Hello Bruno, thanks for your reviews, I have one question and need your opinion.
What do you think about transfer in Haaland instead of Kane for a -4 hit now? And downgrade Henderson to Ward?
Or other option to save a transfer, and look for a one more gameweek to see how things going?

I’m usually more aggressive with transfers at the start of the season, so it’s ok to make an adjustment even if it means a hit or two. It’s still super early.
Tottenham scored four goals, so I might accept the risk it may not pay off straight away. But I would think long-term, taking into account Haaland’s higher ownership with strong FPL managers (68% to 24%).
It could work to go with the flow early on. The main question is where to free up funds as Leicester were super shaky defensively.
I’m looking at upgrading my starting GK in the coming weeks, unless Ward can bring in a few points. I justified going with 2x £4m GKs by thinking I’d watch a few games then make a change once I have a better assessment of the goalkeepers.
I would say it’s less about the -4 and more about where to make a cut. If you’re confident with the rest of your players, then that might be the best solution for now.

My GW1 yielded 70 points, could have been better, if I never made a late switch to Cash. But you cant get all the decisions correct, whats the fun then hey😊!
After seeing how impressive Zinchenko was GW1 and bombing upfront a lot, made a switch from Cash to Zinchenko, before price rise for GW2. Arsenal also have great fixtures, after Leicester, so its a longterm move.
Team for GW2 is currently:
Ederson (Ward)
James, Zinchenko, Alexander-Arnold, Dias, Robertson
Saka, Salah (VC), Bailey (Andreas, Dasilva)
Jesus, Haaland (C) (Archer)
My goal this season is a 1k rank, to improve on my past season best of 5k. To do that, I need to plan , scout more to “upgrade my mind”😉 and try to think in advance of the pack, where possible for some key big players and remove weakspots.
One weakspot is Bailey.
For GW3 I hope to roll a transfer and GW4 upgrade Bailey to Aaronson or Rodrigo. Possibly via downgrading Dias to Walker…..I assume he is closed to nailed on currently?
I also have Saka like you and heard that ESR is back in training, so hoping Saka over Martinelli might still be a masterstroke, if ESR gets minutes soon.
Thoughts on my current team and future plan being considered or would you recommend any alternative options?

Congrats on the fast start 70pts and I like the transfer to take advantage of the fixtures.
Leeds are playing an exciting attacking style once again, so I like your scouting. Aaronson came out firing, I need to learn more about him. If forced to pick, I’d choose Dias over Walker, but I understand the change to upgrade the weak points.
I’m happy to keep Saka, assuming he doesn’t spend too much time in his own box! He’ll be fine.
Your team is excellent and the plan makes sense. The only other idea, which is super risky given player ownership, is having a backup plan in case Jesus fails to deliver. If his price collapses, the extra funds might get you to Nunez. This is dependent on form and anything can happen, so we’ll have to wait and figure it out.
I’m still stunned by your OR last season 5k and I hope you reach your new target 🙂

Hi Bruno, its great to see you back on here. I wanted to run an idea past you. I hit the wc button after seeing gw1, I could be mad, but just felt right. Im also thinking of going without Salah and make Haaland my go to captain. Thoughts?

I’ve done the early Wildcard a few times and know the feeling. You’ll probably be catching all the price changes which is a plus.
Going without Salah was one of my first thoughts for this season. I had Son instead with better balance than my current team.
After GW1, it’s a bit harder. Salah had an off day and still banged in 12pts. But my team overall scored below the average, so I can see your logic. It’s not about any single player.
Haaland is a top captain after that performance, and could be the best player we’ve seen since, well, Salah! Haha.
That’s why it’s not super easy without seeing your team, which is ok if you’re not ready building it yet. 👍

No problem! The website could use some upgrades.
I love the team. The only note might be Gundo for the rotation risk, but you can trust your instinct as he slotted back into the system smoothly.
Small note on Bowen. Antonio didn’t look super sharp and I’m not sure if he was carrying a knock as he went down a few times. But they signed a new attacker and could be less dependent on Antonio anyway.

Hey! Doing great, thanks. I watched Patterson in person a few weeks ago. The younger players at Everton made the starters look ordinary. Of course that’s just one pre-season game!
I’ve seen some lineup predictions with Bailey benched GW2, but if he starts he has good potential.
It’s a coin toss because there are many unknowns. I might say a chance for Bailey if there’s a lineup leak that he’s starting? But I like Patterson also especially for £4m.

1: I saw the Fulham Lipool game and I can deduce that Fulham looked really sharp in attack and Andreas was unlucky to get an attacking return soo they play Wolves who have at the back lost Coady
Do you think I should start him over James? Considering James plays a very attacking Spurs side
So cleansheet potentially lost…
2: Captaincy
I brought in Haaland for Kane to avoid the price rise as I had nothing itb

1. I’m not expecting a clean sheet for James because as you said they’re facing an attacking side. But he did put in 17 crosses GW1, so there’s a potential for an attacking return. If forced to pick for my team, I might choose James, but it’s super close. I am actually starting both since Andreas can also provide an assist or two to Mitrovic. And as you mentioned, Wolves may not be as solid as they were after losing their captain. Super close, sorry I can’t pick one definitely for your team 🤔
2. Leaning toward Haaland with a better fixture, although Liverpool should put in a real shift at Anfield. Another close decision and I will post my final team and captain at the top of the page before deadline. Still thinking, but I’m currently on Haaland.

Already thinking ahead to GW3 the main problem I am having is with my captain choice. Currently I have Haaland as my captain but I think Salah may return big against Man United and then there is the headache that is Jesus against Bournemouth.

I’m more than happy with my squad, I made my transfer from Bailley to Dasilva last night before the price change so my squad value is 99.9 with 0.5m in the bank. I am aiming to try and get enough funds in the bank for my wildcard week whilst still being competitive in my leagues, I am currently sitting 330K In the world before the Sunday and Monday fixtures. What transfers could I look to moving forward

Thanks! Glad to finally be back.
I had Haaland set as captain. Then as I was editing the new GW3 video, I ended up not showing my captain on the video. The reason is the same as you, Salah is up against United who are in all sorts of trouble. Since I’ve already done a few too many decisions with my transfers this week, I want to wait until I have more information before deciding who gets the armband.
Liking your move to beat the price changes that are happening faster than ever. 👍
I don’t see any transfers to consider at this stage for your team. Possibly Neto, but it’s hard to find someone reliable at this price point. I have Rodrigo on my Watchlist.
