Offer yourself as consultant IF THE NEW COACH WANTS IT. Moyes is clearly a puppet if he accepts SAF being above him, and the players will smell his weakness.

#3. “It is a dream for me to play under David Moyes!” – something you’ll never hear CR7 say. Fergie was the only reason top players signed for United over City and Chelsea, now that’s over. It’s become harder and harder for United to compete with the oil-rich clubs… will world-class, RVP-quality players like Falcao or Lewandowski want to play for Moyes?

Roberto Mancini’s meltdown continues! At the end of the 2012-13 Champions League match between Manchester City and Ajax, Mancini’s frustrations reached the boiling point when he attacked an innocent cameraman.

With yet another lackluster performance, the reality is that it is Manchester City who are finished in Europe’s elite competition.

This disappointing 2-2 home draw leaves Manchester City with just two points after four matches. Next opponents: Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund! Mancini finally threw in the towel during the post-match conference.

“Unfortunately we took only one point and now I think it is finished for the Champions League.”

What happened to the English champions who electrified the Premier League last year with their powerful and beautiful style of play?

MOTIVATION.

Manchester City were hungry in the 2011-12 season, and that hunger, desire, the will to win is gone. After winning the Premier League, City players believed that talent alone would bring them future success.

The honeymoon period is over and these ego-centric superstars refuse to fight for each other when things get tough. This was perfectly exemplified in the match with Ajax when, yet again, Balotelli, Yaya Toure, Aguero, and Tevez argued over who should take a free kick.

As Ajax went 2-0 up, Mancini sarcastically belittled his own players with a wry smile. Instead of guiding them during difficult times, he distances himself from them when they struggle, leaving Manchester City fans crying (GIF). Why don’t his players respect him? As Balotelli was substituted, images showed exactly what he thinks of his manager.

Would a Manchester United player dare risk being caught on camera screaming profanities at Sir Alex?

Another big missing piece for City this year is Micah Richards. This is a player whose drive, power and hunger rubs off on his teammates and City fans. His drive is contagious. What he lacks in skill he more than makes up with determination and the sheer will to win.

This is what separates winners from losers. As talented as he is, Mario Balotelli will never be  FIFA World Player of the Year because he simply does not care. True winners have an unstoppable drive to win. With his skill and talent, “Supermario” has the potential to be one of the best. Unfortunately, he lacks the work ethic and determination necessary to get there.

Skill and talent alone will only take you so far.

Why is Jose Mourinho happy to support Michel Platini and the new UEFA Financial Fair Play rules which will prevent clubs from spending more than they earn and limit player salaries?

This is the REAL TRUTH.

It’s not about which clubs Platini allows to spend. It’s about ALL clubs having a solid business infrastructure in place and making sure the reckless ones don’t bring the rest down with them when they fail.

Perhaps the REAL TRUTH is simple. Jose Mourinho knows that with their testosterone-fueled, ego-driven spending, the new breed of clubs are creating an illusion – a wealth smoke screen. Underneath the exciting facade lie poorly designed business foundations built on loose soil.

Eventually they will fail.
