***UPDATE: Transfer plan in the video is scrapped with the KDB injury news. All three contrarian plays out the window! New plan is to shift in Barkley as a differential against Wildcards on Grealish and Watkins. Starting eleven feels light without the extra high-ceiling player, so Kane comes in (confirmed before Friday night price changes). 59 points for gw 5 not bad considering i had 4 suspension and injury doubts with my anti-lewin differential richarlison getting sent off not good news ! along with this and other factors in have decided to pull the trigger last night on the wild card sadly im missing out on Martinez thou i can still fit him in with cuts here and there.

as you can see its a good team with some discrepancies…

4 Jimenez even with his goal he looked abit off it , reliable though
5 No united i mean its no big concern just they are popular so dont want the prices to get out of hand especially with rashford who im preferring over bruno cause of the saving of 1m mainly.

Ola. That’s unreal with the players unavailable. Haha that’s funny with DCL. It’s ok, you can make it unique with a different player soon.
1. Prefer Martinez with Aston Villa’s defensive record, but McCarthy does have a few decent fixtures that may work in his favor.
2. Can never tell which of the two will score.
3. Pulisic has a high ceiling, tough fixture to predict next.
4. Agree with you.
5. They were impressive against PSG, although Martial is suspended for a few more games in the league.
I might also give the edge to Jimenez as he’s scoring even while Wolves are in poor attacking form. When they hit form, it’s on.
Martinez has the edge, but it’s not easy without a significant cut. You also have Konsa for cover…
Some options could be Pulisic to x, but I wouldn’t be able to suggest this with confidence because Pulisic can score against any team. Another idea might be double Leeds defenders Ayling and Dallas, but it might not be worth it with the risk and it’s probably not enough funds anyway.

Great content as usual. Love your vids!
Took a -8 to bring in McGinn and Kane for Davis and KDB. I had previously used my FT to swap Douglas for Mitchell to avoid the price drop and hike.
Luckily the gamble paid off, with 93 points, first time getting into 150K OR after only after having played FPL for the past 2 seasons.
My current team is:
McCarthy (Steer)
Saiss TAA Mitchell (Justin)
McGinn Salah Son Rodriguez (Anguissa)
Kane Werner DCL (Branthwaite)
with 0.5 ITB.
I am thinking of swapping McCarthy for Martinez (missed the price raise =(….)
What are your thoughts on using a FT for swapping keepers?
My team feels unbalanced, but given the amount of goals scored this season, cheap defenders don’t seem to be a bad thing. Would you agree with that?
I got Werner at 9.5 and he has dropped to 9.3. Given he has finally scored, and Chelsea’s fixtures aren’t too bad, I am inclined to keep him. I think he would fancy his chances against United, and the next 3 fixtures after that ain’t too bad. Thinking of holding on to him until after the Leads game.
Do you have any suggestions on how I could improve my team? Swap the keeper or bank the FT?

I swapped out the keepers. McCarthy to Martinez and I may take a hit to touch up the defense.
It’s ok to go light at the back on current form, mine is even more unbalanced. But we’re starting to see the smallest shift with the Monday games, both could’ve finished 0-0 with clean sheets and defenders on bonus points. Worth keeping future plans in mind just in case.
Werner earned another game after the 16 points. Difficult fixture next, but you’re right about the fixtures after. There are options below his price range that are easy to switch to and this would free up funds for other changes like the idea up investing more at the back.
No changes required, just the GK option this week which I’ve already done for my team. Up to you. 🙂
