Sport Lisboa e Benfica’s New Home Kits for the 2013/2014 Liga ZON Sagres Season Leaked!
As an avid Benfica fan for the greater part of 30 years, I have to admit: though I love it like no other, I’ve never actually purchased the traditional home (red) jersey. I own over a dozen Glorioso kits, and they come in every color but red. Here is a quick sample of my collection:
Based on the leaked Benfica home kit image above, however, I think this year will be the first in which I buy myself a red one!
The stand-out feature of the new kit is definitely the Eagle “watermark” across the right chest/shoulder, below the Adidas logo.
The Portugal Telecom MEO brand returns as the main sponsor, though the logo has undergone a dramatic change. It now features a minimalist look, as opposed to the traditional boxed text of years past.
Gone is the ugly white collar, now replaced by a simple black trim, also featured on the sleeves.
