Tricky one this week as I’ve only got one FT but would like to get rid of Ramsdale and Rodrigo. Also not sure about a double up on a shaky Chelsea defence.
Current team:
Ramsdale (Ward)
Trent – Cancelo – James – Cucurella – Dunk
Salah – Martinelli – Harrison (Andreas, Rodrigo)
Haaland – Jesus (Archer)
Thinking about these moves:
1) Bank FT (and pray), then use two FTs on some short-term moves next week before WC
2) Rodrigo out for Trossard/Gross/ASM then bench Cucurella
3) Ramsdale out for Henderson/Raya
I don’t fancy a -4…
Any advice?

Can see the concern with 2x CHE DEF, although it might not be a priority.
1) It’s actually a good team as is. You can still consider tightening up a weakness this week, but there is a case for 2FTs in your future plan.
2) This is what I would do for my team. I wouldn’t be able to keep a player with an injury such as this (4 weeks?), then watch his price and my team value sink. Price changes are just another factor, others are more important, so it depends on your playing style.
3) Liking this move also. Leaning toward Henderson, and there are other options like Sanchez depending on funds. Sanchez has high ownership with the experts, Henderson is a strong differential.
I might consider Option 2 initially, unless Ramsdale is confirmed to be out injured. Then it’s super close between options 2+3.
I don’t know which option to pick at this moment, but those are some thoughts for now. Not an easy one, sorry.

Hey Bruno!
Well done on getting 80pts =) For me I’ve been burned again by not having Haaland, scoring 43pts. I already planned to wait until GW6 to bring in Haaland but hindsight is a b**** sometimes, taking a -8pts hit was the way to go for my GW5 team. I was also surprised by the high captaincy of Haaland compared to Salah, gone are the days of Salah 50%+ captaincy every week, that was so much easier lol.
For GW6 I played the Wildcard to get ahead of the price changes and to have the freedom to change easily if any major deadline day deals get done. Aubameyang, Anthony and Kalajdzic are 3 transfers I’m keen to keep an eye one for now but will wait and see on how they perform. My tinkering of the team went from Neto out for Gross before the prices changed but I’m unsure what to do for my 3rd striker option, I ditched Gross and got Mitro before his price rise, I’m now effectively priced out of Gross. My WC team is as follows:
Sanchez/Ward
TAA/Perisic/Walker/Estupinan/Zanka
Salah/Sterling/Martinelli/Aaronson/Andreas
Haaland/Toney/Mitrovic
0.0ITB
I’m happy with this price structure but naturally I have a few questions for ya:
1) I held Sanchez because I knew his price would rise, I can now switch to Henderson without losing 0.1mil. I think they both have equally high points ceilings but Hendo has better fixtures up until the World Cup. Any red flags/suggestions before I make the move and can’t go back on?
2) I’ve picked Estupinan as my 4.5mil DEF but are there any others I should consider? Also I dropped N.Willams for Zanka because I don’t like the rotation risk that now comes with Forest signing Serge Aurier.
3) For now I’ve picked Aaronson for my 5-6.5mil MID. Are there any names that jump out at you as must have in the price bracket? Whoever I pick here will help me decide on my FWDs and vice versa.
4) I’ve still kept Toney although Brentford have looked like slowing up recently imo, is it a good idea to stick with him as he’s a talented individual or is there alternatives that may do better in the long run?
5) Originally I had Johnson as a 3rd FWD but I’m not convinced that his play style makes him a great FPL asset, also the Forest transfer policy makes him a rotation risk. Now I have Mitrovic but is there any cheaper FWDs worth looking at? I’ve seriously been considering a Haaland and Alvarez double up, it’s clear that Alvarez will get game time within Pep roulette and he can play both striker and winger for City. I’m willing to gamble on Alvarez even if he gets sub appearances majority of the time.
Thanks for all your help this season,
RedGreg.

Oh I forgot to comment on captaincy. I’m going for Haaland captain in GW6 even if there’s a risk of Haaland being benched. I’m fully on board with your frustrations with Salah’s positioning although I think it’s worth remembering that Nunez will return from his suspension and that’ll help Salah imo. Also Liverpool transferring in Arthur could be a great backup option whilst Thiago is out. I’ve faith Liverpool will be back to unquestionable dominating ways soon

Good notes on the captaincy. I may stick with the form team and player for now despite the rotation risk. One positive is Pep said Haaland is only 22 and doesn’t need as much rest. But we never know and Salah is Salah.
Hopefully both score big points then.

Hey! Haaland is scoring hat-tricks for fun. It’s not normal what he’s doing just a few games into a new season in a new league! I’m stunned by him.
Yes, I wasn’t aware of the captaincy stats skewing toward Haaland GW5. I’m not sure if it would’ve changed my mind because I was still thinking Haaland could’ve been rested. As you said, it’s easier after. š
Overall your team is excellent.
1) No red flags. Henderson is also a top GK pick. The only decision is whether to play it safe with 47% Sanchez (experts ownership) versus using Henderson as a strong differential against them. I like both.
2) Maybe Dalotas an option, not required to change from Estupinan. Didn’t know they signed Aurier, although it feels like they signed about a thousand new players!
3) Not really. I didn’t include Aaronson in my Watchlist because I have Harrison. I also have Gordon, but I might give an edge to the Leeds players with the upcoming fixtures.
4) Yes. It’s easier to drop down to other options than the other way around.
5) I was a bit harsh dropping Johnson from my Watchlist after he came off at 57min against City. It’s still early and difficult to assess, but I like the way Forest move the ball around with energy. Their weakness could be composure in front of goal. On a Wildcard it might be worth going with proven players like you’ve chosen. Toney, Mitrovic, Alvarez (Isak later on) might not have that issue with their finishing, and their teammates are stronger.
The only final decision could be whether to gamble on Alvarez. I didn’t think of this, and I can understand your reasoning. You could even try it and leave money ITB in case you need to jump out of the experiment, or use it to bump up a defender or mid with more information after another round or two.
These are some notes for now. Thanks!

Hi Bruno
Well a good GW5 with 90pts and a big rank move to 88k and Haaland the beast as captain, overall 6/11 returning, although rank movement is very volatile at the moment.
GW5 Transfer – Raya>Sanchez
Here’s the team with 2 FT’s and Ā£0.9 ITB;
Sanchez (Ward)
TAA/Cancelo/Dias/James/Nico
Salah (V)/Diaz/Martinelli/(Andreas/Dasilva)
Haaland (C)/Jesus/(Archer)
The team is pretty well set, however with CL mid week games coming l can see some possible rotation looming, with this in mind l am looking at the following options to upgrade Dasilva;
Option1. Use 1FT 5.4M to spend – options are a bit thin and looking at
Jensen/Almiron/Wissa
Option2. Use 2FT Out Ward/Dasilva 5.5M to spend – Iversen/Eze or Aaronson in
Option3. Use 2FT Out Dias/Dasilva 11.4M to spend and opens more options;
Perisic + 5.8 mid which doesn’t open up many options for mids
Trippier + 6.3 mid Gross highly owed playing well and 3 decent fixtures /
Harrison who’s gone off the boil/Rashford 3 week punt, Arsenal maybe not a
good entry point
Option4. Use 2FT Out Dias/Dasilva 11.4M to spend and opens more options;
4.5 Defender – Anderson/White little attack threat/Estupinan looks
interesting
6.9M to spend, which opens up more attacking threats – B. Silva rotation
risk, but Pep loves him/Two that l was thinking of are all now flagged
Odegaard, St Max
As you can see l really don’t know what to go for, but leaning to Trippier & Gross!!
Captain is on Haaland even if he comes on for 20 minutes!!
Looking ahead l need to find a way to get Mitrovic in some how, but not looking to sell any premium defenders or attackers as it stands……….could it be Mo to make way?
All the best

Hi. That’s fantastic to hear, 90 points and 88k is massive at this stage. š
1. Wish you could bump it Aaronson.
2. Oh. haha. I would prefer this option over the first for my team. I might say Iversen/Aaronson, keep in mind I’ve been watching Leeds more than Palace, so trust your instinct.
3. This option is strong. Trippier and Newcastle are looking strong. Not sure if Spurs will be tested in the upcoming fixtures. It’s easier as a Harrison owner to keep him than a non-owner to buy him. He did create a number of chances GW5 and Leeds are strong offensively, but I’m not happy with two blanks in two games.
4. I was also thinking Bernardo, but I’m leaning away from that rotation anxiety after the Gundogan experiment. Not that you can’t try it! As you said, Pep loves him and that’s because he’s a special player.
I’m also on Haaland after Pep said he’s only 22 and doesn’t need that much rest. I’d be happy with another 60 minutes and hat-trick.
I might narrow it to Options 2 and 3, super close!

Thanks for your comments Bruno……..
l have been thinking, probably over thinking!! about just the Dais to Trippier move and leaving 2FT’s for next week, although l don’t like leaving Ā£1.8m ITB.
Playing a 5-3-2 with Williams at the back against Bournemouth as his stats are very good. Also it gives me Ā£1.8m ITB to find away to Mitrovic for GW8 and as an option moving L. Diaz GW8 as Liverpool’s games get harder or Martinelli GW9 and l may even jump off Salah as he is not the auto captain anymore with Haaland scoring for fun!!
Oh……..just been playing around and l have the exact cash to switch Archer to Alverez, that’s is high risk but could be interesting, what do you think am l mad?
When are you thinking of using your WC, l know the concensus is to use it GW8-9, l am now thinking GW12
Lots to think about……

Trippier is a good choice with Newcastle playing well.
I usually donāt plan too far ahead with transfers, like 2-3 Gameweeks is normal because things can change quickly. But itās smart to be ready with future plans like youāre doing. š
The Wildcard Iāve never planned ahead either. Maybe I should start?!? I like to use it when Iām confident in making big changes while wiping out the hits.
I donāt normally use it when lots of other managers use it, but it could be any week. Usually early in the season, but I wanted to try saving it this time.
The first thing I did this Gameweek was to make a few wildcard teams. None offered enough of an improvement over my current team to justify it.
