🚨 Final GW8 Team! 🚨
TRANSFERS OUT: Rashford, Ings
TRANSFERS IN: Grealish, Calvert-Lewin
***UPDATE: Early move for Grealish to beat the price rise, late change on Ings after the press conferences. Ings injury means a rethink of the team structure and differentials. The plan is to use another round of information, then go on the attack with £3.1m in the bank. Don’t forget the early deadline on Friday! Thanks for watching and good luck!!! 👍💯 -Bruno

Ola. I didn’t see any updates on Lamptey, but he is hot at the moment if fit. Digne and Rodriguez are back which could increase Keane’s chance of an attacking return from set pieces. Maybe bench Keane vs. United? Not sure about this one.
Leaning toward Kane. 45min midweek… scored a goal and an assist, hit the post and had a big chance seconds into the game. Son could also work, no issues if you prefer him.

Hi Bruno
Sorry l haven’t been in touch recently and hope all is well with you.
Well where do l start in the 7 years l have been taking FF seriously this is the worst start EVER to a season, every move l make is the wrong move, example GW2 Son out to Rashford say no more and it goes on and only one green arrow so far!!
Anyway l will be using the WC tonight and this gives me 2 weeks to mull over what to do and below is my current team and l made the move to exit Rashford to Grealish.
ITB 2.5M – OR 2.6M
McCarty (Steer)
Robbo / Lamptey /Justin / W-Peters – (Mitchell)
Salah / Grealish / Zaha / Son – (Bissouma)
Kane / Jimenez – (Brewster)
l am considering taking a -4pt hit although it’s approx 300k drop if it doesn’t work, but from where l am standing it could be worth a punt?
The options l am considering are;
1. Bissouma > Bowen for their game against Fulham – l would have gone for Antonio but l think he is out until after the international break.
2 Bissouma > Foden/Jota – minutes are an issue for both and played 69/65 mins in CL, but l can see goals for both teams?
3. Brewster > Bamford his form is impressive and scored a couple of great goals against Villa for his hat trick.
4. Jimenez > Vardy he may well be in my WC team, though his home form is a bit off, but can score against any team on his day.
Look forward to hearing from you and let me know your thoughts on the options and whether it’s worth the risk?
l am working on a few options for the WC and l will be asking your advise next week!!
All the best and keep up the great work.

Hi Malc. No worries. Good to be away sometimes.
I’m on a -4 hit already and prepared for another average week before I can make another attack with differentials.
1. Bowen made my Watchlist quite a few times toward the end of last season. It could be even better with Antonio, but can still work.
2. Either can work. There’s a buzz around Jota and I might give him an edge on form. Of course the fixture makes it harder to predict and it’s possible he could still come off the bench this week. Not that he can’t deliver from the bench…
3. I was stunned at his missed chances GW7 after such a clinical performance the previous week. I’m happy to give him another chance, but it made me less confident suggesting him for others. The major positive is Leeds work hard to create chances. If he puts them away, his ceiling exceeds his value.
4. Two quality options for FPL. It could take some games for Jimenez to gel with Podence, but the big plus is Wolves were strong in the attack GW7. Vardy has a small concern with managing niggling injuries. But his ceiling is one of the highest in the game.
Harder without Antonio. I might pick out Options 2 or 3, but really any of your ideas can work. It’s been so unpredictable that I’m not super confident.
Thanks! -Bruno

Hello Bruno,
Hope all is well and you retain the positive attitude to FPL despite the setback – this has been an inspiration to me?
My Squad is as follows:
GK: Martinez (Miazek)
DEF: Robbo / James / Justin / KWP (Douglas)
MID: Salah / Son / Zaha / Grealish (Bissouma)
FWD: Kane / Jimenez / Wilson
Have 0.3 ITB and 2 FT
Option 1: Justin for Coufal
(Banking on WH good fixtures.)
Option 2: Robbo for Chilwell
(Giving up on LIV defenders and banking on Chelsea good fixtures next 2 game. Also Chilwell as long-term option)
Option 3: Robbo for Chilwell and Justin for Creswell
(Fixing the defense but giving up flexibility to change f.e Wilson to DCL without a hit)
What option sounds the most reasoble, also in light of the following international break?
BTW settled on captainin Son.
Thanks a lot and stay safe.

Hello. Thank you for the message.
Any of your options can work. The hard part is choosing one.
Option 1: Straight-foward option for the reason you mentioned. The only small note is Antonio is still out, but he makes for the perfect target.
Option 2: It could work short-term with the fixture GW8. I have a Liverpool premium defender and Chilwell. I’m not quite ready to drop Trent, but I can understand others making a move to Chelsea defenders. This one is harder for me to assess because I’m working on the long-term plan for my team.
Option 3: Not sure if Cresswell had a minor groin problem in training? Seems to have shaken it off according to Moyes. Since this news, I’ve remembered that he doesn’t have the safest record with muscle injuries. The positives are Cresswell is excellent at set pieces and if he plays out wide, he could provide attacking returns. Not sure if he’s been playing more in a 3 center-back system this season with Masuaku on the wing… need to research it a bit.
Future flexibility is another factor. In my case, I’m freeing up funds with the transfers until I can spot the best way to go on the attack. It could result in a lower score initially, but I would be patient to combine scores from 2-3 Gameweeks.
Any can work, I might say it’s between Options 1 or 2 with a bonus of 2FTs for the IB.
Those are the notes for now. Just realized deadline is in 30min! Thanks for the comment 👍

Hi Bruno
I hope you are well. I like your bold FPL strategy. Its all about fun and enjoying the game at the same time!
After a surprisingly better than expected GW7, with 68 points, I made 2 transfers already, Jota and Ziyech, for Sterling and Stephens, before price rises. I also like playing an attacking style FPL. Whats the use, if theres no fun!😀
My team is as follows:
Martinez, (Forster)
Chillwell, Lamptey, Sais*, ( Kilman), (Dunne)
Salah, Son, Grealish, Ziyech, Jota
Kane, Bamford, (DCL)
1. Is Lamptey likely to start?
2. With uncertainty around Sais, I was thinking of bringing in Reece James, with Chelsea’s good fuxtures and his attacking potential. Do you think though he will play?. If he doesn’t then…..I still have Kilman on bench to play.
3. Other option for Sais, is Cresswell, with West Ham being on form and good fixtures and Cresswell getting back into his prior years’ form. Who would you recommend between James and Cresswell, if you would suggest a transfer for either?
4. Which forward to bench out of Jota, Bamford, DCL?. Ive gone with DCL on bench , as I think Man United might bounce back. Also not sure how fit Rodriguez is , but Digne is also back. Your views?.
5. Captain….Easy one this week. …..Can we look beyond Kane?
Your valued feedback on the above would be appreciated.
Good luck and wishing you a great gameweek 8.

Hi. I was going over all the accounts and messages that missed this comment, sorry! Such a weird deadline this early on a Friday.
That’s a fantastic score last week, 68 points nice work! 👏
1. I vaguely saw that it was fatigue-related and only cramp?
2. Like this idea. Saiss could be a rotation risk with many players vying for starts on the left.
3. Prefer James, but either can work. I mentioned on some comments below that I’m not sure if Cresswell has been playing more in a 3-centerback system. It could be even better if he moves out wide. But he also has set pieces and could be a top option with fixtures once Antonio returns.
4. Now I’m glad I didn’t answer this one because I’m completely stuck! 🙂 Initial feeling could be to bench Jota in case he’s benched one last game. But he can still do some damage off the bench.
4. Targeting West Brom’s defense. Kane was a beast midweek. Goal, assist, should’ve scored just seconds in and he hit the post… all in 45min of action. Son also did well when he came on as a sub and has a high ceiling. Kane is the safe and top pick, Son a strong gamble with a high payoff.
Good luck! -Bruno

Hi Bruno,
Hope you did well this gameweek 😉 Despite some unfortunate mistakes like the Chelsea’s defense error against the Blades (which caused Mendy to lose his CS points) and despicable referring from Kavanagh (which robbed the duo Klich-Bamford from the double), I somehow managed to score 67 points (took -8).
Although Maupay has magically returned to the squad I was right to replace him for Che Adams (7pts), although with egoistic Armstrong, it might be challenging to get more points from him. Ziyech was outstanding, too bad I didn’t captain him. Son (C!) gave me only a CS bonus, should’ve chosen Kane as you did – Spurs are being deflated. Mane at least “showed” that he was present against Man City (5pts), but not at the price of Salah taking the damn penalty :p Now without TAA and rather “lucky” LFC performance with sluggish Shaqiri; whose appearance seemed to honour the 1:1 draw and take it as a blessing, I don’t know what to do with both Robertson and Mane. The same question goes for the Guardiola side (I’ve been thinking about transferring KDB back for those “easier” fixtures late November, early December… but no comment after his penalty). Richarlison should be back after the international break so Rodriguez could get back on track to scoring (how the absence of one player might change the team’s display).
How would you assess the current team and where should I focus on any changes?
Mendy (2)/McCarthy
Robertson (2)/Chillwell (8)/Cresswell (6)/Kilman/Dunne
Mane (5)/Son (2×3)/Ziyech (11!)/”Hamez”/Klich (4)
Kane (9)/Bamford (7)/Che Adams (7)

Hi Kamil,
Apologies for the late reply. I was taking a break from the game and just got back today.
Yes, Chelsea should’ve kept another clean sheet and I agree with you that Bamford/Klich were robbed.
This is a late reply… Hopefully you’ve kept Mane as Salah has Covid. Robertson could be ok to keep, but I can also understand an investment of funds in the attack. KDB is on my Watchlist.
Your team is in solid shape compared to others with flagged/injured players. 👍 The only minor notes you mentioned already. Keeping a close eye on Robertson and a possible investment of funds in the attack. For example, if Son fails to deliver while KDB scores, then it makes the transfer easier to justify.

Wish I could take a break from this horror game for a while (a PhD student here) 😀
I’ve decided to do nothing, it seems that all my players are fit to play this game week (both Chilwell & Robertson) and I keep my fingers crossed for another CS for the Blues! My only concern is the captain… I’m torn between these folks: Kane/Mane/Ziyech.
Just like you said, it might be a right moment to sell Robertson either if LFC fails to secure another clean sheet (which is quite probable against Leicester), or he falls short to contribute to the final result (an assist to Mane or score a goal). Specifically, I’m considering the purchase of Grealish (AVL) and get an alternative at the back. Ferran Torres (Man City) is also tempting after what he’s done against Germany but it’s hard to predict what’s in Guardiola’s mind.

All top points. Struggling to choose a captain from those three! Can understand a gamble on Ziyech, although Mane and Kane are more proven. Kane and Mane have tricky opponents to predict.
Grealish is a top target. He’s always involved in the attack with goals or assists and less defensive responsibilities.
Your plan makes sense, good luck. 🙂

Hi!
I hit the WC button this week. Would love your thoughts on my first draft.
McCarthy, Henderson (CYP)
Chilwell, Cancelo, Targett, Lamptey, Neco Williams
Salah, KDB, Fernandes, Grealish, Bissouma,
Werner, Adams, Watkins
might move KDB to Ziyech for a 1 week punt and then bring in KDB starting for their great run in week 10.

Hi. Sorry for the late reply. Took a break that lasted longer than expected!
As you would’ve heard by now, Salah has Covid. He’s a top long-term option, but on a Wildcard you can fill that position with a place-holder.
Everyone else is well set. Option of Adams to Bamford in the future, keep your selections for now. Agree on KDB and Ziyech, one or both may end up on my team around GW10-11 depending on performances.

Hi Bruno,
I admire the way you’ve chosen to move forward after the setbacks you’ve had. I’m trying to get my wildcard done as early as possible. Here’s my first draft:
McCarthy, Steer
Cresswell, Chilwell, Kilman,Lamptey,James,
Ziyech,Rodriguez,Grealish,Fernandez,Zaha
Calvert lewin,Richarlson, Bamford
£3.1 mil in the bank
Is zaha and Richarlson worth it or should I invest my money elsewhere?
Thinking of keeping Ziyech for a game week and then taking him out for KDB?
Do you think Kilman will start games from now on?
Thanks,
Athar
Upper 90 Studios
19/11/20
Hi Athar,
Apologies for the late reply, this international break felt like it would never end.
Small note. If you choose McCarthy, Forster is another £4m backup option in case of injury or loss of form to your starting GK. Keep in mind that this ties up a Southampton spot in your team for the future. For example, you wouldn’t be able to bring in more than just Ings with 2x SOU GKs.
I don’t know if Kilman will start regularly in the long-run, but seems to safe for now. Limited options in those cheaper DEF spots this season.
Zaha can be hot or cold, but I can understand taking a chance on him with favorable fixtures. The only optional idea could be to go cheaper in this position to upgrade other areas. Not necessary to change it for now.
Ziyech is a great option, wonder if there’s a way to keep him if he continues to deliver. One of my future plans has both Ziyech and KDB, but it’s dependent on performances from the next few games.
Thanks for the comment!

12/11/20
Hi Bruno,
The past gw deadline crept up on me and I missed it, so I saw lots of red arrows, but it allowed me to save a transfer so I’ve got 2. My current squad looks like this
GK: Martinez & Mccarthy
DEF: TAA, Lamptey, Dallas (Mitchel, Kilman)
MID: Salah, Son, James Rodriguez, Zaha (Jorginho)
FWD: Kane, Bamford, DCL
I’m considering taking a hit to bring in Zouma/Chilwell for TAA, Vestergaard for Mitchel and Jota for Jorginho.
I’ve also been considering replacing Trent from before injury, as he’s expensive and Liverpools defence doesn’t seem to be what it was a season ago.
My questions for you on these are:
1. I see persons favoring Chilwell especially as TAA replacements, is he worth the extra funds to bring in as opposed to Zouma?
2. Would taking a hit be advisable given the persons brought in vs the ones I’m replacing, Or just use two and save the third transfer for the following week?
3. If only going for 2 transfers, out of the 3 prospects, who do you think would be priority to bring in and who can perhaps wait one more week?
4. Jota has been on good form, do you think that will keep him in the starting lineup? Or would Grealish be the better option?
Upper 90 Studios
19/11/20
Hi. Sorry for the late reply, I took a break that went longer than expected.
Same as you, I was already on the fence with TAA. Now that he’s confirmed out, the funds might be useful in other positions.
1. Chilwell is a top defender pick for his attack potential. He’s been unlucky not to score more points from goals or assists. Zouma is more dependent on clean sheets as it could be harder to score from set pieces consistently.
2. Salah has Covid. If you choose to keep him and see if he’s available for GW10, and it turns out that he’s still unavailable, the extra transfer would be an advantge.
3. Leaning toward Chilwell.
4. It’s not straightforward, but Grealish feels like a more consistent option from the two. Liverpool have so many injuries that it’s becoming harder to assess their potential as Klopp puts out a makeshift side. Jota is on my Watchlist as a value way into Liverpool’s attack, although I may aim a little higher in price to Ziyech or KDB in a week or two.
Those are the notes for now. 👍

Hi Bruno
Got a good score – 77 last week but languishing around 1.5M so have activated wildcard this week due to COVID/injuries. What do you think of the team below? I’d need 2 transfers/to take a hit to buy back Salah, or get KDB before Man City’s nicer looking fixtures. Only further tweak I’m thinking of now is to swap out Son for Zaha, given Palace’s next 3 fixtures. Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.

Son, Grealish, Ziyech, Fernandes (VC) (Soucek)

Hi. Congrats on a top score last round 77pts. So many players out, good timing with the Wildcard avoiding hits.
I like your current setup, hard to improve it! The only minor note is hopefully Kilman keeps his place after a solid string of performances. He is fighting with Saiss and others on the left, but it would be harsh if he was dropped.
Your plan could work, so keep that as the main one to compare to others. Depending on performances, another idea for the future could be a possible swap from Son to Ziyech to allow an upgrade on defense, possibly KDB if needed.
Looking strong. 👍 -Bruno
