konsa (after GW1). I included my Watchlist on the GW1 video below. Thanks for the comment.

Hi Bruno. Thanks a bunch for your comments! These are my line up options so far, please let me know your thoughts…
Team A: (1.5m ITB)
McCarthy (Nyland)
TAA Justin Vinagre/KWP (Mitchell) (Douglas)
Auba Salah Son JWP ASM
Kane Mitrovic (Davis/Brewster)
1.5m ITB for Fernandes GW2. If Vinagre isn’t set I’ll look at getting KWP even though I would be doubling up on Southampton defence… Will get Brewster if he loans to another PL club.
or
Team B: (0.0m ITB)
McCarthy (Nyland)
TAA Justin Vinagre/KWP Mitchell (Douglas)
Auba Salah ASM (Bissouma) (Gordon)
Kane Werner Ings
More unbalanced line up but the forward line is ruthless! Then would sell Auba and Salah for Fernandes and KDB, and possibly one of the strikers to a cheaper option to free up funds to upgrade one of the midfielders or defenders.
or
Team C: (0.0m ITB)
McCarthy (Nyland)
TAA Justin Egan (Vinagre/KWP) (Mitchell)
Auba Salah JWP ASM (Bissouma)
Kane Werner Mitrovic
This one is more balanced with one decent bench player. Sorry about the endless options but your input is greatly appreciated mate! Bring it on!!
Cheers Bruno,
Nick

Hi. Vinagre could be ok after hearing Nuno in the press conference. He said Marçal could be eased into their system.
Team A: I like Son. Only note is a small risk with double Spurs and their busy schedule. They travel to Bulgaria between GW1 and GW2. Everything else is well set.
Team B: Crystal Palace have key defensive injuries and their fixtures make it a little harder to trust Mitchell as a starter in FPL. Now that I said that, watch him crush it! Incredible forward line as you said.
Team C: I’m familiar with this team structure and you somehow managed to pull Kane in with Werner. I might say this is the one I’d be most afraid to face head-to-head. I can only point to Vinagre/KWP as the only decision remaining and they’re on the bench, not a priority.
Some thoughts for now.

Hi Bruno
Final changes happening here. Instead of Vardy, Kane (Brewster), I’m thinking of starting a front 3 of Vardy, Ings, Nketiah. Would mean a 3-4-3, with Vinagre benched. With all the comments on Vinagre I’m wondering who a good 4.5m replacement might be in defence – maybe one of the Leeds boys – or Lamptey or Williams? Just trying to work out who is most nailed on there. Any news on Soucek after he had to self-isolate? The COVID factor means bench more important.
Also, I was going to get either Greenwood or Foden for my bench for GW2 – but given their shenanigans while on international duty I’m not sure that they’ll start for their clubs.
Your thoughts appreciated. Can’t wait for kickoff.

Hi. Feeling good about Ings against Crystal Palace. I mentioned on the GW1 video (https://youtu.be/OEj63Ft5zRU) that Crystal Palace are riddled with defensive injuries. I might target them with attacking players every round.
Lamptey is promising with possible attacking returns. I’m sticking with Justin as he covers for Ricardo Pereira. I also have an eye on Konsa Aston Villa for >GW2.
I’ve accepted that Soucek might not feature GW1 and my team could be a player short. Shenanigans is a good way to put it. 👍 I don’t know what their club managers have in mind, I would imagine they broke protocols and should have to isolate for a period of time. Then again, sometimes players are protected by their clubs.
Me too. Feeling relieved after revealing the GW1 team.

Hi Bruno,
need your help with my team, this year with this prices i don’t have idea what to do :
Mc Carthy (Ryan)
TAA Vinarge Justin, Mitchell (walker peters)
Salah (C), Auba(VC), Saint Maximin ,Bissouma ( Bruno Fernandes)
Kane , Mitrovic (davis)
0,5 m in the bank, First i have Ayling instead of Mitchell , but i was thinking maybe is good to have 0.5 itb on the start and see who will play.
Plan is to take KDB gw 2 and maybe kane-> aguero if city have double gw.

Hi. Some strange pricing this season. Certain players are bargains, others way overpriced.
I included some notes on Vinagre and Mitchell on the GW1 video: https://youtu.be/OEj63Ft5zRU They could work well if starting regularly, so trust your instinct. 👍
Liking your attack and the Fernandes bench plan. I tried a few drafts with a similar idea and liked it as an experiment.
Good plan keeping funds ITB in case certain players step up and others disappoint.
Premium attackers future plan is also reasonable. Let’s see how the players perform GW1 and take it from there.
