There are many factors. One is to keep an eye on player ownership in that mini-league using a website like livefpl.net.
Analyzing player ownership in mini-leagues can give you an advantage. You can build a strong core of highly-owned players to protect yourself, then gain the upper hand with value differentials in the outer edges of the squad.
I have a few videos from last year’s pre-season talking about this, but might expand on it soon.
