Hi Bruno,
Love the channel!
Having last minute doubts about my team.
It currently is
I had Vinagre but he’s on his way to Porto
Ziyech is now injured so I bought in Pulisic. Lampard says he’s available and been training. If he not starting then I may take a punt on Havertz
3-4-3 0ITB
McCarthy (Nyland)
TAA, Justin, Saiss (Branthwaite, Mitchell)
Salah, Auba (C), Alli, Pulisic (Gordon)
Werner, Mitrovic, Adams
I am tempted to go Salah-less as I won’t be captaining him the first few game weeks and his fixtures aren’t that great
3-4-3 – 2mill ITB
Ramsdale (Nyland)
TAA, Saiss, Walker-Peters (Taylor, Mitchell)
Auba (C), Son, Pulisic, Saint-Max, (Gordon)
Werner, Ings, Mitrovic
With the spread of funds I feel the defence is a lot more solid and I have more flexibility in mid and fwd to make moves quickly if needed. I have the funds to jump on city and utd players when in GW2/3.
What do you think?
Cheers
Luke

Hi Luke. Thanks! Nuno suggested Marçal will be eased into their system, so keep an eye on Vinagre developments. I may avoid him either way with the rotation risk and I may move for Wolves players around GW4 depending on form.
Can see the idea with no Salah. I might drop him GW2 if he doesn’t pull his weight, but decided to include him GW1 with his high ownership and captaincy stats.
Your Salah draft might provide an easy way to experiment with other premium assets without damaging hits or a Wildcard.
I also like the flexibility to improve team depth with the Ings team structure. If KWP doesn’t quite work, you have Taylor to step in or Justin as an alternative.
Both teams are strong in their own way. The main question is whether to leave out Salah initially. I made a compromise to start with him, then likely shift him out GW2. It’s a similar team structure to your Salah draft with elements from the no-Salah one (Ings instead Adams).
Difficult to point you in a set direction because Salah vs. no Salah can result in a big points swing. I’d be afraid to point say yes, then he blanks! You can always make adjustments with the team you choose.
Thanks for the comment! GW1 video: https://youtu.be/OEj63Ft5zRU

Hey Bruno! thx for sharing your latest team we have 8/11 same players so i guess its a good sign:D whats your take on Salah vs Auba captaincy? thx
Upper 90 Studios
11/09/20
Hey! I hope it works out for your team then! 🙂
Still undecided on Salah vs. Auba captaincy. I had it on Auba initially, then switched it to Salah for the video. Felt a little better on Auba, so I may end up going with the original instinct.
What I’m unsure about is the opponents. Don’t know much about Leeds except Bielsa who can spring a surprise. Fulham could struggle to keep out attackers like Auba and Willian, but I’m also calling up my memories from the last time they were in the top flight. I don’t know how much they’ve changed in recent seasons.

Great team that Bruno.
I’ve gone with a 442 with
Taa, Justin, dallas, Mitchell (taylor)
Auba, salah, son, soucek (oriel romeu)
Vardy; Werner (brewster)
Planning on taking a -4 hit in gw3 and get funds from Auba and vardy to deepen my squad
Good luck from a Danish guy living in Mallorca

Thanks. I like the 4-4-2 idea with value at the back to start the season.
I’m not very familiar with Dallas and can’t give a proper assessment. Prefer to watch a few games before rating him.
I agree with your plan to look into tightening up the weakest links in the near future. Unless they spring a surprise and punch above their weight! 👍 Either way, you’ve also included Taylor who can step in starting with GW2.
Forwards are well set and plan makes sense. If the weaker defenders step up, you could get off to a great start.
Denmark and Mallorca, love it. Good luck.

Hey Bruno!
Hope you got your well earned break during pre-season =) Personally I got kinda bored and made my own difficulty cheat sheet to learn excel. I also joined the Scottish Fantasy Football game and that has already been a nightmare due to game postponements because of COVID and I’ve been plagued with injuries and transfer news. This has led to me deciding that Wildcards in FPL should be held for as long as possible in case of emergencies cos of extra game postponements and I want to leave transfers as late as possible too. Also from last season I learned that I’m horrible at picking captains with 2/12 differential picks returning big points and the fact that I could’ve scored more point by doing a set and forget on the 11 highest scoring players in the game hehe.
I like the team you’ve created in the video, one thing I would like to add about the Villa GK question is that rumour has it that Villa have agreed a deal to sign Martinez from Arsenal with personal terms and transfer fee agreed to (source: The Independent). With that in mind I feel its best to pick a £4.0mil GK from another team with only 2 GKs. Was was in the Nyland camp too but now I’m picking Walton from Brighton as he is also has low ownership.
The team I’ve settled on atm is:
4-3-3 0ITB
McCarthy, (Walton)
Doherty, Dier, Walker-Peters, Mitchell, (Wan-Bissaka)
Aubameyang(C), Havertz, Rodriguez, (Fernandes, Foden)
Werner(VC), Mitrovic, Adams.
The plan has always been to fill my bench with Manchester players save a transfer GW2 if possible and bring in a City play for Auba GW3, in GW3 I may also do 3 transfers if it only costs -4points.
Originally I had Soucek and Ings instead of Rodriguez and Adams but since it’s looking unlikely Soucek is playing now, I reverted but to the team above. I could potentially bring in Bissouma instead so I could afford Ings but atm I think I’d rather gamble on Rodriguez hitting the ground running and Adams carrying on is good form.
This is also the first draft I’ve made without any Liverpool, wasn’t extremely keen on Salah or Mane over Auba this pre-season but I’ve found that dropping Trent frees up alot of budget for a more balanced and flexible team but am I crazy for going against Liverpool?!?!
Anyways I never got the chance to say thank you for your work last season, that was when I found your channel on YouTube and after trying to learn the game for a few seasons I’ve finally finished in the top 1mil for the first time with an OR 357K. I think your content defo helped throughout the season =D.
Good Luck for the season!!

Hey! Nice moves with the cheatsheet. Interesting with the Scottish league. Wonder if there will be an impact in England, especially during international breaks.
Good point on the Wildcards and noted on Martinez. I’ll keep an eye on any developments until the deadline. £4m GK from a team with only two GKs makes sense and can lower the risk of a price drop.
Top team with exciting players like Rodriguez. Adams can provide Saint cover at the start.
Know what you mean with Liverpool. I was making some drafts and it would always catch me off the guard, like “Oh I have no Liverpool players…” They have to deliver for the price as certain players like KDB and Fernandes can put up big numbers for less.
That’s a fantastic OR 357k! Congrats and thanks for the great comment. Good luck!

Ola Bruno
my team below let me know what you think , especially with the likes of Matheus Pereira and Mane. should i let go of Pereira(WBA) in order to fit in a reliable defender like Egan.
McCarthy/Nyland
TAA/KWP/Lascelles/Mitchell/Douglas.
Mane/Auba/Son/saint-maxi/Matheus Pereira
Werner/Ings/brewster.
Thanks
ALL THE BEST !

Ola. Liking the idea with Mane and Pereira, players you’re excited to watch. If they let you down, make an adjustment.
Team is well set. Bench is light to invest on the starters in the beginning, so keep options open with premium players freeing up funds to improve squad depth.
No major concerns other than the note on the bench. Mine is probably worse than yours.
Good luck!

welcome back! and good luck this season.
This is where i am. let me know your thoughts.
McCarthy, (Nyland)
TAA, Robo, Justin, KWP, (Lampetey)
Salah, Auba, SaintMaximin, (Reed, Bissouma)
Werner, Jiminez, DCL
idea is to play a 433 and rotate two 4.5s in defense. LEI and SOU rotate well. I will sell Auba after week 2 and go for KDB/Sterling or Fernandes. Will use funds to upgrade Justin (if he loses his place) to Doherty/Laporte or Auba-> KDB and Jimi->Martial.
Need help! Thanks…

I’ve already made a change. Ah!
Swapped Lamptey and Antonio for James (Che) and Adams (sou). West ham is full
Mutiny and schedule is horrible after week 1.

Wasn’t aware of something happening with West Ham until reading your comment and Pipshake.
In this case, every factor counts so make the changes you think will reduce risks.

Thanks! Solid GK+DEF. Can’t go wrong with Trent/Robbo. Mids and forwards are ready.
Liking the Jimenez pick. Haven’t seen enough drafts with him, but we know what he can do. The popular alternative is Ings, I’m assuming you want a differential in the mix.
Hard to improve it as is and the future plan is spot on. No help needed!

Hi Bruno
I hope you are well and raring to go! Great GW1 video and awesome to hear the U90S intro video again…it made me so excited that FPL is back again!
I have been tinkerring galore and eventually came up with this team:
Mcarthy, (Steer)
TAA, James, Walker-Peters, (Justin), (Ferguson)
Salah, Aubemeyang, Havertz, Ward- Prowse, (Soucek)
Vardy, Wilson, Mitrovic
My main strategy is to attack with fixtures, over more than 1 gameweek and target “hattrick” players and attacking defenders, with a strong bench over that period…a lot to fit into a team.My main player not included is Werner, as he plays Liverpool next and Vardy has two easier starting fixtures and has a good record against West Brom⚽⚽⚽.
Might swap him out for Werner at a later stage, whose price is lower. Havertz and James in so long for Chelsea cover.
1.What are your overall thoughts on my team?
2. Whats your thoughts on my Vardy vs Werner strategy?
2. Do you think its a better option to start Havertz over Pulisic?( unbiased view, as I know you a big Pulisic fan😀….so am I!)
3. What do think of Southampton defense double up? Would you recommend starting Walker Pieters over Justin?
4. Would you recommend starting Mitrovic over Soucek?
5. Captain choice..If I was bold I would go with Vardy, but might balance risk out with Aubemeyang… your views?
6. Do you think Reece James is likely to start?
7. I heard West Ham had some issues in their camp, targeting them with Wilson. Your thoughts on Wilson?. He should be on penalties too hopefully.
7. Any other suggestions for my team to improve it or glaring issues?
Your valuable feedback and insights would be appreciated.

I just realised I can swop Havertz/ Wilson for ASM/Werner, as that combo is the same price.
What do you think of my team then?

Hi. Ready! One final decision remaining for my side, captaincy. That’s funny with the video intro. 🙂
1. Saw your other comment and can say that Werner might be the key decision with his 50% ownership. Then again, I can understand the idea with Havertz as cover.
2a. Super close for different reasons. Vardy likes to score against West Brom as you mentioned. Werner not yet proven in the PL, although he seems like a great fit with his style. Vardy is the riskier option, Werner’s ownership stats make him the safe pick. Depends on your mood!
2b. Don’t know enough about Havertz to assess him properly. Seems promising if he plays that attacking midfielder role. It’s possible he’s adaptable to many roles which could be a strength for Lampard, less for us in FPL if he drops deeper to help the team. Maybe I won’t need to choose between Pulisic and Havertz… take both if this Chelsea attack works as anticipated.
3. Completely stumped on this one! They are super close in points potential and I’m afraid whoever I suggest could get benched!
4. Mitrovic is great in the air and only two teams conceded more goals from set pieces than Arsenal last season. Both were relegated. Leaning toward Mitro, but Soucek is a quality option for the price. Smallest risk of Soucek coming off the bench after the COVID issue.
5. Aubameyang has form, fixture and new contract. 👍
6. Don’t know. Azpilicueta is such a consistent player. Won’t even try to guess this one!
7a. Wilson was below his best for most of last season. Of course that was Bournemouth who had their own issues, so it’s hard to predict. Penalties are a bonus in his favor.
7b. Ferguson. Hodgson said he has an “important knee injury” so it would be worth finding out how long he’ll be out. If it’s days/weeks, it could work to be patient. Longer and it might need a closer look.
The option with Werner is safe, a strategy that tends to work at the start. No guarantees of course, and your options are all strong that I’m struggling to pick between them. 🙂

Hi Bruno, saw your team.. i think the bench may be very important this season..
given the condensed season, and coronavirus, there will be players who may miss games.. it is inevitable.
having a good bench is going to make or break your season. Food for thought.
Upper 90 Studios
12/09/20
Hi. Think you’re right, especially around international breaks when players are traveling.
The current plan is to start chipping away at the bench possibly from GW2 if there are too many surprises GW1. The first round of games should uncover a few bargains.
Appreciate the heads up.

Hi bruno!!
Hope you doing well with this bloody pandemic.. Wishing you and your family safe and sound.. So back to the fpl team.. This is my current team:
Mccarthy(steer)
Justin davies TAA(Douglas, Braithwaithe)
Auba Mane Barnes Maximin
Mitrovic Ings Werner
I would like to ask some suggestions here:
1. Is it safe that im not picking son here.. He have some nice fixtures for the next 4 games.. He might punish me here by not picking.. So i have one spurs asset in davies which is not ideal to me but i have some cover there..
2. I have 1.5 million in the back for some flexibility later when man utd and man city assets comes in.. So my plan would be switching auba > kdb/sterling and barnes> greenwood..
3. I would have some ideas later to change ings or werner if they don’t perform.. Mybe change them to martial mybe or batshuayi who is great shout to me..
Let me know some suggestions later!! Thank you bruno!!

Hi! We’re all doing well, thanks for asking.
Excellent team, would be afraid to face off against it head-to-head. 💯
1. Hard to fit everyone in at the start, so it’s smart to have some cover just in case. You could also keep a plan in mind to get him in case he does well GW1.
2. Liking the future plan for key United and City assets. Transfer plan makes sense.
3. This could be also be a solution for Son depending on performances.
No changes needed! You know the main questions and can make adjustments if needed. It’s ready. 👍

Ola Bruno
I have been doing lots of tinkering with my team. I maybe have finally found something that i like and is somewhat a safe team. Below is my team
McCarthy (Steer)
TAA, Justin, KWP (Taylor, Douglas)
Salah (C), Auba, Havertz, Alli, ASM
Wener, Adams (Davis)
I am going with 3-5-2 and have 0.5 in the bank. I plan to rotate kwp, justin and taylor for the 2 spots. What do you think of this team? I really want pulisic but there is a chance that he might not start. Havertz looks like he will start.
Other option i am thinking is to downgrade Havertz to a 4.5 mid and upgrade Davis to DCL. This would give me 2m in the bank, which i can use to upgrade KWP to either Van Dijk or Doherty. In this case i would pay 3-4-3
McCarthy (Steer)
TAA, Justin, VanDijk/Doherty (Taylor, Douglas)
Salah, Auba, Alli, ASM (Fodder)
Werner, DCL, Adams
Which team do you like better and please give any feedback you can.
Thank you!
Upper 90 Studios
12/09/20
Ola. Good idea with Taylor on hold and set for rotation if needed. Team is excellent overall.
Yes, Pulisic may start from the bench GW1 after a bad hamstring injury. Havertz is exciting with Chelsea’s new attack that was already strong before the new additions. Never know 100% who will start GW1, but both should be nailed in the long-run.
Two excellent teams, struggling to pick one. Havertz has top potential with Chelsea’s attack, slightest risk he could be eased in from the bench GW1. DCL and Everton are also coming in with an upgrade to their attackers, except this plan might sneak in an extra bench player. Probably won’t be someone for rotation (Taylor is), but every factor helps.
Hard to point you in a set direction. Both are ridiculously close in terms of scoring potential and I’d remember for the entire weekend if the one player I suggest blanks and the other scores! 🙂
Those are the notes for now. Appreciate the comment and your thoughts on the players.
