***UPDATE: KDB injured, Hayden suspended! The positive is Kelly might come in off the bench since Sakho is out injured again. Banking a transfer to have 2FTs for the international break. Keeping KDB because I don’t want to use up a transfer on a player who is staying for the long-run, Guardiola said he will return GW9. Similar reasoning as Mount a few weeks back.
The pressure is on Aguero and Son to deliver, no excuses, even if they’re benched! If they fail to deliver, I may make a change on the premium differentials. Captain Aguero, vice captain Salah. Pochettino hinted at rotation… does he know Son was subbed early GW7? I can’t blame him for being confused, I feel the same way this week. Approaching this round with an open mind! I’m seriously considering making a move to get Aubameyang for GW8; but, to do that, someone pricey has to go. I can take a hit to move out Mane + Greenwood for Auba + cheap MID, OR I can do a one-for-one with Aguero. Since Aguero started the UCL game, this might signal a pattern by Pep – give Jesus the UCL start and Aguero the PL start, then switch it up. KdB’s injury has me waiting a bit on any move. If he is not fit for the weekend, then I might have to keep Mane around to have a stronger midfield.
Any ideas which would be the best way to go?

Can see your point. I can only speak for my case, and I’m leaning toward playing a little Pep roulette. Impossible to predict who will miss out. Going by who plays midweek didn’t work before GW7 since Jesus started the midweek cup game, then also in the league on the weekend. Aguero was fully-rested midweek, then benched GW7.
KDB is the real question, agree on the idea with holding Mane. 👍
Those are the thoughts, but my tips are a little off at this moment, so trust your instinct.

Hey. Doing well, thanks. Near 2 million. I’m more concerned about the points difference to a solid rank. At the moment, it’s not so bad, needing to make up about 25pts to get back on track and really build from. But the points are adding up after a few too many red arrows.

Thanks for the update. Bad gameweek for me also with 42 points after getting 76 points prior to that. Went from 500k to 1.2M OR. I had aurier on my team and after the red card, i immediately transferred him out for tomori out of frustration. So i don’t have any free transfer available. Below is how i am lining up for GW 8
Pope
Lundstram, Otamendi, Tomori
Salah, Mount, KDB, Son
Barnes, Augero, Pukki
Bench: Button, Rico, Soyuncu, Hayden
There seems to be lot of problem with my team right now. I already used my wildcard around gw5. KDB is flagged right now and if he doesn’t play, should i play Rico against arsenal or soyuncu against city?
After spurs got demolished by munich, not sure how son and spurs will react this gw. Barnes is not performing. Augero might get rotated. What are your plans for this gw if KDB doesn’t play. Are you benching him or bringing someone like Mahrez? He has been excellent past 4 gws and shouldn’t be rotated if kdb is out for a while.
I am also feeling stuck with my team. Let me know your suggestions!

Hi. No problem. Frustrating with Aurier, affected my team also with Son. Don’t worry so much about the ranking, I think we can make up big leaps in the OR with the way this season has been so far.
That’s a tricky one with the bench, both have a difficult matchup so it’s not easy. Never know which Bournemouth will turn up. Leicester are in good form, but they will be tested this weekend. Maybe the smallest edge to Soyuncu in case both teams play it safe? Up to you.
Great question with KDB. If he misses this weekend, he will probably return after the international break. Need more time to think and there are other UCL games to come for surprises. Mahrez could be a good short-term replacement, especially if Bernardo is banned. But you might need a plan to buy back KDB as he is in his best form.
Not easy, but we can feel out the rest of the midweek games, get a bit more info on KDB, then reassess. 👍

Olá. Unlucky for Son with Aurier’s red card. KDB is a difficult one this week, Zinchenko might actually be ok after the initial scare with Mendy returning.
Don’t know about Pepe, let’s see how Arsenal play on Thursday and who starts as that could have an impact on the weekend. This weekend is a good opportunity vs. Bournemouth.

Thanks for your last piece of advice. This time I have a mega controversial question. What are your thoughts on having no Man City mids or fwds and going with both Mane and Salah instead and sticking for the season? It may sound like madness but I really think they’re fixture proof and at least you know they’re sure starters what with Pep Roulette proving a conundrum.

Hi! It can work, avoiding the risk altogether. We can watch all the games in the world, but if the player doesn’t play, the points are wasted. The problem is looking at the top scorers, and Man City are at the top for mids and forwards. Someone like KDB (doubt for GW8) isn’t likely to be rotated often, especially after the Norwich defeat.
You’re right about Salah+Mane being fixture-proof. I’m likely to play Pep roulette one more time, then reassessing during the IB.

I was wondering what you thought about my team for this GW8:

AWB (if fit) – Digne – Otamendi – Lundstram (Kelly)
Salah – Sterling – De Bruyne – Son – Mount
Pukki – (Wickham) – (Martinelli)
Using fntsypl.com as you suggested, I have noticed that 70% of my league own Abraham and I think to hedge against losing lots of points to my rivals, I need to own him as well.
How would you suggest getting him into the team? Pukki out and one another player out and take the -4 hit?
Any other suggestions to my team would be greatly appreciated!

AWB has clean sheet potential GW8, assuming he’s fit. Need an update closer to deadline as he is set to miss the Europa League game on Thursday.
Good point with Abraham in your league. If he’s pulling away in ownership while outscoring Pukki, then the answer would be more clear. At this very moment, I’m struggling to suggest selling Pukki because his scoring form at home is hard to ignore – three games: 17, 11, 12 points.
If Tottenham and Son don’t deliver, even if it’s reasons we can’t control like red cards, then this might be a way to tweak the forward spots. Digne also running out of time to deliver to his potential.

It looked a sound call with Aguero ahead of the curve, Pep Roulette bit hard is all.
I was tempted to follow but was looking at -8 hit or Wild carding to do it so stuck with it, and got similar points over two weeks combined to yourself.
Was looking at reducing L’pool but seems fixtures already turned good for them with mun & TOT up shortly :>

Hi. True, and it could’ve been even worse had Aguero not gotten the assist as a sub!
Liking the transfer plan, especially Wilson who has been consistent after a slow start. Curious as to how West Ham will cope without Fabianski. Other players in your transfer plan make sense.
No need for the WC at this moment, team is set and you have a solution for KDB because you got him early. 👍
