Yes, I caught myself celebrating wildly a few times and the goals were cancelled by VAR, so I eventually stopped celebrating.
It was a difficult week for many strong managers. Liking your transfer and it’s an advantage going into the IB with 2FTs.

Hi. It’s not easy because if Son is fit, he’s a good option. I’m struggling to rate Man City players because of Guardiola’s rotation.
Foden provides a value option into City’s attack. I like Vardy and Ings for GW4, so I’m completely stumped on this one!
The starters on defense seem ok for now. KWP bought himself another game after the clean sheet, let’s see if Southampton can build from it. Vinagre might not play regularly with the signing of Marçal, he has some pressure to deliver for your team.
In a lower price range, keep an eye on James Justin. I have Justin in my team and Lamptey on the Watchlist.
TAA is a top pick. If any of your other starting defenders disappoint, and you need funds to upgrade that position, you could consider a £4m DEF in the 5th defender spot (possibly Vinagre). You can use another round of games before making any decisions.

Thanks as always for the content Bruno! Have a question on strategy heading into this week. My team mirrored your GW1 lineup but since has some slight deviations as I stuck with original plans to Move Salah out for Fernandes after GW1 and Aubamayang for De Bruyne after GW2. Egan red also forced my hand and I took a -4 to transfer him out for Saiss after GW2 as well. I currently have the 1 free transfer and 1.7m in the bank and team is as below
I have this team currently on 3-4-3 formation
McCarthy (Steer)
TAA, saiss, Justin (Douglas,Branthwaite)
KDB, Soucek, Fernandes, Son (Bissouma)
Mitrovic, Ings, Werner
I have narrow down 3 options
1. Make no moves, roll over free transfer to after break. Son in for now but Bissouma takes his place if unfit. This leaves 0 other active players as back ups for this week if someone else is out but does afford flexibility for post international break and maybe a chance to switch goal keeper after the break
2. Use only the free transfer and switch Douglas out for Reece James. This probably leads me to using a 4-3-3 lineup this week or sitting a defender
3. As it turns out I have just enough in the bank to make these 3 moves, results in a -8 hit however.

No problem! GK+DEF are set. At least the starters! I have the same issue with the bench. Only one question mark with the attack, and that is Son.
1. Makes sense.
2. It gives you an extra starter and rotation option.
3. The transfers-in have a high scoring potential. The only concern is the hit when we’re seeing a lot of players sold and suddenly they score the very next game. The trolling level is off the charts in FPL this season. 🙂
My Plan A is similar to your second option, Plan B is similar to your third option. At this moment, I’m leaning toward improving my squad depth because I also have Son as a doubt.
If we get no additional info on Son before deadline, you could be safe with Reece James. But Jimenez is a top pick against Fulham’s defense who shipped another 3 goals today against Brentford. I’m excited to see what he can do.
Those are the notes for now. Since I haven’t decided yet for my own team, it’s hard to point you in a set direction. They’re all good options! 🤔

Hey, good thanks! I’ll most likely follow you with Jimenez. It’s confusing this week because if Son plays, he’s a good pick.
Agree with you on Davies. He played 90min today in the Europa League and I can see Reguilon starting regularly from here. I didn’t think of Davies possibly shifted to CB, so that is up to you if you know more info.
At this moment, Son is staying in my team until I hear more updates. But I’m most likely improving depth by selling a cheaper defender and bringing in another starter (Reece James). You may not need the extra hit, so it’s up to you.

I will sell Werner for Jimenez because of easier fixtures and i would like to know what’s your opinion about this. I will then have 1.2mil left in the bank and would like to replace one of these defenders Walker-Peters, Doherty, Dallas or Mitchell with someone else. What do you recommend doing?

Hey! It’s not an easy one. KWP is coming off a clean sheet and I’m curious to see if Southampton can build from it. At Doherty’s price, he has to deliver consistently, and the fixture isn’t the easiest.
Dallas is harder to rate, I haven’t been watching him as closely as other players. Mitchell could be ok, a value option until PVA returns, then he’ll lose his position.
I could make a case to avoid an extra hit for a defender (unless you have 2FTs). If you’re set on a change, it depends on your feelings over Doherty and the possible replacement you have in mind.

I agree with you and i can understand your frustration with VAR decisions. Being a united fan and a Bruno owner, i am not complaining much about the united game 😉 but there were very poor calls all around. Ward and dier incident comes to my mind in particular. They have to sort this out sooner.
Coming back to my team, i had a above average gameweek with 57 points. I took -4 to get Podence for ASM, which didn’t workout this week so 52 in net total. So overall happy with the gw score. Below is my team and i need your input on couple of decisions
McCarthy (Nyland)
TAA, Justin, Mitchell (Dallas, Douglas)
Salah, KDB (C), Bruno, Podence (Bissouma)
Werner, DCL, Adams
Below are my transfer options
1) Werner to Jimenez
Werner has been playing very wide and with pulisic and ziyech out, he is not getting the services he needs. Also he is playing palace, who are a pretty solid team defensively. Jimenez on the other hand is playing fulham
2) Werner to Jimenez & Bruno to Sterling (captain) for -4
I am very happy with Bruno’s 12 pointer but that score was very deceiving because united were very poor last game. They play Spurs next game, which should be tougher. I feel like city can score 3-4 against leeds and sterling looks like a very punty transfer and a captain. Are the transfer and a hit justified or should i hold my knees? 🙂
3) Do nothing and roll the transfer. Will have 2 free transfer for international break
Let me know your thoughts on each of the option. Also, should i start mitchell or dallas this week?

52 points is a solid score with the low average.
1) I’ve done this already for the reasons you mentioned. In my case I also wanted to cash out on a cheap defender before his price dropped while strengthening team depth.
2) This one I wouldn’t be able to predict with confidence because Sterling played 90min midweek and I don’t know what Guardiola will do. trust your instinct if you’re feeling Sterling because as you said, he has a high scoring ceiling against a team that likes to push up leaving gaps.
3) Also an option. I can only speak for my team and I’m taking a chance on Jimenez beginning with Fulham.
Leaning toward Option 1, but they’re all great options. Option 2 is a bigger gamble with a high upside if it comes off, so it depends on what you’re feeling…
Super close between the defenders. If forced to pick, I might give a small edge to Mitchell as Palace can sometimes surprise teams with their defending.

I applaud you for your sincerity and natural approach to football itself, rather than just tackling FPL.
I had a terrible week, 33 points, 3.3m OR, but having learnt from you before, if there was a week to get a bad score, this week was the one. Onwards and upwards…..continue to strategically attack, fixtures and form……
After looking at form players and fixtures, I have already made my 3 transfers, with -8 hit to bring in DCL and Vardy, to avoid price rises, as I could just about afford them.
After that my team is:
Martinez, (Forster)
TAA, James, Sais, (Dunne), ( Lamptey)
Salah, De Bruyne, Foden, Podence, (Stephens)
Vardy, DCL, Jiminez
1.Do you think Im starting the correct players, especially with Lamptey and Dunne on the bench.
2. Captain…..Jiminez?. Nuno will be fuming from last week’s loss and drilling his team to up their game, against a Fulham side that lost 3- 0 against Brentford today. Any other viable options?
3.Who do you think could become essential players, I dont own from GW5 onwards?. Im thinking Kane,he looks incredibly hungry to score and assist and has 4 great fixtures from GW5. I could downgrade TAA to Robo, then move from Vardy to Kane. Your views?
4.You would do great as a Youtube livestreamer, if ever you keen. You have the FPL brain and the style!.
5. I have also got into producing videos for the Charity Relief Organisation I founded and its fun…..I use an app called Magisto, it uses AI and is amazing,check it out when you have a moment. I can even send you some of my Charity’s videos, if you are interested….
6.Our Charity is searching for networking opportunities locally and abroad, as covid-19 has made the poverty situation in South Africa really bad. If you have any ideas let me know. Networking with football clubs or football players, if any contacts would be great…..eg. What Rashford did recently was amazing.

Hi. Doing well and thank you. Your team will be ok. I might even say that those with a strong team should’ve scored poorly last week! That’s not to say there weren’t strong teams with good scores…
Can understand the move for both with their high points ceiling.
1. Yes. Tarkowski is closer to a return for Burnley while Lamptey provides solid bench cover just in case.
2. Jimenez and Wolves have no excuse against Fulham who shipped another 3 goals today. KDB also in the mix against Leeds who like to attack. I’m currently on Salah for my team after watching them closely against Arsenal. They are unstoppable on that form, although they will be tested by an improved Villa defense. I’m focusing on team over individual form at this moment, but it’s not a final decision. Still thinking.
3. Kane hat-trick today. Spurs 7-2 winners. If forced, I might still choose TAA over Robbo with the set piece threat.
4. I still haven’t gotten around to it, but I will at some point I’m sure.

6. My cousin played for West Brom and was a player agent. I haven’t spoken to him since Christmas and don’t know if he’s still doing it or which players he represents. I can ask him. 🙂

Looks solid overall. The only player I’m less caught up on is Helder Costa. If you have good knowledge on him, go for it. Leeds can score some goals. 👍
Small note that Mitchell’s time as a starter could be running out. PVA is closer to full fitness. The bench cover for the defenders is a little light and I don’t know of other cheap options, maybe Dunne, although he could also lose his place to Tarkowski. Wish there was an injury update on Ferguson (Crystal Palace).
That’s the only note, to think ahead in case you need an extra starting defender for cover/rotation. That would require a cut which depends on performances. Keep an eye on Soucek as a cheap midfielder enabler. Moyes can sometimes surprise the better teams.

Hi. Good to hear your thoughts on it.
I might say to start James with his attack potential. He pulled a bonus point despite conceding three goals and a yellow card. Dangerous crosses, corner kicks, and he was in his teammates’s faces on every free kick… he’s hungry.
Between Keane and Lamptey for the bench. It’s not easy because Keane can sometimes pop up with a goal from a set piece. Keane also offers some clean sheet cover against Digne owners, although Brighton have been good in the attack. Keane feels a little safer, Lamptey a slightly bigger risk?
All the doubts over Son for my team meant I was less focused on the captaincy. I’m on Salah, set right after they played last week. Liverpool were dominant against an in-form Arsenal side, and it could’ve been 4 or 5 goals. I’m also seeing rumors Mane could be out? Salah typically returns more points when Mane is out.
KDB is a top choice and strong FPL managers are considering KDB and Sterling for the armband. City players’s reaction against Leicester wasn’t the greatest, they dropped their heads when things got tough. I don’t know if that means we’ll see a reaction, or if there’s something else.
Jim has the best fixture against Fulham’s defense. The only note is Wolves were flat in the attack with Jimenez starved of chances. It depends on how they respond after that performance.
United vs. Spurs is not easy to predict. Spurs are coming off a big win midweek 7-2, two wins, they knocked out Chelsea… but they tend to struggle at Old Trafford. If someone can bag a return, it’s Bruno.
Leaning toward the safety of Salah or KDB, but as we saw last week with all the blanks and handballs, anything can happen.

Hi. No problem! It depends on the rest of your team. Jimenez feels like a strong option for a favorable run of fixtures starting with Fulham.
James is great in the attack, but Crystal Palace can be stubborn to break down. There is also the slightest risk of rotation for James if Chelsea continue to lose games. He has to continue making it impossible for Lampard to drop him. Jimenez is more dependable.
I might say to consider one player, then reassess after another round of games. Another idea could be Lamptey, who is also a threat with attacking returns, but I didn’t watch him as closely as James last week.
