Hi Bruno,
Great week man, all your moves paid off it seems.
I am in a bit of a predicament (180k OR, 0.8 ITB, 1 FT)
GK: Pope
DEF: Cancelo/James/Trippier (Neco/Schär bench)
MID: KDB/Gordon/Martinelli/Bailey (Andreas bench)
FWD: Mitro/Kane/Haaland
What do do with KDB ? Not the greatest game with UTD and possible rotation risk against Soton next GW. I am thinking about replacing him with Maddison or Salah. Madders has the fixtures and form to boot, whereas Salah is Salah, albeit with difficult games ahead.
What is your take on that ?

Hi. Thanks, finally a decent score after a slow start to the season.
That’s a tough one. I understand because I’ve been considering KDB out for Salah c this week. One difference is I already have Maddison, and my plan would potentially bring KDB back in GW10 using a FT. This works for my team structure, but yours is different with an extra premium defender.
I might rate all three mids with similar potential GW9-GW10. If the long-term solution is one of KDB/Salah + Maddison, an option would be to bank the transfer and have 2FTs next week with more information to build toward that new team structure.
For my team, I’m leaning toward KDB GW9-GW10 but it’s not 100% set. I’ll post the final decision on the GW9 blog post before deadline. 👍
It’s not an easy one because the team structure allows for one player out of three that can do well.

Hi Bruno
Hope you are well buddy and had a fabulous birthday!
We share the same birthday month 😊.
Interesting video, with the KDB/Salah/ Son hokey kokey🔥.
Made me rethink my strategy going forward.
Below is how my GW9 team looks like. With Zaha close to a price rise overnight used my 1 FT for Kulu➡️Zaha( 1 week earlier than planned), as Kulu was still to pass a late fitness test.
Pope (Ward)
Cancelo, Trippier, Perišić (Andersen, Patterson)
Zaha, Foden, Martinelli, Maddison (Andreas)
Mitrović, Kane (VC), Haaland (C)
Bank: £1.1m
Im hoping Zaha, Maddison,Foden can match Salah, KDB,Jesus, as they are my main competitors at high EOs.
My main consideration is whether Maddison vs Forest’s leaky defence could outscore Haaland vs a rejuvenated Man United defence🤔.
With 2 derbies and some close matches, there is a good chance this could be a low scoring gameweek.
Looking for any small advantage.
Any thoughts on my team and any other changes you would suggest?
PS: Well done Bruno on releasing your videos weekly again this season! You wont believe it how many people love your content.
Would you ever consider doing live streams or bringing on other big FPL content creators on your videos, to grow your channel more?
Many people I know, think you are majorly underated and undersubscribed!

The Maddison vs Haaland comment above was in relation to captaincy.
On Haaland, but thinking about Maddison.

Maddison is a strong captain pick. For my team at the moment, I’m sticking to the highest ceiling captains like Haaland and Kane, or Salah/KDB/Son.

Hi. Doing well, great birthday thanks! Happy birthday haha.
Can understand the move for Zaha. Maddison and Foden have similar potential as your competitors so don’t worry.
United are working hard as a team, City can smash 3-4 goals against anyone = difficult to predict.
If Arsenal take the game to Tottenham at the Emirates, there could be goals for both sides. If they sit deeper, it could be a slow one. Arsenal are playing with confidence, so there’s a good chance they’ll go for it.
No changes needed for your team that is well-balanced. In the longer-run, to consider the Salah/KDB/Son hokey kokey, it might be easier to target around Blank GW12 for a possible switch in team structure using free transfers.
With the videos, the views seem to be down from previous seasons. But I’d rather have what I have now – loyal and supportive people each week. 👍 I like that I can put out lots of information in <10 minutes. Even my songs are like 1.5 minutes long haha. Maybe if the livestreams were short and punchy? 🙂
Some of the big content creators now used to comment regularly on Upper 90 Studios when it was just the blog back in 2013-15. I'm still in contact with some, but they may not like it when I call out the experts nearly every video! I'm sure they understand it's calling out the group-think aspect of the game, the template, and no one individually. 🙂

Thanks for the feedback on my team. Reassuring to get some confirmation bias 😊.
I will probably keep the captain on Haaland, might be too risky not captaining Haaland with his EO and watch him play not expecting any returns😬. Any Maddison returns will be a bonus!
Yeah, good point on considering to pivot to Salah and co midfield-premiums after GW12.
On the short videos, I think it is the latest social media trends, so quite relevant. A punchy 30 minute Q & A stream or final team selection will be cool, if you are up for it. Livestreaming content has also risen in demand.
Dont worry, Im sure the big content creators dont take you calling out the experts personally. Keep up challenging the template👊🏼.
Youtube shorts 1 min quick videos are also going viral, with FPL also growing there now!
Have you decided on KDB vs Salah for GW9 yet?
Its close as Salah has a decent record vs Brighton, but KDB zonal match up is good against Man U.
Good luck for GW9 and wishing you big green arrows👍🏼!

Know what you mean with Haaland. He’s my vice for now, but I’m still thinking. I only listened to the live audio commentary for the City game and it wasn’t easy knowing I didn’t captain him. 🙂
Leaning toward rolling the transfer so I have 2FTs next week. Hard to justify selling KDB when he can raise his game against the bigger teams, and he has a good fixture GW10. Salah may need to wait until around BGW12. I’ll finalize it in the morning, which will be 5am here!
Liking all the suggestions with the different types of content. The shorts in particular since they are popular.
The hurricane should come at some stage Saturday, we like to be prepared just in case. Thanks and good luck!!! 💯

Hey Bruno!
Glad to see your wildcard got a big points haul. The less said about my GW8 the better lol. Here’s my team for GW9:
£1.0mil ITB, 1FT
Ward.
Trippier, Walker, Emerson.
Salah, B.Silva, Martinelli, Aaronson.
Haaland, Kane, Toney.
(Sanchez, Andreas, Perisic, Zanka.)
I think my teams main weakness right now is I have 4 rotation risks in defence and Trippier who’s injury prone.
My transfer this week will likely be Zanka OUT Dalot IN but if I do bring in Dalot he’ll likely stay on the bench against Man City, so do I just roll over my transfer? Generally I’m just a bit stuck with how to invest in the defence.
Another idea I’ve been toying with is bringing in Ederson for Ward, whilst also ditching Walker for a 4.5mil. Sanchez will have more difficult fixtures that he can be benched for but plays Forest when Ederson blanks in GW12. The downside is that it’ll use all my budget and I’m still stuck with 2 4.0mil defenders. I could either drop B.Silva or Toney but by this point I’m a few weeks away from fixing the problems I have now. Should I keep faith in Sanchez and Ward?
Thanks for your continued help this season and wish you green arrows =)

Hey! Thank you, hope your team bounces right back GW9.
I’m still not 100% caught up on United assets including Dalot. I had an idea for Digne while his fixtures were green, but he’s injured. I’m curious about Justin at his price, for your team if you keep Ward, it would be a double up on a shaky defense. I have Tete on my Watchlist, assist last week but I’m not sure how Fulham will integrate the two new wingers Willian and Dan James. A Crystal Palace DEF around blank GW12 is another idea.
Maybe it could be upgrading one of the weaker starting defenders to a more reliable option. I have Cancelo+Trippier+budget DEF, all 3 are pretty nailed.
It’s harder to make predictions after such a long break which affects form. For that reason, I like the idea of rolling the transfer. It’s like we’re starting fresh and anything can happen right after the IB and GW8 postponements.
Ederson could work, not sure if it’s better to move out Sanchez for the extra funds? Your call on this one. I can see the issue with City BGW12. Leicester actually have an opportunity to tighten things up defensively with favorable fixtures, but it’s a stretch. Pope has 64% ownership with the experts, he’s somewhat of a threat in that aspect. Then there are budget differentials Leno, maybe Raya.
Agree with you with the timing, keeping Bernardo or Toney now. I’m using a £4.3m DEF and £4.7m MID as starters this week, curious to see if that can work long term.
Maybe it’s time for a miracle gamble on Ward? Then work with 2FTs and more info from another round of games. We will see how Brighton set up with the new manager.
Those are some thoughts for now. Thanks for the great comment. 👍

Hi Bruno
l hope your GW went well, l did see you went Salah Capt!! But you did get the Maddison haul…..:-)
Apologies l missed last week’s catch up, that thing called work got in the way.
So not having used my WC yet l rode my luck and over GW8/9 l haven’t loss too much ground to those that did so l feel vindicated in holding off, scoring 51 & 98pts.
GW9 Key highlights were Bowen, Trippier, Ward’s lucky clean sheet and Haaland the beast, has to be a perma Capt, with Arsenal’s duo of Martinelli / Jesus chipping in returns.
On Sunday l was flying until Maddison’s haul which really hurt, so l have to get him now and hopefully Leicester are turning the corner and great fixtures!!
Here’s my team below OR 101K/ITB £0.0/2FT’s
Ward – Sanchez
TAA / Cancelo / James / Trippier / Williams
KDB / Bowen / Martinelli – Andreas / Dasilva
Haaland / Mitrovic / Jesus
l will be dead ending my team GW12 and WC GW13, so here’s the plan assuming no CL injuries and Mitrovic’s injury is not serious and could live with him missing one game anything more l may has to reassess.
l also have 5 players from City and Arsenal so l need to manage the GW12 blank and plan to keep Haaland and Martinelli as l have cash tied up in both and bench them, so the plan is;
GW10 – TAA / Dasilva / Jesus – OUT
Jesus > C. Wilson – l could go Toney, but feel he is a more clinical finisher as long as he keeps fit and Newcastle are on the up and 2 good home fixtures in the next 3.
TAA > 4.4-4.3 Defender – can’t see Liverpool keeping a clean sheet somehow and then City next, but he will probably come back when l WC.
For his replacement l looking at Guehi/Tarkowski or Justin / Castagne for attacking threat although they would be first bench – who would you go for Bruno if any?
Dasilva > Maddison – l have considered Zaha, but over the years when l have brought him in he has been disappointing
GW11 – Roll the transfer
GW12 – 2FT’s
KDB > Salah
Cancelo > 6.9
All the best

Hi. Somehow managed green arrows despite just 55 points before Leicester on Monday.
Your team is averaging 75 points in the last two games while saving the Wildcard. 👍
Ward came up with a few great saves, but the defense was shaky once again. Can’t believe they did it, first clean sheet of the season.
Haaland is a monster, two more goals midweek in just 45 minutes.
I’m leaning toward keeping Mitrovic if he recovers for one game. Wilson is proven and excellent if he stays fit.
From the four, I might say it’s close between Guehi and Castagne. I’m aiming at a Crystal Palace defender for the fixture swing around GW12-GW13. On Monday, Justin was at times playing as a third center-back, then he’d push up on occasion. Castagne is more in the wing-back role closer to attacking returns.
Same here with Zaha, great player but I haven’t had much luck with him over the years.
Seems like the plan is strong. New GW10 video below. -Bruno
