🚨 Final GW8 Team! 🚨
TRANSFERS OUT: Rashford, Ings
TRANSFERS IN: Grealish, Calvert-Lewin
***UPDATE: Early move for Grealish to beat the price rise, late change on Ings after the press conferences. Ings injury means a rethink of the team structure and differentials. The plan is to use another round of information, then go on the attack with £3.1m in the bank. Don’t forget the early deadline on Friday! Thanks for watching and good luck!!! 👍💯 -Bruno

Hey Bruno !
I’m having big red arrows with below average scores for the past few gw’s.
Used my WC.
Here’s my team for GW 8. No idea how to improve them. HELP!

Hey! No problem.
No major concerns for GW8, but you can put pressure on a few players. Ryan dropped out last week, the manager said it was tactical. There might’ve been an incident involving Maupay, so there is a small chance players were dealt with by being dropped GW7. If your GKs disappoint, consider Mendy.
Justin has a few trick fixtures, then it clears up. He might’ve played as a central defender in the Champions League instead of out wide. If this continues, it could affect his attack potential. Keep an eye on Dallas as a possible replacement.
Zaha can be inconsistent, but it could work when he’s in good form. Grealish is an option for the long-run, tricky GW8 versus Arsenal.
Forwards are set. 👍
I might pick out Mendy, Dallas and Grealish as targets. But I don’t know the best plan of attack without an update from Ancelotti on Rodriguez. For example, if Rodriguez is not 100% and you consider selling him, you could go Rodriguez to Grealish. That frees up more funds for the Mendy option, possibly even KDB in the future if Jesus and Aguero return without issues.

I describe this week as I do with most Captaincy is important haha. mines failed when it seemed so obvious that son would have returned at Brighton all good thou ,as you said we must be happy with the decisions we make and not forced into them because of mini-league rivals or fpl “experts”
thou I do trust your opinions! haha
i rolled a transfer for the first time this season so I have 2 for game week 7 this provides more headaches lol so I just took a step back before doing anything irresponsible especially after watching Chilwell being so VERY advanced !! great pick by you. the new left-back for wolves has similar positioning to Chilwell.
i played my wildcard for game week 6. I’m reasonably pleased with the squad.
Maupay Zaha are my biggest problems, okay Zaha is a good fpl asset cause he is direct but honestly, Roy Hodgson and Palace must be one of the least entertaining sides in the league and when I watch them my eyes say they don’t create much maybe the stats tell a different story but I lean towards my eye test I trust it more. this is becoming a long comment lol.
Martinez.
Robbo/Lamptey/Kilman/Ayling/Masuaku
Mane/Son/Grealish/Zaha/Bissouma
Kane/DCL/Maupay.
0.8M IN THE BANK
2 questions – starting line up and captain.
what to do with the 2 free, not opposed to 3 transfer for -4
Chelsea assets are what im 75 percent sure are the correct moves to make and the fun moves also.
thank you for the great and honest content all the best

Ola. I couldn’t believe it! The top three captain picks could’ve easily blanked had it not been for the penalties.
Agree with you on Zaha and Maupay, they have some pressure to deliver.
Need an update on Lamptey, I haven’t checked all the press conferences. I might rate Mendy and Chilwell at the back depending on the general plan and free transfers available. But your defense could go as is for another round… Robbo has City, I’m still not sure if it’s straightforward to drop him.
Wish Bamford had taken his chances against Leicester. Now it’s harder for me to suggest him for others. One idea, and maybe not this week because of the fixture, could be to consider Jota in the midfield.
Martinez
Robbo/Lamptey/Ayling (Kilman, Masuaku)
Mane/Son/Grealish/Zaha (Bissouma)
Kane/DCL/Maupay
^^^This could be a GW8 lineup to build from. At the moment, I have Kane set as captain targeting West Brom.
Those are the notes for now. Thanks for the great comment as always.

Hey Bruno!
I was in the same boat as you, 51pts but I captained Mane who blanked and left Harvey Barnes on the bench, fortunately my mini-league rivals have been stumbling too so I’m still in the fight 😎
GW8 I’ve transferred in Diogo Jota for Harvey Barnes, mainly to free up funds for the squad but also just to ride on the bandwagon and take advantage of a potential price hike, despite the heavy competition for a starting place, Jota has proved he can make an impact off the bench.
After the international break my main consideration is to drop Son, between GW9 -GW15 Spurs play against Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Leicester and Wolves. I know Son as potential to perform well against these teams but he’s also playing in South Korea 4 days before GW9, and then he’s playing Europa League football for 3 back to back midweeks in a row. Although he may get rested in the midweeks, it’s possible for him to get burned out. My question is who would be the best replacement for Son? I already have 2 City mids and 2 Liverpool mids so I’m looking at any other premium mid.
Also an extra question, is Reece James being overlooked? I’m seeing a lot of hype around Zouma lately but I don’t like transferring in CBs because of their “goal scoring potential”. I already have Chilwell so I’m looking to double up on Chelsea’s defence.
Good Luck for GW8 and enjoy the international break 😄

Oh I forgot to mention that I have £0.7mil in the bank and selling Son for £9.2mil 👍

Hey! It’s becoming harder to predict every season. Brighton without their main goalkeeper and striker dominated Spurs for long spells. It was hard to process it. 🙂
Liking the transfer for the reasons you mentioned. 👍
In the midfield, I might’ve suggested Rashford. But after the last two games, I lost some confidence in United. City attackers are the top premium picks, but you’re already covered. I’m not seeing premium mids other than a punt on United which is risky on the latest form. Maybe there’s an option to spread funds instead of pushing for another premium player, but it depends on your playing style and favorite team structure.
Reece James is a top option. Nothing to separate him from Chilwell as far as points potential. The only difference is the small rotation risk with Azpi and busy fixtures which will eventually affect all the players. For now, it could work.
Thanks and good luck! 🙂

Hey Bruno!
I would like to know what’s your opinion about about replacing TAA and Son for Cancelo and KDB after GW 8. I will be happy to hear from you! Keep the good work.
Upper 90 Studios
04/11/20
Hey! You have all the right players in mind in your plan. It could work.
I had Cancelo on my Watchlist, then I got worried about Pep rotation and removed him for the video.
KDB is on my Watchlist as a possible change from Son in the future. But I’m taking it game by game and making adjustments as new info comes in. I have no set plan to drop Son at the moment. High points ceiling, Spurs can turn it on against any team. It won’t be easy to drop Son after his double digit haul GW8! 🙂
Always smart to plan ahead just in case.

Hi Bruno,
i wanted to ask you about help for attacker i will remove Mitrovic (5.8) and i have 0.2 m in the bank ….so i was thinking to take
Batshuai (but not sure if he is 100percent starter Benteke and Ayew are back)
Bamford ( i dont like his fixcures so much)
Che Adams (ings is out so…maybe he is a good options but also not sure about fixcures)
Watkins (my last options )
mostly i like Bathuay and Watkins but i like your opinion
from soutempton i have walker peaters and mc carthy,
from vila Konsa
i dont have nobody from leeds
and noone from Cr Palas

Hi. Hard to assess Southampton after the injury to Ings, possibly other players like Bertrand.
I might say Bamford, Watkins or a gamble on Batshuayi, but I also don’t know if he’s 100% nailed.
If you don’t have Grealish, Watkins could provide some cover. The only note is the fixture GW8 is tricky versus Arsenal.
Hard to point you in a set direction because they are all similar as far as scoring potential, including Mitrovic! 🤔
I’m stuck on the final decision, sorry!

Ola Bruno! As always thanks for the tips n tricks. Currently I’m set with the team n took a hit to bring in Mendy. He n Chilwell r in my team now. With ings out, I’m forced to look for another striker (believe we both have this headache). Considering Timo tbh given his latest stats in all comp. what’s your take with ings..any other options that you might wanna propose. Thanks in advance, man

N yea..the risk of trippling up on Chelsea. Never been a fan. Your input might help

05/11/20
Ola! No problem. Liking the move, another Mendy clean sheet in Europe.
Yes, I’m dropping Ings tonight before price changes. Going for DCL in my case as the price difference allows certain targets for next week.
Timo is even more interesting now that he’s on penalties, so there’s no issue if you go that route. I’ve never had an issue tripling up on a team, but we all have different playing styles. 👍 When they’re playing well and the potential is there, it can be advantage. If they go through a bad run, we can make an adjustment.

Ola Bruno,
Sorry to hear that your wildcard team didn’t do as good as you were hoping for. Rashford pick and captain was a brave and good pick considering how good he was playing prior to that. But united in general were very poor against arsenal and attackers didn’t really got going. Very concerning! I had an above average gw with 65 points and i am fairly happy about it. I didn’t make any transfer last week even though i had 2 frees because i was pretty happy with my team. I have 2 frees for this week also and i still like my team overall but there are some underperforming players. Please let me know what you think of my transfer thoughts and any advice in general
Martinez (Button)
Robbo, Chilwell, Dallas, KWP (Branthwaite)
Salah, Sterling, Son, Grealish (Bissouma)
Kane, DCL (Brewster)
1) Robbo —> Creswell. Robbo is playing against city and i am not expecting any cleansheet there. Liverpool doesn’t seem to keep a cs against any team right now and that’s concerning. Creswell has a favorable next few fixtures. I would roll the other tree transfer for the break.
2) Robbo & Bissouma —> Creswell & Bowen
Utilize both of my free transfers and bring a west ham attacker. If antonio was fit i would definitely consider him by selling brewster but bowen seems pretty good also when you watch a west ham game. With this move i can move to 3-5-2 formation and rotate kwp/dallas
3) Other moves that you can suggest. Or do nothing yet again 🙂
Thanks as always. I hope you have a big comeback week this gw!
Thanks!
Upper 90 Studios
05/11/20
Ola. Thanks, it didn’t work as I’d hoped points-wise, but the defense feels stronger.
Congrats on a strong score, 65 points. 👍
1) Not seeing a clean sheet either. Cresswell is a good option and it could be even better if Antonio is fit. The only small note is Cresswell might’ve been playing more central in a 3x centerback system. Need to check up on the formation. But he’s excellent with set pieces and could have moments on the wing. Coufal is on my Watchlist, I nearly moved for him on the Wildcard, then Antonio got injured.
2) Same as above, Antonio the only note. He draws attention from defenders which leaves space for Bowen. I like the rotation system.
3) Not that can improve your squad, it’s strong. You can even stick with the current team without a problem, but it’s really up to you to go for the new players. Robbo’s fixture is hard to predict.
Good luck!

Hi Bruno,
I found your site just a few days ago and I must say you have some amazing content and advice. You are disappointed with your Wildcard but I think you made great choices, this season is just too unpredictable.
This is my team at the moment-
McCarthy (Martinez)
Chilwell Cresswell Lamptey(Justin Mitchell)
Zaha Grealish Son Salah (Mccarthy)
Vardy Bamford Kane
0.6 in the bank.
I just got in Grealish for Bruno because of the great run of fixtures and villa have and he’s playing really good.
I have also made a gamble bringing in Vardy for DCL. I just can’t resist getting Vardy because he is fixtures proof and definitely one for the long run.
My team seems decent to me on paper but I just can’t hit it this season and I’ve already used my wildcard too. What do you think? I’ll like to make my transfers early so I’m asking you one week ahead actually :).
I will probably bring in Mendy but otherwise I’m not sure what to focus one. Got any tips?
Also best of luck for this GW. I think you’ll hit at least 80.Thanks.

Hi. That’s amazing, glad to have you. Appreciate the nice words on the Wildcard. It’s always nice to have a big score with the WC, but it doesn’t always come off. At least now the defense feels better and you’re right about this season.
I made a similar change with Grealish. Vardy has one of the highest ceilings and Leicester can score against any team. 👍
Overall, I might look at minor improvements. You mentioned Mendy, another clean sheet midweek in the Champions League. Then a few touch ups on the outer edges of the squad. Possibly Justin? Unless you hold him for the fixture swing, and McCarthy in the midfield. He tends to be more defensive and can pick up bookings with his aggressive style. Zaha can be hot or cold, keep an eye on Jota.
Those are the thoughts for now. Thanks for the great comment and good luck!

Hi Bruno,
I hope you’re not too disheartened as your wildcard picks were sensible. It was unfortunate that you couldn’t pick up more pts as this just goes to show how unpredictable this season has been. Don’t worry as there are still plenty of gws to go and pts to pick up. I’m certain you’ll bounce back!
I had 57pts for gw7 and am currently in a quandary. My team is as follows:
McCarthy (Meslier)
TAA, Justin, Chilwell (Konsa, Mitchell)
JWP (vc), Salah, Grealish, Son (Zaha)
Bamford, Kane (c) , DCL
For the upcoming gw8, I’ve already made 1 transfer (Bissouma > JWP) and have 1 more on hand.
(1) What’s your take on TAA? I’m tempted to sell him for either a West Ham (Coufal or Cresswell) or Arsenal defender (Bellerin or Tierney) but am decided. Alternatively, I could keep the free transfer, leading to greater flexibility in my transfer plans once the international break is over.
(2) I’m undecided on the formation to play. At present, it’s set to 3-4-3 but I’m contemplating 3-5-2 with either Bamford or DCL on the bench. Both are in good form though the former spurned a couple of good chances against Leicester last week. I was even considering benching Salah but given his substantial ownership, it may be better to play him.
(3) Given the current squad, are there any weaknesses that I should take note for the upcoming gws?
Many thanks in advance for your valuable feedback Bruno. Good luck and wishing you green arrows for the upcoming gw 💪
Upper 90 Studios
06/11/20
Hi. Thanks! Making an adjustment or two and hopefully I can make another push soon.
1) I’m keeping TAA for now. Not seeing a clean sheet vs. City, but he is on set pieces. I could tell he was trying hard to get a return GW7 and was at times ahead of Salah on the pitch. Not sure he’ll venture this high against City. I can understand a change, but in my case, I’m not 100% sure about dropping him yet. West Ham defenders might be even better with Antonio as a target for their crosses. He might be out GW8, still catching up on all the press conferences.
2) I might set it the same way you did, 3-4-3.
3) No major weaknesses, only minor possible tweaks depending on performances. For example, Mendy in goal. If Zaha fails to deliver, there might be other options emerging.
Good luck!
-Bruno
