Hi Bruno,
Nice to see you back after long time. Superb video. Although I have a little different strategy for GW1. Please rate my team and let me know wat you feel abt it. Any suggestions/improvements are more than welcome.
Lloris/McCarthy
Egan, walker-peters, Justin, vinagre, douglas
Auba, Salah, Zaha, Saint maximin, Soucek
Kane, werner, mitrovic
P. S. Not sure about keeping Zaha and Soucek
and leaving out Alex Arnold for Kane because of easier initial spurs fixtures
Let me know ur thoughts overall.
Thanks in advance

Hi. Thanks! No red flags besides one you mentioned, Zaha can be hot or cold. Soucek is solid for his price.
Other than that, your strategy could work. Keep an eye on Kane in pre-season, I don’t think he featured in the last game but he might’ve made the bench.
Excellent overall.

Hi, watched your video. I have a few questions.
1. Are you really confident about Liverpool double defense? I was thinking about adding a Spurs defense, which may save some money also. Morinho is a great defensive manager, also bought new Dm. They might keep pretty good CS. What about Doherty?
2. You don’t have any Chelsea asset. Warner/Ziyech has a lot of ownership. Why avoid him? (To be honest, I also don’t want them in my team, but the ownership stat is making me nervous).
3. Justin , I also have him, but will Leicester do good defensively this year. Chilwell left, Evans, Pereira are not available. How good will they fit?
4. What about Adams from Southampton? I think teams might give Ings some extra attention. Not sure, may be overthinking.
4. Will there be early wildcard like last year?
So far my team is quiet like you.
McCarthy / Nyland
TAA – Davies – Vinagre – //Justin – Johnson
Salah – Auba – Son – Ziyach – Soucek
Ings – Mitrovic //Brewster (Hope he moves to Aston Villa or Shefield)
Bank: 1m… Need to squeeze another 0.5m so that i can get Bruno.
Feel free to advice.
Lastly, Santos? COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Hi. 1. Yes. When comparing them to others in that price range, even in attacking positions, Trent+Robbo are players I can count on. You could be right about Doherty and it’s a good point with Mourinho who can tighten up defenses. I have a draft with Doherty in place of Robertson which allows a bump up in midfield. 👍
2. From my experience, I prefer to invest on FPL-proven players at the start. It’s a formula that has worked well in the last 2-3 seasons, although there are no guarantees it will work again. Player ownership is a factor to keep an eye on.
3. Leicester can be solid defensively, but they were shaky towards the end of the season. I’m targeting Justin for starts in the beginning, possible attacking returns, and good fixtures.
4. No set plan at this moment, leaning toward using free transfers to bring in KDB/Fernandes if needed.
Brewster would be nice… good spot there. No easy way to draw out the extra 0.5m, I know the feeling! Ziyech, possibly Mitrovic are two positions to play with, but it could be set as is. EDIT: Check if Ziyech has a knock, possible knee injury.
I was born in Santos and that was my first team! 🙂
Great comment and points.

Hey Bruno! Great video, short, simple and very straight to the point really enjoyed it! still working on my strategy of trying to keep WC for as long as i can by having a longer termish team. decided to go wo Ings upfront are this time so pls share your thoughts on who d you pick and why:
a. JWP (3/4/3)
b. Adams (4//4/2)

Hey! Thanks. Thought it was going to be 15min long but I talked fast and didn’t realize it. 🙂
Yes, I’m thinking of making some compromises initially in order to save the Wildcard for later. We could have many surprises in store this season. Adama Traore just tested positive for coronavirus today.
Prefer JWP who just signed a new deal. Scored two goals in a pre-season game a few days ago including a penalty. Set piece threat. I also like that he played every minute of every game last season. Not sure if Adams is 100% nailed-on.
The concern is JWP was playing at fullback late last season. I remember having him on my Watchlist for many weeks, then I noticed his positioning and took him out. Hopefully that was because he was filling in for someone injured. Need to keep digging in pre-season.

Hey Bruno,
I want to get the highest points in Gw 2 without chips cuz ders some prize in my mini league..how should i built my Gw 1 team to be ready for Gw 2 .. please help!
Upper 90 Studios
01/09/20
Hey. Do you mean only GW2 points count, or GW1+GW2 combined points?
That’s a difficult one. The plan I mentioned on the video is an option, but I would need more time to think of other plans.
If it’s just GW2 points that matter:
1. Build a GW2 team now with KDB+Fernandes, leaving at least £0.5m ITB to account for price changes.
2. Replace at least one of them GW1, possibly benching the other. (Aubameyang or Son are replacements)
3. Get KDB or Fernandes GW2 without a hit or using a chip.

Hi Bruno
Welcome back!. Hope you had a good break and you and the family are well and safe. Ready and roaring to go.😀
Great video….love the song, just missed your normal intro music though.
Anyway straight to business:
What do you think of my current draft team options:
Option 1:
Mcarthy, (Ryan)
TAA, Vinagre, Justin, (Mitchell), ( Struijik)
Salah, Auba, Soucek, Armstrong,( Greenwood)
Werner, Ings, Mitrovic
ITB – 0.5m
Mcarthy and Ryan alternate great the first 10 gameweeks, not 1 tough game!
Struijik, I heard he could be starter if Ben White replacement not found and is 4.0, along with Mitchell who is likely to start with Ferguson injured 1st few games.
Option 2:
Mcarthy, (Nyland)
TAA, Vinagre, Justin, (Mitchell), ( Struijik)
Salah, Auba, Soucek, Armstrong,( Greenwood)
Vardy, Ings, Mitrovic
ITB-0.5m
Option 3:
Mcarthy, (Nyland)
TAA, Vinagre, Justin, Mitchell, ( Struijik)
Salah, Auba, Soucek, Son,(Anguisa)
Ings, Mitrovic,(Martial)
ITB-0.0m
Option 4:
Mcarthy, (Nyland)
TAA, Vinagre, Justin, Mitchell,( Struijik)
Salah, Auba, Soucek, (Greenwood),(Anguisa)
Kane, Ings, Mitrovic
ITB-0.0m
Options 2-4 have 1 Man United player on bench to save a transfer for GW2 vs Crystal Palace, with option 1 and 2 have a further option of bringing Martial also in for GW2.
1.What are your views on the above team options and how would you rank them?.
2.Any crucial players missing from the teams?.
3 Is there any further changes you would recommend for any of the options above to further improve the team options?
4. I learnt a new term recently…..price points….trying to build my team on price points to easily move players in and out with similar price points. Your view on that approach?
5. Do you think Saka and Ziyech are good options and nailed on?
Or do think Saka Willian and Pepe could rotate?
6. Whats your view or experience on rotating goalkeepers….have you seen how nicely Mcarthy and Ryan rotate fixtures first 10 gameweeks?
7. Do you think Martinez is unlikely to be starting goalkeeper for Arsenal. At 4.5m he would be a steal if he starts!
8. Have you thought of how to structure a team if Messi moves to EPL?.😃 Rumour is he could cost 14.0m.
Great to have you back,Buddy!
Your valued input on the above would be appreciated.

Hey! Happy to be back. We’re all doing well, thanks.
I’ll keep Struijik in mind, didn’t know that. 👍
1. Option 3 with Son+Martial. Then it’s a tie with the other three as far as starting XI strength.
2. Not crucial, but I might mention Robertson who has been hot for some time, and Doherty at Spurs assuming Aurier leaves.
3. No. I might take your tip with the defender instead…
4. That’s the concept in the video I suppose, but I didn’t know there was a term for it. I usually use the term “straightforward.” I have the option of getting KDB/Fernandes with a straightforward switch from Auba/Son while avoiding damaging hits.
5. Good options? Probably. Nailed? I don’t know yet. Lots of quality players in those positions itching to play. I’m even worried about Mount who I really wanted to fit into my First Draft.
6. Yes, mentioned it on the video on the Player Analysis section where I take a closer look starting with the GK. However, Nyland/Steer are very close in rotation with McCarthy according to our cheatsheet… only one game doesn’t quite work out between now and GW9. McCarthy/Ryan work every game at a cost of £0.5m.
7. Wish I knew because you’re right!
8. No, but it could be fun. 🙂 Ronaldo cost that much if I can remember, maybe even pushed to 14.5m.
Great to have you back!
-Bruno
PS: I like to switch up the music during pre-season, then bring in the main song and intro for the GW videos. 👍

Hi Bruno,
Great to hear your voice after so long. Your team looks great. Would you prefer ings over werner for the start of the season? With chelsea signing so many good players, i feel like werner will be receiving service from all around the pitch. Let me know your thoughts on that. Below is my current draft
McCarthy (Button)
TAA, Vinagre, Justin (Johnson, Branthwaite)
Salah, Mane, Auba, Armstrong, ASM
Werner, Mitro (Fodder)
I am lining up with 3-5-2 with both salah and mane. This team gives me lots of flexibility in terms of transfer because i can easily downgrade them to get any players. Let me know your thoughts. My another plan is to downgrade ASM to 4.5 mid and upgrade Branthwaite to a 4.5 defender to play 4-4-2. That will leave me with 0.5 in the bank also.
Let me know your thoughts. Glad to have you back!
Thanks

Hi. Thanks, happy to be back. I don’t know enough about Werner just yet, but you’re probably right about Chelsea. Ings is already proven in FPL, Werner might have the higher points ceiling. It’s possible drafts with either player could result in similar points totals.
I hadn’t thought about Salah+Mane… that’s really interesting. I like it a lot. Needs Liverpool to shake off the cobwebs from the end of last season. To be fair the title was won and some players had already checked out mentally.
Your plans and the strategy in general is on point. 👍

Hi Bruno,
I have made small changes to the earlier team. I have removed Zaha and kane and replaced with son and ings so as to bolster midfield. Keeping TAA and Robertson out giving me extra amount to invest in mid/attack.
Also, is Doherty nailed on starter in case aurier doesn’t leave spurs?
Need your opinion on the team below:
McCarthy (Ryan)
Doherty, Vinagre, Justin, (walker peters, Douglas)
Aubameyang, Salah, Son, Soucek, (Saint maximin)
Ings, Werner, Mitrovic
Thanks mate.

Hi. I like this idea as well. That attack is super strong. 🔥
I don’t know about Doherty if Aurier stays. Doherty would still likely be first choice, but I would assume it increases the risk of rotation. Aurier may switch off defensively at times, but his contribution as a wide attacking player is excellent. Mourinho would have an extra option and use other players with a tactical adjustment to make up for Aurier’s defensive weaknesses.
Every draft has pros and cons. This one makes a compromise with no Trent/Robertson to get the attacking players you really want. The important thing is you’re aware of potential issues like Doherty if Aurier stays.
You’re building some excellent drafts, so you will be strong no matter which you choose and you can make adjustments as you go.

Hi Bruno
Great to hear from you again. Have made my first picks but am still tinkering with it. What do you think of the below squad (which uses all my budget 0 ITB) ?
McCarthy (Nyland)
Van Dijk, Walker-Peters, Justin, Vinagre (Branthwaite)
Son, Salah, Soucek,Auba (Stephens)
Vardy, Kane (Brewster)
I would like to hang onto my first wildcard longer than GW2 if possible. Other options:
1) Kane out, Ings in (2.0 ITB)
1a) Use the 2.0 to upgrade Stephen’s to Foden (benched & ready for GW2)
1b) Use 1.0 to upgrade Van Dijk to TAA (1.0 ITB)
With 1a, thinking that I’ll then have to make one swap for a Man Utd player GW2. (no hits). Though 1b gives wiggle room with $$ ITB. Just trying to balance up the longer vs shorter term issues re who I want as core of the team.
Cheers Davina

Hi. Good to have you back. 👍
Your team is super strong in the the midfield and forward positions, I’d be afraid to go against it head-to-head. The concern is it puts pressure on cheaper defenders to deliver.
I might say it’s between keeping Kane in a double up with Son, or moving for TAA possibly improving another starting defender position. Keep in mind Spurs have Europa League between GW1 and GW2, although I’d expect Mourinho to start his best players in the league. I’m not sure about Foden yet with so many City players in rotation. That’s before factoring in Aguero, and who knows with Messi.
The main decision could be whether to strengthen at the back by sacrificing a premium striker (Ings is only a downgrade in price). That’s not easy because it means dropping a high-ceiling player to get more balance in the squad.

Hi Bruno
Great to hear from you.
I have formulated a draft i am pretty happy with an i have a general idea of my future transfers, so here it is:
Mcarthy, Nyland
DEF : Trent, Dier ( differential in a way, but spurs have amazing defensive fixtures so am unsure why hes so low owned, certainly better than other 5-5.5 def – and hes defo 1st choise cb under Jose), Justin, Vinagre ( good rotation fixtures with Justin for 3rd starting def spot ), Mitchell
MID : Salah, Auba ( to KDB in gw3 ), Saint Maximin, Armstrong, Soucek ( poor fixtures but starts gw 1 and maybe vs arsenal as they concede a lot from set pieces, plus fixtures are not an issue as he will b a bench player who i can upgrade to a 5.5-6 mill mid once i downgrade auba to kdb in the future)
FOR : Mitrovic (will usually rotate with the likes of Armstrong and Saint Max depending on fixtures), Kane ( great fixtures and because he is so expensive i can easily downgrade to Ings, Jimenez, Werner etc… and i can use those funds later to upgrade Armstrong, Saint Maximin or Soucek to maybe even someone like Greenwood or Ziyech, or maybe Dier to Doherty, Van Dijk or Robertson – with a bit more tinkering but lots of options nonetheless), Werner ( to Martial in gw2) (It was a toss up between Ings and Werner and whilst i think Ings is a great option and werner is new to the league, werner is extremely highly owned and i do not want an early set back, moreover, Martial is a downgrade from Werner so there are less issues with price rises, moreover, if i use Werner and downgrade to Martial, my gw1 team will b the full 100 mill value, whereas with Ings i may only b able to use 99-99.5 as I need to upgrade to Martial and for price rise issues) ( Another tough descision i made was to have Martial as my utd Asset in gw2 over Bruno, whilst i love bruno, he is wayyyy overperforming xA and xG ( yes ik everyone talks about it, but its a valid point), so id rather have Martial for 1.5 cheaper imo, plus, worst case scenario, because i have Kane, and he is the same price as Bruno, i can somewhat easily switch them if Bruno is playing too well to miss out, i could even transfer Salah to Bruno later as it seems as though Salah is looking less in demand this year and he had a pretty poor end to last season – like most liverpool players however. Overall though theres so many options to bring bruno back, so i am not about worried about missing out on him early on as the 1.5 mill saved on Martial also strengthens the rest of my team)
I have written my thought process about certain, maybe controversial players in the brackets above so hopefully you get a gist of my thought process.
here is how my team might lineup gw1:
Mcarthy
Trent, Dier, James
Salah, Auba, ASM, Armstrong, Soucek
Kane, Werner
bench: Mitro, Vinagre, Mitchell, Nyland
Cheers Bruno, would love to hear your opinions and the content is amazing as always,
thanks.

Hi. Thanks, glad to be back. 👍
DEF: I like the idea with a Spurs defender. Dier would offer value for clean sheet potential under Mourinho. That’s assuming Mourinho can tighten their defense, which he has done with other sides. Can see the reasoning with the other defenders. I may wait a bit on Vinagre until around GW3 for my team, but your draft has him benched and in a rotation system.
MID: Auba plan makes sense as the fixtures turn. Others are well set with value players freeing up funds for other key areas.
FOR: Good point with Ings vs. Werner. Ownership is a factor and we have to pick the spots to take risks. Liverpool will be interesting to analyze and find out if they only faded at the end because the title was already won.
Team is well set. The weaker positions at the back and midfield are set strategically to create a strong core. Hopefully the core delivers as it should, or the weaker players punch above their weight.
Enjoyed reading your thoughts on the teams, players and strategy.
