FPL Season Review
It’s finally over! I’m slowly coming around after what turned out to be my second worst finish in over ten years playing. Good or bad, I’d love to hear how you’ve done this season in the comments. 👊
Considering everything that happened, I might look back and think of this season in a better light.
- I put up a video or blog post every single Gameweek, except for a small Christmas break.
- There was the league suspension which derailed my Chips and Blank/Double Gameweek plans.
- The website was shut down. Hundreds of blog posts turned off.
You wouldn’t believe what happened with the website if I told you. Maybe one day I can bring back the content from the old posts in another form.
And it’s not all about the Overall Rank. I value your friendship and support throughout this season. Even if you don’t post a comment, I thank you just for being here.
I hope you stick around next season as we improve our skills in FPL. I’m not here just to create content, you can reach out to me anytime. Some of you already do!

GW38+ Points.
I’m still trying to process how Sterling (8PTS) only scored one goal against Norwich. He had at least a thousand chances (at least) and ended up being outscored by Mahrez (9PTS) who was benched.
Sterling couldn’t even beat the cheapest forward in the game Aaron Connolly (8PTS). Sterling scored 17 points in his previous game before I brought him in, so this doesn’t bother me at all. 🙂
Kevin De Bruyne (19PTS) 🇧🇪 was on a different level. Bruno Fernandes (11PTS) 🇵🇹 the penalty king.
Speaking of penalties, Ings scored from the spot after missing one as my captain last week. Small red arrows GW38+. The end.
Favorite Moments.
Making up 2 million places in the Overall Rank in one month. From November to December, Upper 90 Studios climbed from 2.6 million in the OR to 450k starting with a -12 hit.
Chips.
The chips performed well, although some could argue their effectiveness was reduced with the league suspension. I was excited to use the chips in a big Double Gameweek GW37 with high ceiling players from strong teams involved. It never happened.
Worst Moments.
The league suspension. As a compromise to save the chips, I took multiple hits leading up to a blank GW31 that never came. I ended up selling players who came back to a Double Gameweek!
Managers who planned for the blank with hits while saving their chips for later in the season might feel hard done by the schedule change. By managers, I mean me.
Upper 90 Studios was at its best Overall Rank of the season 211k GW28 before Premier League games were affected by the pandemic.

Congrats on your score and ranking. I know it’s not enough for you but still a respected rank .
I made 56 with Mahrez (c) not having De Bruyne for the final Run and having David Silva really punish my final ranking.
It’s just my second season and I finished 500k so I’m Happy . Last year I Didn’t quite understand the game and the chips so I was always making transfers and taking hits and I finished on a terrible 3M .
This year was a truly fantasy yeas knowing how to play . Thanks for the hot tips . And Next year Will be even better . To the 1% 💪

Olá. My team was stuck in quicksand after the restart. I’ll be ok after reading these comments!
I couldn’t believe the wasted chances for City, even Mahrez could’ve scored more and he came off the bench.
From 3M to 500k is a massive jump, I’m so happy for you. I think you will go even better next season with your skill level. 👊

Hi Bruno..Thanks for keeping posting and give us excellent advise all season long. Since I play the game in 2016/17 this blog is my favorite about FPL, your influence and advise have been help me think and make my own decisions and I have playing well since:
2016/17=8K
17/18=184K( I think the year you disappear from posting)
18/19=13K
19/20=45K
With strategy, knowledge, taking a risk and trusting in your own guts we can fly high.

Hi Bruno,
I’ve played this game for 5 years now but never been as competitive since discovering your website and You tube channel.
What a season; my hometown team avoided relegation from the Championship with an injury time winner in the last game of the season,I won two of the 3 leagues I compete in and came 3rd in the other.
2228 points (my highest ever score) saw me ranked overall at 195,447 which is a vast improvement on previous years.
Thank you for all your tips and advice during what has been the strangest season ever,only 6 weeks until we get to do it all again !

It has been a strange one and I’m hearing four important clubs playing in Europe could have blanks GW1-GW2! Here we go and it hasn’t even started yet!

Had my first ever top 100k finish, coming in at 84k. Highest finish before this was just outside half a million.

GW35+ – GW38+ I made a lot of mistakes and wrong decisions but this season was my best(4th season so far)

Hey mate! Thank you for your time and support, hope next season will be more productive for all of us. The worst season for me:) although I mostly had all the right moves in my head but somehow chose to make the wrongs ones. whats really annoying is that I spent hundreds of hours of reading and searching and smb in my ML who has no clue about FPL finished higher than me :/ but who is to blame? – me, myself and I/ Two main lessons im taking with me to next season are 1. TRUST UR GUT, I mean against all odds and no matter what the crowd says, follow what you believe/think/feel 2. DONT OVERTHINK, once you ve made your mind – fix/nail/hammer it/ make that exact move and stop doubting it or think there is a better one/
GL to you and all U90 community, hope to be back prior to 20/21 season start
